A very attractive Canarian style property, rather quirky in character, but well presented and welcoming in many respects. A slightly awkward location to access, especially if using a hire car, which in our view, is essential, close to the town centre. Parking outside can be somewhat limited. Excellent breakfast on offer, in a rather limited scale dining area, where nothing was too much trouble for the helpful and friendly staff looking after guests. Comfortable room, with slightly odd bathroom arrangement, where whilst partitioned off, the ceiling is completely open!
Not that much, if anything to dislike.

Vintage property with what look like Canary pine, high gloss, varnish floors, I have stayed in this property before, but not made any comments about it, and the building alone deserves a comment, it has a slight musty smell from the heavy curtains and the oldness of everything, it could easily be a museum of a typical Canaria wealthy Home. The hotel is situated two minutes away from the Square and the famous Dragon tree.
On arrival, we press the doorbell, and we greeted by a very polite and helpful member of staff, we quickly realized the lady was the receptionist the cleaner and the Cook. Nothing was too much of a problem not that we had any, and the advice and recommendations were also extremely good. The breakfast was clean and plentiful with fresh coffee, pastries, fruit and eggs, accompanied with cheese and ham. We use taxis twice. I didn’t have to wait too long for their arrival. Make sure you have the hotel name and the correct street address for your taxi ride home

Full of character, made us feel like we were experiencing the local culture. Excellent breakfast and the staff accommodated our dietary requirements (I was able to have delicious vegan breakfast every day) and even packed a picnic basket for a day of an extra early start. Great location a short walk away from all the local spots and a good base for hiking trips. Extra points for the hotel cat!
After breakfast time there is no one around to ask for any recommendations etc. We checked in via phone so we had to show ourselves around and work out the hotel and where everything was. There was also no booklet that you usually find in hotels with all the house rules in the absence of staff (for example we weren’t sure which parking spots we were able to take up, we had no idea how much the items in the mini bar were, or what areas of the hotel are accessible to us - we found the door to the rooftop by accident). For people staying for one or two nights this might not be necessary, but we stayed for a whole week. This is a small nit pick on an overall great stay.

The hotel is a typical Canarian townhouse, very plain from out side but full of character on the inside. The magnificent hallway led to a beautiful garden room which in turn led on to a small outside garden. NB. The only outdoor space, unless you have one of the two balconied rooms. Up the impressive staircase leads to the upper floor with a beautiful salon/sitting room for use by guests. Polished mahogany type floorboards and shutters and generously furnished with paintings, bookshelves and tables, including a grand piano in one corner. Beamed ceilings in all rooms. Very opulent. Breakfast was good continental style served by a very nice young lady, provided there were not too many other guests wanting to have breakfast at the same time! Whilst there is a good bus service from the town I highly recommend the additional use of a car.
The room lacked suitable ventilation. The bathroom was an open room off the bedroom with no extraction system which made the whole room extremely hot when 2 people showered. The ground floor window, whilst very emblematic of the architecture, meant there were security concerns when the room was unoccupied or we were sleeping and with no other ventilation or a/c became unbearably hot some nights and this was mid September, not high summer. If you do decide to stay I recommend requesting a balcony room which may alleviate some of these issues. The breakfast room was small but characterful but not big enough to accommodate more than 3 room’s worth of guests comfortably. Overall I felt the price was expensive given some of the shortcomings.

Comfortable bed, special decorations, very nice breakfast, beautiful resting spaces, both indoor and outdoor :) The hotel is a real museum, nicely taken care of. And Loreta was very nice and effective with everything!
The bathroom in the room was well equipped and in good standards, but it is actually just a walls separation from the space of the room, separation that stops 30cm under the ceiling (the noises and potential smells from the bathroom were not well isolated). It actually didn't bother us too much, but it was a bit... weird. The welcome and entering the hotel was done by phone, as we arrived in the evening. It went very smooth, but felt a bit weird, always nicer to be let in by a present human :)

The hotel is in an historic Tenerife house which is superbly decorated and traditionally furnished. The breakfast served was very good as were the staff including a friendly black cat! There is a large first floor lounge where you can relax and also outdoor areas for sunshine.
The only problem was the hot water system which didn’t provide enough hot water in the mornings.

Beautiful old Spanish style. A former home structured around a central courtyard, built in the 19th century. We had a comfortable balcony in which to relax. Excellent choice of food for breakfast
No staff in the hotel other than at breakfast time. Had to phone owner on arrival who came after 5 minutes to let us in.

This building is absolutely beautiful. Behind a relatively plain facade lies a lovely traditional house decorated and furnished in warm colours and traditional furniture. The room we stayed in was stylish and comfortable with a large anteroom/dressing room separating the bedroom and the bathroom. Beds were particularly good. Breakfast was excellent and nicely served in the quaint dining room. The public rooms (drawing room and others on the first floor) were very attractive. Location for the park, dragon tree park and town was excellent. We were able to park right outside. We could see that the upstairs bedrooms had balconies with excellent views. Would definitely stay here again but perhaps ask for an upstairs room.
Sadly, when we were greeted, the host did not give us any information at all. He showed us to our room and told us the times of breakfast but no more. We would not have seen the rest of the house and been able to realise its full potential as a place to stay unless we had explored next morning after breakfast when a different member of staff was on duty. Our room had traditional shutters so was somewhat dark. As it was on the ground floor we felt a little exposed opening the shutters especially as these windows are not glazed (which I assume is traditional).

Grand old fashioned room in a luxury 1900 (?) period high class home with antique furniture, a beautiful garden and patio. Excellent breakfast.
All good. Ground floor room was actually a bit cold in January and I could get the TV to display ordinary TV channels, only YouTube.

The property had a great location near Mariposario del Drago . Great garden , very clean room. Great breakfast. Parking in front of the property for free . Very friendly staff.
The bathroom was situated in the same room but the wall was not completely up the ceiling and you could hear from the bed if someone was taking a shower.
