Hotel was easy to walk to from La Laguna, staff were extremely kind, facilties were excellent overall. Breakfast was simple but good, nothing exceptional by any means, but the personal touch of freshly made eggs and bacon offered to guests is excellent.

Staff do not speak english, only spanish. Worth noting if arriving late, you cannot get in without some other guest finding you. If you speak spanish obviously not an issue, but difficult to communicate in advance otherwise Otherwise, there is a rooster nearby whose vocal chords are most active between the hours of 5am and 7am. Lovely if you like the sound to wake up to, a little annoying otherwise.

Our host Marco barely spoke a word of English, but even with that he managed to show care and personality with our morning breakfasts and the help he offered. The food was simple yet delicious, and the short walk down the beautiful promenade to the city centre made it very easy to go out in the evenings. If you're a hiker, this is as close to perfect for being near hikes (by car) and the city (by foot) as you're gonna get, with plenty of easy off-road (and locked) parking. Would highly recommend!

A tiny bit of mould in our room, but not a big deal!

We loved the rustic feel of the hotel. We had a lovely room with beams and a terrace, comfortable beds and nice duvets. It was the perfect temperature to sleep with windows open but there are some very noisy cockerels nearby who seem to enjoy crowing all night! Breakfast was good with cold options including cereal, meat, cheese, yoghurt and croissant. However, the freshly cooked omelettes were outstanding. Cooked to perfection and piping hot. My husband enjoyed his fried eggs and bacon too. I chose this hotel because of the on-site parking and swimming pool. Although we didn't actually use the pool as we were too busy, it did look lovely (if cold).

The hotel was as advertised so we knew what to expect. There isn't a lot of storage in the bedroom and I had ants in my suitcase. It's an old building so this is not usual either. We would go back as it was great value for money.

The breakfast was good. We were always offered cooked eggs, cereal & fruit (kiwi fruit & banana). a croissant, bread, cheese/honey/jam/nutella, coffee &orange juice. It was plenty. The room was comfortable. There is some parking outside the property but when it was busy it was easy to find a parking space further down the street. The walk to town was pleasant & easy, down a pedestrianised, tree lined avenue. We were grateful to Marcos for waiting for us when we arrived very late for check in after we were delayed at the airport.

Little oasis just outside the city center of La Laguna. This elegant mansion is immersed in a huge garden with a nice pool area and trees all around. We got a room in the recently renovated upper level and were surprised by the attention to details and cleanliness of the space. Worth mentioning is the breakfast buffet, with the option of having eggs freshly prepared on order by the extremely sweet lady who runs this family-owned accommodation. Parking is available and free.

The bed is comfortable and the shower amazing. The pool and the breakfast are also nice. I appreciated the fact that they gave me a room with a balcony on the first floor, as I asked, and that I was allowed to enter the room at 13:00. The location is not perfect but you just have to walk 10minutes through an amazing pedestrian street full of palm trees to get there.

There is a teenager working there which makes too much noise going up and down the stairs every morning. Also when I asked him to get me a taxi he totally forgot it and I was waiting outside of the Villa for 20min and no taxi came, so eventually I had to go down town and get one on my own. He makes nice eggs on the breakfast though.

The accommodation is very tastefully decorated with a classic yet modern feel. Very clean. The breakfast was a lovely surprise , with fresh juice and a wide selection. We were disappointed that there was no parking at the property as I had hurt my ankle so finding the o street parking further down the road caused us a little stress. However, it is a 15 minute pleasant walk and the bedding was crisp and comfortable.

A bell , or message on the gate to allow access would have been helpful & the parking at the property would have been better for us but it wasn’t a big issue.

Easy to reach, calm, our room had it's own terrace, big garden, several sofa areas, good breakfast, very polite and helpful staff. Although their English was very limited, but they helped themselves with papers with translations tot ask eg which kind of eggs you wanted for breakfast. This also helped to learn some terms ourselves. It's quietly located outside the city but if you don't mind walking 1km to get to a restaurant every evening it's perfect, it's right at the end of a no-cars avenue that will take you straight to the restaurant/shopping/site-seeing part of San Cristobal de La Laguna.

No vegetables at breakfast, small area for parking, although there were enough spots for the number of rooms so I'm really looking hard to find negatives here. One real downside it shares with so many other places: two separate beds shoved together. We don't enjoy a Barranco between us 😉

We really enjoyed our stay in Villa Maria! The breakfast is top quality, the staff is very nice and our room was very spacious and clean, with a huge bathroom. The Villa’s garden is beautiful and full of local plants. The location was also perfect, right beside a very large pedestrian street full of palm trees that takes you right to the center of laguna in just 20 minutes. We highly recommend it!!!

The property was authentic and had the atmosphere of a large family home rather than a non-personal hotel. The room was spacious. The breakfast was fabulous. The pool at the property was a real treat. Our stay was fitting for our belated honeymoon.

The room had no air conditioning, and the nights were still warm (in November). Also, there was almost ongoing traffic late at night and early in the morning, preventing us from keeping the windows open.
