Very helpful and responsive hosts, great location if you would like to be near Sol and Plaza Mayor, and very clean. The room I stayed in was basic but the bed was comfortable and it had everything I needed during my stay (fresh towels, shampoo and shower gel, a place to hang a few things, full length mirror, etc). As other reviewers have mentioned, the elevator stops between floors (12 steps up/down), so that’s something to bear in mind if you’ve got mobility issues.

The location of this accommodation is perfect if you want to visit Madrid Center. You go out and have all the Lively streets around you and you have all the Metro trains and other trains of Madrid right in front of the door. The hotel is nicely clean and well-kept. It is not a luxury accommodation which is clear by the price but you have to decide for this and then it is really a perfect place to be during the night while being active during the day. And, most important for me,the beds are very good, firm and not soft. I really slept very well in this accommodation!
I really have nothing to put it here

I loved this hostel! I booked a private room and I was welcomed warmly. Despite the small size of my room, it was so functional! There was a desk and a closet area with hangers for me to hang my clothes. There was AC! The bed was so comfortable. The hostel was really clean, no bugs or dust in my room, and bathrooms were kept sparkling. The best part is that it was so quiet. I'm really sensitive to noise as a light sleeper and it just felt so calm and peaceful here, while at the same time being in a central part of town! Location was 100/10 too. There is even a coffee vending style machine in the lobby (I can't remember how much each cup costed, but it was super cheap and there were many options to choose from!) The only thing to note that I was a bit confused by at first is you just have to buzz the door when you arrive and take the elevator up to the 4th floor. Perfect stay and I look forward to returning! For reference, I traveled solo and this seems like the type of hostel where you can relax and keep to yourself rather than meet other travelers as there wasn't a common area for hanging out. (However, since I was in a private room, my experience could be different than if you booked a shared room.)
Nothing, it was exactly what I needed.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hostel. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the city, and incredibly close to the metro, which made it so easy to explore all the must-see spots in Madrid. The room was not only spacious and comfortable, but also very peaceful, ensuring I had a truly restful and relaxing experience. The bathrooms were spotless and incredibly well-maintained—probably the cleanest I’ve ever seen. I also loved the coffee machine with its wide selection of delicious coffees, a great way to start the day! A huge thank you to Angelo for his outstanding help and attentiveness. He was always so kind, thoughtful, and willing to assist with every request, making my stay even more enjoyable. His hospitality really made a difference. I wholeheartedly recommend this place, and I can’t wait to return

If you are still wondering where to stay in Madrid, I 100% recommend Hostal Patria Madrid! It is located right in the heart of the city — truly in the very center! You step outside and you are immediately surrounded by all the main attractions, stunning architecture, and just minutes away from countless bars, restaurants, cafes, and shops. Despite the central location, once you close the windows, you’ll enjoy absolute peace and quiet — the soundproofing is excellent. The price-quality ratio is outstanding, and the cleanliness of the rooms is simply exceptional — I haven’t seen such high standards of cleanliness in a long time (honestly, it’s cleaner than at home!). The owner, Angelo, is an incredibly kind and attentive person. This was the first stop on our journey, and thanks to him, it started perfectly. Highly recommend!

Location is really good. Close to the center of the city, Madrid's royal palace and Plaza Mayor. And it’s also close to the subway station. Overall the accommodation was good.
The flat is shared with more people, and it wasn’t clear in the booking description. You might have a room with private bathroom, but you share the rest of the flat with more people. The reception is confusing.. there’s no indication regarding where you should go to check-in. Don’t count on staff to help or guide you in the city.. they mostly clean and organize the rooms.

I was able to book in the same day and the owner was very friendly. More of like a custom friendly experience than a regular hotel that depending on what you are looking for could be better or worst. Everything was tidy, very clean and they took care of my luggage for the day. Also the location was unbeatable yet the room silent enough to have a great sleep.
Nothing specific. If you are looking for a premium room this is not the place, although the price is not low. The elevator was not working and I had to go 4 floors by stairs but thats circunstancial, I hope it gets fixed soon.

Outstanding location. Walking distance to everything. Amenities stores/24 h pharmacy across the street. The nicest and most welcoming owner ever! Plaza mayor and plaza del sol ~ 2 min walk. Plenty of restaurants around. Hot water always available and good water pressure. New towels every day. Rooms well isolated and the hostel was quiet. We were out all day and all we needed is a place to nap from jet lag and sleep at night and this was a great place to do so.
Balcony is small, only 1 person can stand, was able to use it only to take souvenir pic of the location lol

Absolutely perfect location. The aparment is really nice, clean, airconditioned. The host was very nice and helpful in every way.
The room window is facing the inner shaft and currently there are some works with the elevation so the scaffolding is blockong the daylight in entore apartment. It didn't bother us that much though because we were out most of the day.
