This hotel is ideally situated. We've stayed in the centre of Madrid before and it can be so noisy as it's a 24 HR city. We chose here as our family live nearby for an event but it turned out to be perfect to see Madrid. It is just across from line 1 Puerto de Vallecas which goes through to Gran Via in the centre and the number 10 bus goes straight to Retiro from outside. (Prado Atocha stop). Bakery right next door and a shop across the road. Went to El Escorial from here which you cannot miss. (One stop to Pacifico - change to line 6 - get off at Moncloa and get the 664 bus at Moncloa bus station. Buses really regular - even on a Sunday. Coming back from there most buses return to Moncloa and they're still regular. )Beautiful journey through northern Madrid and the palace and Basilica etc...chefs kiss beautiful. The hotel was perfect and we'd stay there again in a heartbeat. We were upgraded to a superior room which was huge. Fantastic WiFi connection (number on your check in card) you can pair your phone to access Netflix/YouTube etc.. mini bar if you want. Nespresso machine gratis for tea and coffee. Free toiletries in shower and usual toothbrush shower cap etc.. The staff were the icing on the cake. The reception staff were lovely and so friendly. (If you've ever stayed in Madrid this is not always the case!) Nothing was too much trouble and although we had a late afternoon flight they offered to keep our bags after check out. The cleaning staff were quiet if you wanted to sleep in and the room was spotless. Bath as well as shower! Air con was piped in our room rather than the standard unit. Perfect for us as it was set correctly and not noisy so you could sleep through it and it was gentle so didn't make you cold or wake you up. Bed was huge!! and comfy. Robes and slippers supplied. Big built on wardrobe. Safe to use on request. We would use this hotel again in a heartbeat. The staff were stand out for Madrid as a whole.

Nothing. A wonderful stay and we'll return again.

As always, great stay. Catalonia hotels are always a safe bet. Good quality for the price. Showers are very nice. Breakfast is great although a bit expensive.

You need to reserve with an upgrade if you want to have a water heater/coffee maker in the room. For the price paid in a normal room, I think it should be included. One small water heater costs nothing and would make may customers super happy.

Friendly, helpful staff Excellent buffet breakfast, including vegan options Comfortable, well-appointed rooms Good soundproofing

Wifi signal didn't reach my room; ended up having to change rooms... but the staff sorted this out very quickly and without any problem, and the signal was fine in the new room.

It was a great location, near the metro, buses, a supermarket, fast food joints. The staff was extremely attentive and kind. The room and the bed was big and comfortable, there was sufficient water pressure, the pillows were usable. Breakfast was varied and tasty with a large enough selection. In all, excellent value for money.

I don’t get why there is no duvet cover in hotels in Spain, only a duvet sandwiched between two sheets. This is very awkward and uncomfortable. While it might be advantageous for housekeeping, it is horrible for the guests.

I booked a superior room. It was super comfortable with excellent facilities. Mini bar and expresso machine, great water pressure in the shower. Nothing was too much trouble for reception. They advised on: how to use the Metro, where to eat, where to find department stores and designer shops in Madrid. All staff were super friendly, yet professional.

Nothing. Everything was good. It was good that there was an option for dinner, but it was a very restrictive menu and lacked vegetarian options. However, there are plenty of places to eat, locally.

Stylish, clean, and comfortable hotel with exceptional staff (highly professional and friendly). Spacious room with proper wardrobe and bathroom. The hotel is across the metro train station, along Linea 1 - an easy 10 minute ride into the centre of Madrid. Free fast wifi. Buffet breakfast is a must - includes all the best cold meat, bread, cheese, churros con chocolate, Spanish omelette, chorizo, freshly squeezed orange juice, pastries, fresh fruit selection, and so much more.

It was perfect for its offering.

The hotel was excellent - very comfortable and spotless. Breakfast was very good. Has very friendly and helpful staff, with excellent English. Alex and Alvarno were particularly helpful and friendly, as were the check-in staff. Travelled with two friends and we were pleased that our request for bedrooms near each other was fulfilled. The location is great - a very short walk to the metro and has bus stops nearby. On day of checkout we were able to leave our bags at reception while we explored the beautiful El Retiro Park - this was much appreciated.

Very good hotel located on the outskirts of the city center. There is a metro station just around the corner that makes traveling around super easy. Clean and spacious room with huge and comfy bed. Varied and tasty breakfast. AC is quiet. In our room there was a tea/coffee making set (kettle+nespresso). Friendly and helpful staff. We ask for additional blanket and were quickly provided with one.

There are some signs of wear in the room which in my opinion are quite normal after several years. Vegetables for breakfast were not fresh, seemed like leftovers from pervious days.

What I did not like is that my parents-in-law had to book 2 different rooms because they were with their 12 year old daughter and were told that the 3 of them could not stay in the same room. So my mother in law had to stay in one room with her daughter and my father in law had to pay for another room. My partner and I stayed in one room and the bed that we stayed on could easily fit 3 people. But it seems that they had bigger rooms for families and were all booked. Other than that, everything was perfect, everyone was friendly. They even offered to hold our luggage after checking out.

We only saw one member of staff, as we checked in after 8PM. The room we had was large, very clean and comfortable for our requirements as we only stayed for one night. There was coffee making facilities, which we didn't use, We didn't require breakfast, as we left very early the next morning. Location was ideal for our needs, close to family and less than 2 minutes from the station, it is even ideal as a budget hotel further from the center.

The bathroom needed some attention, but wasn't off putting. Also, the area of the hotel location itself, is not one of Madrid's best, sadly, but due to the vicinity of the underground station, we didn't mind at the price.
