I saw 3 elderly ladies working and maintaining the rooms. They were all so kind and hard-working. Margarita treated me like a son and I felt fantastic. She was extremely nice and thanks to her my stay in Madrid exceeded expectations. I fell in love with the city, and Spain in general. Beds and pillows were comfortable, and all the amenities worked perfectly. It was also clean enough not to complain honestly. Anyone who complains about the noise should seriously reconsider their opinion simply because the location is in the heart of Madrid and you are staying in a beautiful building where the rooms are close to each other. Thanks once again. I highly recommend, perfect value for money.

Staff was very friendly, location was amazing, rooms were cleaned while we went out, bathroom was big, bed was comfortable, the Spanish breakfasts were super lovely, hard to fault.

The lift could just barely fit two people which wasn't much of an issue for me and my friend until we were rushing for an Uber with our suitcases and had to go down one at a time. The hostess couldn't speak much English but we got by with Google translate. I suppose it was a bit weird that someone kept coming into our room to clean it while we were out but I did appreciate that it stayed so clean.

Pretty good sized room with bigger than average bath, clean and neat. Good bed. Super nice staff, helpful, kind and friendly, especially the Galacian woman running the front desk. I always say "en mi corazon yo soy Gallego." Lovely person. You can't beat the location either -- walkable to Plaza Mayor and Gran Via with great nightlife and dining. Still we requested a "quiet" room and it was indeed quiet! Place is in an alley street and their buzzer is in the upper right of front door area, a bit high -- there's a number of buzzers/buttons etc so it is confusing at first. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

It's a great location. Staff very very friendly and helpful. I showed up at 10am asking if they can keep my bags before check-in time and they helped me.

Room was hot. Impossible to cool down in Madrid summer. The window was open when we arrived and took almost half of the night to cool down. It's a sunset side. Walls scratched but I'm okay with it. Elevator was out of service when arrived. They fixed it during the day but we have to carry the bags 4 floors.

So centrally located right by Opera tube station and a 5 minute walk from The Palace. We walked everywhere around Munich from the hotel which is in a quieter side street just 30 yards from the bustling centre of Madrid. Very quiet rooms well sound proofed. Comfortable but slightly hard mattress but we had a very good nights sleep while we were there. Plenty of comfortable pillows too. Easy access and staff on site all the time we needed them. Very early and late check in times and the hotel looked after our bags after check out too.

It is basic accommodation which is reflected in the price but very clean and the central location is the main attraction.

The lady at reception was a diamond. So helpful and kind to help even she did not speak English very well. The location is excellent. If you are looking for a simple accommodation with great location and you are modest with extra services, I can recommend. For a short stay it was good choice.

One of the rooms with window was bit cold, but the staff provided extra blanket when requested. Also, you could literally hear all noises from other rooms, which was bit disturbing during the night.

The accomodation is in an older building wich has a certain charm of a bygone era. Its pretty well taken care of and the ladies that work there are attentive,polite and social. Its right there smack in the center of the city which makes sense if you want to walk around everywhere but theres also subway very closeby. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.

It needs a bit of renovating in the bathroom and adjacent, i'm not saying its in a bad state because you can very well handle your business but still there are some things that need to be attended to.

Excellent location near Plaza de la opera . Very clean rooms and serviced daily . The owner / receptionist , Margarita was there daily from early morning to late . She was very friendly and most helpful .

It was hard to find and every floor and side had a different property . Also the elevator was tiny and sometimes would not operate

I love the place, it is situated in an old building and the hotel is in the 3rd floor. But once you enter, it is like you are transported to a different place. The place is cozy, there were 2 old women who spoke Spanish. One understands English, so I still managed. The room is clean and they clean it everyday and change the towels. I love the location, it is near San Miguel Market, Plaza Mayor, Catedral de la Almudena, Royal Palace, and Sol. Super worth it for the price of their rooms. They don't have breakfast though, but there are a lot of food shops around so you won't get hungry.

The blinds I did not know how to pull it down but when they clean the room, they pull it down for you. There was a refrigerator in my room but it was not working, I don't really need a refrigerator so it did not bother me.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room, bed and en-suite were great. The hotel was very close to Opera, the Palacio Real, Plaza Mayor, Sol, Gran Via etc. Easy walking distance to all these places and to metro stations. Lots of good shops, cafés and restaurants close by in Calle Arenal.

A slight smell of cigarette smoke in the corridor.
