The location was perfect, easily accessible by metro and took only 25 minutes from the airport. Right in the middle of Madrid so easy walkable access to the main sites. Room was clean, modern and comfortable. Good air-con and Wi-Fi throughout, including at the rooftop terrace and pool, which was such a bonus to cool off in after a day in the heat. The pool was never too busy and it was always possible to find a sun lounger. The staff were great and were always happy to help. Being able to store luggage on our day of departure was very helpful. Thoroughly recommended and would gladly stay again.

Fantastic location with everything at the hotels doorstep, the room is small but it’s all you need. Staff were very helpful.

Nobody told us about the pool being emptied and we booked specifically for the pool so that was quite frustrating. There was no compensation. Overall though, great stay. Would recommend.

I chose this hotel mainly for city walking, and the location was excellent.

However, the building was older than expected, and the room was quite dark even during the day. The lighting felt gloomy. There were many group guests, so the dining area and elevators were often crowded. The room was clean, but there was a noticeable smell. I was also disappointed that ice was not freely available—only provided at the bar in a small paper cup, and only if I went myself. I’ve never stayed at a hotel where ice wasn’t readily accessible. For me, having cold drinks is important when I’m relaxing, so this was a letdown. The shower was hard to control — I always ended up with a blast of cold water, possibly due to the age of the system. The water pressure was also weak, so washing my hair took longer than usual.

The hotel is beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooftop pool was amazing. The beds were extremely comfortable, and although the room overlooked the main street, the room was very quiet. Breakfast couldn't have been any better. So much variety. It is in a fabulous location, walking distance to attractions and right on the main shopping strip. If you want to stay in the heart of Madrid, this is a beautiful hotel.

The only disappointment was that there were no english speaking or subtitled tv channels for us to watch after a day of sightseeing. I think for a 4-star hotel that has so many english speaking tourists, this is something they should look at.

The breakfast could have a better fare and atleast a change every alternate day. Hot breakfast served should be communicated to guests as there was no communication of that at all. We happened to stumble upon it.

Th front desk staff could have been friendlier and helpful Additionally a very strange incident occurred in our room. Post a shower the vapour in the room created a sign on the bathroom mirror which read ‘HELLO’ in capital letters which spooked the daylight’s out of us as once the vapour vanished so did the sign. Yet get the chills when I think about it.

Everything was good. We didn't make use of too much facilities in the hotel as we went to Segovia for the day. It is nearby the metro and a lot of shops etc.

The security can be better if you load your luggage from the hotel into the car. It is a very busy corner and they stole my handbag with passport, cards and money while we were loading our luggage. The

The staff are very helpful and friendly ,the place is spotless, the breakfast is plentiful and varied.The room we had 602 was spacious and had a great bed and bathroom. A/c was efficient which was great see that the temperature was hitting 44°c. The pool area and staff are wonderful couldn't do enough to make you comfortable. The pool itself was very clean and lovely for an afternoon dip. Prices for a city centre hotel is on par with other quality hotels we have stayed in.

Lack of sunbeds around the pool, as sometimes guest from.other hotels pay to visit and occupy the beds. Only a minor gripe as the hotel.is marvellous. I will definitely be back.

This hotel is in the heart of the city along a beautiful street. The morning breakfast was extensive in a large room. The biggest highlight is the pool, which provides sweeping views of the city, the royal palace and is just a wonderful place to swim and relax on a hot day. It is right across the street from a subway stop, so it's easy to get to other neighborhoods to explore. Overall, very good.

The air conditioning in the rooms was pretty weak and there was no fan in the bathroom. However, this is a very old hotel, so I think that is to be expected. The rooms were quite nice other than that.

The hotel location is walking distance to major sites - Royal Palace, Plaza Mayor, Temple Debod, Plaza Espana, and Teatro Royal. There are numerous restaurants on the surrounding streets and shopping was plentiful on the Gran Via. The hotel faces Gran Via, which is super busy with people and cars. We were on the 5th floor and could not hear the traffic. The rooftop bar has an amazing view of the surrounding area. Great place to watch the sunset. The room was large, modern, and comfortable. When you enter your room, there is a hall leading to the bedroom. The bathroom is located in this hall - we appreciated this in the mornings when we had to use the hairdryer and didn't disturb whoever was in the bathroom. There is a Nespresso type maker in the room, which was great for our morning coffee. The hotel was literally steps away from the day tour company that we booked a day trip through to Segovia and Avila - helpful when you have to meet the tour at 830am! The front staff was friendly and accommodating. They stored our luggage before check in.
