The room was really good for the price. Staff seemed friendly. Shared bathrooms were clean and we never had to queue. Great location near the main square and opposite a lively food market. There's also a supermarket just next door but we didn't discover that until the last night as we always turned right to our destinations and it is on the left!

There was no access to drinking water so we had to buy bottled water. Tea/coffee making facilities would have been great, even if in a communal area, but maybe that's just a British thing. We were there 5 days and they could have emptied the bin as it was full of water bottles 😆

I was surprised at how great this place was to stay. We stayed in May and the building was nice and cool. The room was very clean with an outside balcony overlooking the food marketplace. You are right next to Plaza Mayor and the Royal Palace of Madrid is a 10 min walk. It does not get any better for locations at an affordable rate.

Madrid is a late night city and it the Hostal is right in the city centre. If you are sensitive to noise at night, bring earplugs.

The bed I found it very comfy. The room was spacious and clean, and the shared bathroom as well. The Hostal has good link to public transports, as located in the centre of the city. The location is excellent, everything is just by walking distance from the accomodation, bars, restaurants, the tourist attractions etc. The staff was very helpful at the reception too.

Unfortunately the room is not really "soundproof" , everything can be heard inside the room and outside of the room too.

The room was quite big, clean, confortable, and the staff very nice. The shared bathroom was very clean as well.

The window of the room was on a small interior courtyard, with beatles climbing on the wall. Beatles also downstairs at the entrance of the building (the hotel is at 2nd floor), and when I told that to the staff they looked at me like if it was a normal thing... But then of course they came to remove them.

One of the bost cuchions and pillows we ever had. They were really confortable. The location is really good!

The down door was really hard to open, and we always had to ring the bell to enter the building. One of the employes was a bit rude at the start, but then turned out to be kind.

Location was good, very central for exploring the central part and neighborhoods of Madrid. Room was spacious for two people and clean. On the floor are 3 bathrooms for 6 rooms and all of them have been clean.

It was possible to hear the noise from the hall.

Very clean property with comfortable and nice sized rooms and shared bathrooms. Hosts were super welcoming and helpful with late check ins and holding baggage after check out. Would highly recommend for the price point and location in the centre of Madrid!

I was a bit worried about a few bad comments on Google reviews but the amazing cleanliness, facilities and stunning location blew my mind. The staffs were so helpful. Even though the entrance was a bit old, that tricked us about what were getting into. The room was very clean and well-maintained, especially the bathroom. No words would be enough to complement the facility. Need to experience.l it.

location was perfect for city centre access, travelling alone paid the full rate for a double room but it was just right for me as a solo traveller

A glass or even a disposable plastic glass in the room would have been useful.

The location was perfect, right in the center, you can reach everything within walking distance, of course with public transport you will save some time.. Staff was okay, not much to say since everything was well organized. It was a shared bathroom but it remains completely clean and the room was clean as well.
