The location is great, everything is in walkable distance. The bed in the room is comfy and the bathroom is clean. The building gives out a very cool vibe especially going the stairs.

It's very noisy in the room that we got - it's right over the streets(and restaurants) and the windows don't do much to stop out the sound. So until 2-3 in the morning we got constant noise, screaming and honking.

This was a quick stop as we had to arrive earlier than originally planned. We arrived and were greeted earlier than check in. Our luggage was kept so we were able to wander and grab lunch until the room was ready. A map with recommendations was given including places not to stop and eat which was great. This is in a great area near to loads of places for food and drinks as well as buildings to visit. The room once in was beautiful and clean and had all you needed even a complementary water each, tea ,coffee and a small bottle of bubbly 🥂 A fab touch. Our son and girlfriend arrived before we were due to check out. They were allowed to store their luggage with ours and have a quick nap before we checked out. We left all the luggage there while we went for lunch then we collected to move on to our original booked apartment. Thanks for the welcome a great start to our time visiting Madrid 🥰

More than meet the eyes. Under the hull of a very old building , is hidden this great Hostal . In a totally remodelated 2nd floor they have laid out impecable brand new smalll rooms with bathrooms you may not find in many 3 or 4 stars hotels. Perfect for short stays , with a little fridge filled with a welcoming courtesy bottle of Cava and two bottles of water ( !) , coffee, safety box, flat tv . Location steps away from Mercado San Miguel and Plaza Mayor very close by. I have rarely stayed in a Hostal in my life , but reviews caught my attention. It was totally worth it considering value for money. Will come back

litterlary EVERYTHING! We could NOT fault this accommodation... I have stayed in many hotels as i travel a lot and i've got to say that Hostal Met madrid put some much more expensive hotels to shame ! The accommodation is EXCEPTIONAL! THE LOCATION is less that 30 seconds to the amazing food market ! Cava and water is provided ( never had Cava provided ).. Tea and coffee provided ,safe provided and even Make up wipes !... Littke things make a massive massive difference and this small place has nailed it ! Our room was HUGE ! With 3 windows .. I HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND Met Madrid.. for the price it's EXCEPTIONAL . BIANCA who checked up in and out was AMAZING! excellent English.. gave us a map and highlighted where to go and where was too expensive to eat and where was the best Tapas area . Bags can be left before and after check in . The metro can be a little confusing to get to central Madrid so recommend a Taxi ( cost €33 set rate ). I WOULD DEFINITELY STAY HERE AGAIN! Was sooo clean too THANK YOU FOR SUCH AN AMAZING TIME IN MADRID XX

LOVED EVERY SINGLE THING

Absolutely amazing location near great breakfast/coffee spots, restaurants, bars & all the major sites. We walked everywhere. The place also had great facilities in the room (safe, fridge, usb charging points, powerful hairdryer & amazing shower). Great cleaning process, very secure. Despite other reviews we found the room size perfect. Staff were lovely & welcoming - we had a nice welcome with water & a bottle of cava in our fridge which we enjoyed whilst looking out from our little balcony too (thank you).

The soundproofing between rooms seemed virtually non-existent. We didn’t mind the outside noise as we’re in a central area in a major city, but there were more than a few occasions where we could hear next doors tv very loud, as well as their bathroom habits. This, however, did not diminish the enjoyment we had in staying here. It wouldn’t put us off returning at all.

We loved the location, just off Plaza Mayor and close to some great local bars and eateries. Also very close to the Metro. The place was spotlessly clean and although compact it had everything we needed, including a fridge. The shower was excellent. A great base for our trip to Madrid!

The soundproofing was very poor. We heard everyone enter the corridor, even though it was clear that people were trying to be considerate. Every time a shower was used or a toilet flushed, the noise travelled.

I loved absolutely everything of the hotel. Amazing location, incredible room, super bright and very well located. Clean toilets, nice decor, it has and a kettle/cups which makes everything easier if you wanna buy some few snacks or have a coffee in the room. It also has TV and air conditioning. The person at the reception (forgot her name but she’s from Romania) was super kind and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends!

The beds are quite hard, also the pillows.

Location was absolutely perfect. Right in the heart ❤️ of Madrid Everything was right where we were Staff were so very friendly Victor was always smiling,helpful and friendly as was a lovely Colombian staff member again friendly smiling helpful It was quiet and that was excellent as the city was so busy. We had a Juliet balcony which we stood on and gazed into the street below Bed was comfortable and we liked how they cleaned the room and supplied coffee tea etc Also a good sized fridge Shower room was very good too No complaints 👌 good value for money

My sister and I stayed just for one night. The room was great, clean and modern. The room came with two bottles of water, a small bottle of Cava, tea bags and coffee. We arrived around 1am and they kindly waited for us for the check in. Really responsive when having questions or doubts. Good location.

Nothing to add, we just stayed for a night - practically for a few hours. For us it was a great choice considering it was just for a night. (Nothing to do with the hotel but just a recommendation) If you arrive late late at night, better walk from the Sol stop and not the Opera stop. We found some drunk guys around Opera and walking towards the hotel, so we were a bit scared but NOTHING happened. This is just a recommendation for girls.

Very good location, very close to major sights in Madrid and to public transport (metro and trains). The room we had was small but comfortable for our 3 days in Madrid. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are clean.

Nothing to complain about on my end, just as a heads up for people that may be traveling with a lot of luggage: the room is not very big so there may be a space issue for you (we saw that some rooms were significantly bigger that ours though)
