- very good location, close to Calle Preciados and Gran Via - roomy and well equipped bathroom, with a bathtub - adequate storage space - balcony, refrigerator and "night lighting" - friendly and competent staff

- room is smaller than one might think from the pictures - in the "old building", you need to climb stairs to reach the elevators, the breakfast room, the roof terrace, etc. This is not advertised anywhere, creates difficulties for people with mobility problems and with heavy or big luggage. Despite this, no help with luggage was offered. - room fixtures are somewhat shabby, light bulbs keep going off, motion detector lighting for the toilet is maddening - the room safe is an older model, requiring you to use some type of card with a magnetic strip at each opening

This hotel in Madrid had an excellent central location ( just steps from Gran Vía and the city center) making it easy to explore the city. The facilities were great overall, and the staff were good at assisting us during our stay. Our room, which was comfortably arranged for three people, was satisfactory for our needs. A solid choice for convenience and helpful service

While the hotel is undergoing renovations, our room had not yet been updated and felt outdated, though it was still comfortable. Additionally, the floor we stayed on had a strong smell of cigarettes, despite the hotel being advertised as smoke-free. At night, the cigarette smell seemed to enter our room, which was unpleasant. Addressing these issues would greatly enhance the guest experience.

We really liked the location. It was within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast bar was good, but not a big selection, for the price.

There was an air conditioner problem with 2 of the 3 rooms I booked so they asked us to move to a different room. The single beds had wheels on the four legs and the rooms had a tile floor. There were no locks on the wheels so the beds would slide away from the wall if you sat up to read. The overall temperature of the room could not be adjusted, even the new rooms we were assigned. The hotel did not have a sitting area for gathering, other than the lobby, which was a busy place that caused the automatic doors to keep opening. It is December so it was cold! Would have liked an appliance to heat water for coffee/tea in our room.

The rooftop pool was nice , and the terrace above with great views over Madrid central was an added bonus and nice to sunbathe for an hour or so. The hotel was clean and reception staff attentive and very helpful. They allowed us to check in early which was much appreciated at the expense of adjoining rooms but we did not mind that at all. The hotel is in the middle of all the action in central Madrid (it seems) with good shopping, bars, plenty of restaurants and access via multiple metro stations very close by. Very quck and easy to walk to the major attractions in central Madrid.

The access to the terrace in the evenings was conditional on buying drinks from the hotel.

I like being in the middle of the action and watching people rushing in the square in front of the Hotel and going to the El Día supermarked. I had a good view from my room and enjoyed watching life outside. The room has nice furnitures, the two comfortable chairs and a small table at the big window was just perferct to sit and sip a coffee and enjoy the view over the Santo Domingo square. But, strangely they don´t offer milk in small units with the coffee or coffee creamer powder as in ALL hotels I have stayed in for the last 20 years I think. And when I rang to the front desk to ask for it I was told that the milk was finished!? Strange. But in the end, after several calls a nice staff member just brought me a whole liter of whole milk to keep in my refrigerator. That was the milk I used the next 3 days as the small units milk or the creamer powder never was supplied. I did not use the pool on the top floor as I forgot bathing suit and was just to busy, but I went up there and had one beer outside and saw that there was a lot of people enjoying sunbathing on the rooftop or cooling down in the swimming pool. Enjoying. The breakfast was nothing special so I only had breakfast once at the hotel. The breakfast room does not offer a view to the street which is something I like and the variety of food was not so good. I liked the mega-shower. You can choose between variety of currents and choose between different lights coming from the shower head.

The breakfast buffet was nothing special and rather dark breakfast room. Not very attractive. No milk or coffee creamer powder for the coffee which is no problem for most people I suppose but I am the coffee creamer woman I can´t drink black coffee.

The hotel is very central and you will reach the main street for tourists in a few steps. There is a subway-station just next to it, so it's easy to travel from it. The beds are very comfortable. The rooftop has a great view and the pool on top is really nice. A very comfortable hotel and the prize is low for the standard that you get. I'll recommend it, especially for being very central in Madrid.

I would have liked to get a bathrobe, which is comfortable when you walk to the pool and after. I find it strange that a luxury hotel doesn't have any?

The location is really good. The hotel is very clean and nicely decorated

They only had one coffee machine in the lobby and it wasn’t working for the 5 days that we’ve stayed there. There is no room service before 1pm Although we’ve turned the heat on, the room tends to get very cold, especially at night. Breakfast options very limited and always the same. No vegetables and barely any fruits’

The hotel's location was perfect- right in the centre of the city, but away from all major tourist traps. Right next to a metro station and one of the 'main roads' of shops/ attractions. All common tourist attractions were in a short walk/ train ride away which was perfect. The hotel even had a pool and rooftop bar which was great to use.

The walls were very thin- I could hear people walking past the room at night (even though they were only talking at a normal volume). One side of the hotel is also noticeably older/ more run down than the other; our other guests were in this side of the hotel and it didnt feel as welcoming as the other half I was staying in

Great location. Room small and tidy. Spacious bathroom. Comfy towels.

Bathroom was bit old, especially the shower facility needs replacing because it does not give the water pressure that one would expect. Air conditioning did not work properly and so (since it was December) it was cold in the room. WiFi at times worked perfectly but there were moments when I could not connect at all.
