Great location and good room. Mostly very helpful and friendly staff, although one evening we found the staff on the outside terrace a little stiff and rule bound.

Quite expensive for this quality hotel but overall a good stay. The pool terrace was lovely but had one bartender who was surly and more interested in watching football on his phone than serving us.

We invested in the Red Suite service that was offered and enjoyed the privileges that it allowed. Having access to tapas, food, and drinks when ever we wanted was a definite plus. It allowed us to enjoy Madrid without having to worry about timing of meals. We also prepaid for the breakfast offerings and found it to be exceptional. We also looked for a Hotel that provided an outdoor pool. Due to the extreme heat, the pool was the perfect way to cool off after our work day, and before we went out for the evening. Having a pool when I travel in the summer is a must, as it allows for such a refreshing way to cool off. The location was quiet but allowed easy access to all we needed. Definitely will return!

The beauty and elegance of the hotel are in every detail. The feeling of being treated as a duchess, really. The staff is amazing, making us feel at home and taking care of every detail. Excellent Spa and massage.

The bathroom. There is no counter to place all the bath, make-up, Duffy bag. Only a drawer that was pretty uncomfortable to use. Plenty of space in the bathroom to add a countertop. The hot water was never hot, only warm, and sometimes a current of cold water in the middle of the shower. if it wasn't for the bathroom annoying details this hotel would be a 10 for sure.

The room was excellent and spacious.

The check-in was very slow. We upgraded to the red level room with the benefit of access to the lounge, and it was like everyone could enter. I didn't feel the upgrade was worthy. The dinner menu for the main restaurant was limited, so we decided to have dinner out of the hotel.

It’s a beautiful hotel; grand but not opulently gaudy. Reception staff were so warm and welcoming. We were even offered a glass of champagne whilst we were checking in! I had booked a standard room but upon checking in was informed that we are getting a free upgrade to a premier room, what a lovely surprise! Our room on the ‘palace’ side was nicely decorated, very spacious. Bed and pillows were so soft and comfortable. I literally ‘sank’ into the bed each night. Bathroom was big too, with two wash basins and a bath tub. Location wise, it was quite central. There were some very nice restaurants nearby and a metro was also very close by. We had booked a tour through Viator and were happy to find out that the meeting point was like 200m from the hotel. All in all we had a lovely 3-night stay, wished we had stayed longer. Next time…

Fabulous room, beautifully decorated and furnished and well equipped. Very quiet, slept very well in an extremely comfortable bed. Great position for getting around Madrid and near 3 metro stations. Staff very friendly and helpful, bar and restaurant food excellent. Really great breakfast offering set us up well for a day of sightseeing. Complimentary chauffeured minivan to take us to where we wanted to go (airport and station excluded) was useful at start of each day. Nice rooftop bar, pool small but refreshing.

Nothing - we wouldn’t hesitate to go back when visiting Madrid again.
