The Hostal Aerosol is in the middle of Madrid. All the point of interest can be reached in short walks. The Sol metro station is 2 minutes walk from Hostal Aresol. I arrived there from Madrid airport by metro within 40 minutes. The Hostal is in a beautifull old and very well kept building. I stayed in a single room which was not big still very comfortable, I had enough place for everything. Room and bathroom were perfectly clean. The hosts speak English and are very helpful. I could storage my lagguage till late afternoon there before starting to the airport.

Great location
The reception is on the third floor which was not made clear to me so I spent a long time getting quite stressed trying to find where the accommodation actually was. The signage on the street is poor which didn’t help and when you do get through the front door there is just a very old lift and a stairwell with no indication of where Hostal Aresol actually is! I met another couple in that area who also had no idea what to do either. Luckily a tenant of the building came by and told us to take the lift to the third floor. Everything was good once we found the reception area.

Excellent location, especially if one has the time to explore all the better known sites of Madrid. The small room and private bathroom were quite clean and functional. The host is very attentive and helpful.
While this is a central location, the first cab driver would not drive up to the hostal's front door (when another one would), stating that cars weren't allowed onto that street; the host will verify that it is allowed, and in fact, ordered my taxi for my departure right to the front door. The hostal's signage is very discreet and it made locating it very difficult , at first. My room was also very noisy in the late evening and early morning (my room faced delivery access to other businesses). The old elevator was very narrow, making it a tight squeeze with luggage, but standing sideways made it doable.

I liked the location bed was super comfortable and the ensuite nice. Really liked the lift always worry with the old buildings of they have a lift or not. The staff were friendly and fixed any issues. I would stay here again. Location is Sol which is central to everything and midway to palace and the big park and gran nuvio everything in pleasant walking distance and near some nice food spots.
It's not that I didnt like anything but would be nice to have some coffee tea facilities. Not sure if there was one wasnt really shown when I arrived.

As a single traveler, this was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. It's at Puerto del Sol. The staff were super nice and the woman at the reception on my arrival day even let me check in a little earlier and I'm very grateful for that. It was the best smelling room I've ever had! The hotel is very close to Gran Via and Plaza Mayor. You can walk everywhere! All the busy streets, shops and restaurants are just around this hotel. I've already recommended this place to my couple friends who are going to visit Madrid in May. Thank you so much.

Everything was beyond mys expectations to be honest. I stayed i Hostal Aresol just for one night, dueing the weekend of the Champions final and it was the accommodation with the lowest price still available. 68 euro for an ensuite single room in Puerta del Sol is as good as it can get. Everything was clean, wifi was strong, bed was comfortable and air conditioning worked well. As others mentioned, you can leave your bag for free at the reception until 3 pm of the day of the check-out, it costs 5 € to leave it after that.
The rooms and corridoors have wooden pavements so maybe you might hear other guests moving around (not my case, i slept like the death)

The location was superb, it was comfortable, affordable for the location and the staff were helpful. The room we got was 2 twin beds; overlooking a quiet courtyard which was nice given how loud Madrid can be at night. Our washroom had a tower warmer which came in handy to dry our clothes from some hand washing.
Just having to use stairs vs the tiny tiny elevator. It is 4 flights so it wasn't too bad but something to be aware of. We were also situated at the very end of the complex which isn't too bad for noise. The receptionist barely spoke any English so we relied on our Spanish and Google translate but they were still very nice and wanted to help us. Lastly the key system was a tad confusing and getting in to check in the first time wasn't as easy but it wasn't too bad either. These are all minor things and something that we did not mind but just wanted other people to be aware of.

The location is perfect, just steps away from Puerta del Sol. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The table was quite useful. It’s not a fancy place, but a really practical one, where everything works well. There are plenty of nice breakfast options nearby, I recommend Taberna 4 Robles.
It would have been perfect if the room was just a little bit bigger, but this was not an issue for us. As a suggestion, a minibar to store cold/fresh stuff would be a nice addition to the room.

It was comfortable and incredibly clean. Everything was sanitised and the bedding and towels were very clean. The superior room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The staff was very nice and helpful.
As it's super central, the exterior room was a bit loud as it's a pedestrian road with lots of people. Having said that, I slept ok and the windows were quite insulating against the noise. I would say an interior room would be quieter.

Amazing place to stay, right in the center of Madrid. Bars and cafes everywhere. Short walk away from interesting places to visit. Massive parks to walk around. Tube station about 100 meters away. Staff were fantastic, room cleaned everyday. When we checked out, we could leave our bags there until 3pm for free, as we didn't need to be at the airport until late that day.
That we had to go home 😒
