Location is just perfect, close to Opera and Sol. Perpendicular street below has a lot of restaurants and there are a couple of grocery stores near by. But look for Dia supermarket, even if farther. Fridge was full size one - that is really rare and super convenient in the hotels! Complimentary coffee in the morning - actually good. Oven, full cutlery set, including knives and cans and wine openers, glasses. You can save significantly if you buy food at grocery stores and cook there. Room is pretty clean, staff is friendly. Room service is once in two days.

Kettle and toaster were available BUT electricity outlet was farther than length of the wire for both. Apparently administration did not even check. Sound from street was practically blocked, but neighbors were pretty audible, especially in the bathroom area. There are, strangely, neither safe nor closet. Easy to miss the entry door, there is NO far away visible sign. Luggage storage area is open to everybody, self service, remove your valuables, if you use it. Really small shampoo portions - problem of many hotels.

Very good, central location with ease of access to local metro stations (Opera and Sol stations only few mins walk away.). 24 hour manned reception desk with very friendly, helpful staff who provided very useful advice to any questions we had. Linen, towels changed and room cleaning conducted every alternate day. Very clean, tidy and comfortable. Courtesy coffee, water (and on occasion wine) available in reception area.

Nothing really to complain about and all good. For info …. We visited in November and chose one bedroom apt which had very simple/small seating area. Also only 3 windows which all look out onto other walls only few feet away. Personal thing, but found bit dreary to sit around in for too long. Not really big problem in November but in warmer/lighter weather would probably opt for a room with an outside window or balcony. (However, there is a communal roof terrace available though to sit outside- but bit parky in Nov)

Close to everything. Staff was excellent. Room was clean and good amenities.

You could hear loud talking in the hallway. On our last night, we had to open the windows because the AC was not working. According to the front desk because it was still cold outside, the AC was taken down on the rooms and we had to open our windows to get cool air. Made it even noisier.

We rented the penthouse apartment and had a wonderful stay. The apartment was clean and spacious, with a sofa bed in the small living area and a double bed in the bedroom. The only drawback was the mattress as hard as rock. The apartment had all the basic kitchen facilities, though there was no dishwasher or washing machine. However, I believe these can be arranged through the front desk for an additional fee. Additionally the little veranda was a charm. There was coffee and tea available in the room, and a complimentary self-service area in the reception as well. The location is absolutely spectacular—just a stone’s throw from the Opera metro station and within walking distance of Sol and Gran Vía. I personally prefer this area over Sol because of its proximity to the Opera building and the Royal Palace gardens. If you turn right, you can walk to all the busy shopping areas; if you turn left, you can enjoy a peaceful stroll to the Opera and the Palace gardens—all within a 7-minute walk. The 24-hour reception made things very convenient for travelers. While there’s no formal breakfast service, muffins are available in the complimentary reception area, and there are plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby. All in all, it was a delightful stay—and we would definitely return!

The rock hard mattress which needs to be changed

Centrally located that one can walk everywhere. Opera metro less than 5 minutes walk. Instead of taking metro, we used Uber and it is not expensive. All the staff were very accomodating and helpful. Special mention to Claudia at the reception who helped us figure out how to operate the washing machine ( Apt 2G, superior 2 bedrooms, 2 baths). The apartment is very clean although a bit tight for party of 5.

We are fine with the cleaning every 2 days. However, it would be better to have the garbage collected daily, or inform guest where they can leave the garbage daily for pick up by housekeeping. We would have preferred to have a regular coffee maker instead of a pod coffee machine The bedroom on the street side is very cold as the balcony glass doors do not close properly. You can hear the noise from the street late at night. The 2nd bedroom at back can get very warm.

Great location and we could walk everywhere. Very close to metro if needed. Reception desk staff very welcoming and helpful, nice to be able to have a complimentary glass of wine in the evening in the lounge. Spacious rooms, but could do with a bit more counter space in both living and bathroom.

Would have liked complimentary coffee pods daily instead of just one when we arrived. We could buy extras from reception at €1, but at the room price I think they could provide these free. Room a little noisy but I guess that’s just Madrid.

The location is superb! A safe quiet street between C. Arenal and C Mayor - so walkable to Sol Plaza/Metro and Plaza Mayor --- and a quick walk west to the Palacio Real and Grand Via is a short walk north that will take you east to the Museo del Prado and then walk down Paseo del Prado to the Thyssen and Reina Sofia Museums. Really centrally located. No problem finding food places with tapas, Mahou (bier), Sangria and the Tinto de Verano. The San Miguel Mercado is steps away. However, we tried to look for out of the way less trendy areas to eat. Various metros are nearby to take you out of the city or to explore nearby neighborhoods. The apartment we had was spacious with microwave, refrigerator and stove top - furnished with everything to make the stay comfortable. There is an elevator though we were a first floor apartment. Wine evenings every night and a simple continental breakfast in the AM (coffee, juice, muffin) with water and soda reasonably priced for purchase. There is a liquor store nearby. Safe in the room also for your passports/valuables etc. While your room number is on the passkey card with the apartment address, I suppose if you were worried about losing it during your daily adventures you could leave it at the desk for safe keeping as there is someone there 24/7 - making it a secure place. Staff was SOOO engaging and super helpful in assisting us to get around the first few days. Definitely would stay there again!!!!

There was nothing we did not like about this stay - perfecto!

This is a hotel with a reception. You get a small apartment and it is fully renovated and everything works perfectly. You get a full sized fridge and decent space. The hotel itself is very nice, you get every other day cleaning, sheets get changed on your fourth night, and have in mind room gets cleaned around 2-3 pm so be prepared to not be in the room during that time. Laundry is 5 euros, you get a pod and can use the washer and dryer after that. You also get a mini muffin and orange juice in the morning and a glass of wine at night, complimentary. And coffee and tea all day at the reception. There are many mini markets around the area, but do not sleep on the corte ingles supermarket. It even has ready to take out food, great choices

Staff is friendly, I definitely want to come back to this hotel, price works out better if you stay more nights. For 2 nights its a bit too expensive, I would rather go elsewhere which is a pity since I really liked this hotel.

It was a really enjoyable stay. All staff were very helpful and friendly despite our poor spanish. Having coffee, orange juice, and cake at reception in a morning and wine in an evening was a really nice touch. The hotel had everything you needed and was on a generally quiet street just off a main street to Puerta del Sol. This square was always busy and has access to the Metro. It is easy to find quieter streets, though nearby, for coffee as well as lots of good places to eat within easy walking distance. Also the main places to visit are nearby. Good value for money with clean, comfortable, and good-sized rooms. All you would need for your city visit.

Everything was good for us. Thank you, New Point Opera.

Brilliant location within a few minutes of Sol Plaza. Catch one metro line to Sol and a few minutes walk to the hotel. Bars, resraurants, patisseries, souvenier shops all around. Lively area. Room had kitchen, all cooking needs, big fridge...really great for some self-catering. No breakfast, but coffee or tea and a muffin gratis. Order a taxi to the airport ( our flight left too early to use the metro) for fixed price.

Balcony was too small to sit out on, but did allow fresh air inside. View of abandoned building opposite was not good, but hotel location near Sol made it not an issue.
