The hotel is super well located — just a 5-minute walk to Gran Vía and right next to the Ópera metro station, which made getting around the city very easy. The room is on the smaller side, but we had large suitcases and still managed just fine. The bed was very comfortable, and the towels were high quality, which we really appreciated. The shower was excellent, and the sink area had enough space for our toiletries. The windows have blackout shades, which made it really comfortable to sleep. One big plus: there’s a supermarket right next door, which was super convenient for picking up snacks and drinks. Everything was great — highly recommend!

The hotel is well located near Metro station Opera, from where all hot spots of Madrid can be easily reached by public transport and even by walking ! All delightful pedestrian and shopping areas around, markets, local tapas bars, main attractions & main sights of the city. The room was big enough, comfortable and clean. The breakfast was nothing extraordinary, though offering sufficient variety to start everyday fully motivated and with best mood ! The staff was very friendly and concerned in case support and advice was needed. Highly recommended and absolutely worth coming again - I felt very welcome !

The location of the hotel was superb, everything was within walking distance and you had great access to the metro if you wanted to travel further out. The room was immaculate and the beds were super comfy. Breakfast was on until 12 which is fabulous as it meant you didn't have to rush to get down for breakfast and there was warm food as well as continental. I would also like to say the staff were amazing, we had been up from 3.30am and the receptionist Naomi, got us the first room the cleaners got available and on that evening, I had realised I had left a european plug adaptor at home and another lady at reception helped me with this and got me one to use for the whole stay with them. Staff couldn't have been more helpful.

The only thing I would say was there was no bar in the hotel, but this really isn't a down side as there were plenty of bars/restaurants nearby, just more of an observation.

Good, fairly spacious room with very comfortable bed. Friendly staff - when I mentioned on arrival that it was my wife's birthday, the young woman on reception came up with a small bottle of sparkling wine on ice. And when the loud music in the middle of the night turned out not to be from a nearby club, as we'd assumed, but the next door room, we phoned reception at 04.00 and someone came up immediately to silence them.

The breakfast which we had only once - it looked a good buffet spread but all the ingredients were of poor quality.

Location. All of the top tourist attractions are in walking distance from this hotel. Closest metro station (Opera) is 100 m away. We've arrived very late, but there was no issue with checking in after midnight. Even though the hotel is in the center, there were no annoying noises. C. de Campomanes is very quiet and calm. Beds are comfortable, and we could rest after busy days of sightseeing. Breakfasts were nice. Worth the price. Fresh rolls, good Spanish ham, croissants, fruit. Good coffee. WIFI worked fine.

Bathroom in our room was very small and the size makes it a challenge for ventilation. In consequence the ceiling in the bathroom got moldy. For someone with allergy for mold this could be a very big issue.

Great central location in the Old town in a small quiet street. Clean rooms, very kind staff, good price for value. Hair conditioner and other toiletries were provided which was great.

Breakfast was varied but of poor quality and expensive. If we could turn back time, we would have eaten breakfast or brunch in the nearby restaurants for half of the price and with better value.

Ten out of ten for location and reception staff with personal touches. Very comfortable beds, air conditioning quiet and effective. Hair dryer had a long lead which meant you could plug in and reach a mirror!!Very close to opera metro. Safe area and close to bars and restaurants, in fact close to all main sites. We bought a 4 day tourist metro pass but didn’t really need it as we could walk to the main attractions.

It would have been good to have reading lights next to the bed and maybe a grab rail in the shower.

I liked the walking distance to all the major tourist spots. Staff was very good, very friendly! Place is even close to a metro stop!

Every night we heard a loud metal cart, then a dump truck picking up garbage all of which are pretty loud and persist for a while late at night. Had more than 1 night a group of loud teens screaming at the top of their lungs walking by the hotel (just got done partying I’m sure). But nothing the hotel can control.

Room Mate Mario is like coming home in Madrid. It's a little pricey but worth the money to me. Breakfast is great, the rooms are comfortable (the regular ones are very small, I always take a delux) the staff is always on hand. It's a great place.

Nothing really. It's priced a little high but only a little. If I really had to nit pick I wish the shower curtain covered the whole bathtub. They have a little piece of glass and it's impossible to take a shower without getting the floor really wet like I said, that's not picking.

The location was great as it was in middle of city centre and the hotel rooms were comfortable and clean. Staff were very friendly.

The breakfast was limited and stone cold ( eggs/veg) The coffee machine would dispense coffee grounds in the coffee. Once the food was finished such as buns/cheese it was not re-filled so the choice was limited. There was not enough tongs to pick up veg and non veg products. Also, I witnessed a kitchen staff touch foods with her bare hands. Over all we found the breakfast options not so appealing.
