We invested in the Red Suite service that was offered and enjoyed the privileges that it allowed. Having access to tapas, food, and drinks when ever we wanted was a definite plus. It allowed us to enjoy Madrid without having to worry about timing of meals. We also prepaid for the breakfast offerings and found it to be exceptional. We also looked for a Hotel that provided an outdoor pool. Due to the extreme heat, the pool was the perfect way to cool off after our work day, and before we went out for the evening. Having a pool when I travel in the summer is a must, as it allows for such a refreshing way to cool off. The location was quiet but allowed easy access to all we needed. Definitely will return!

The beauty and elegance of the hotel are in every detail. The feeling of being treated as a duchess, really. The staff is amazing, making us feel at home and taking care of every detail. Excellent Spa and massage.

The bathroom. There is no counter to place all the bath, make-up, Duffy bag. Only a drawer that was pretty uncomfortable to use. Plenty of space in the bathroom to add a countertop. The hot water was never hot, only warm, and sometimes a current of cold water in the middle of the shower. if it wasn't for the bathroom annoying details this hotel would be a 10 for sure.

The room was excellent and spacious.

The check-in was very slow. We upgraded to the red level room with the benefit of access to the lounge, and it was like everyone could enter. I didn't feel the upgrade was worthy. The dinner menu for the main restaurant was limited, so we decided to have dinner out of the hotel.

It’s a beautiful hotel; grand but not opulently gaudy. Reception staff were so warm and welcoming. We were even offered a glass of champagne whilst we were checking in! I had booked a standard room but upon checking in was informed that we are getting a free upgrade to a premier room, what a lovely surprise! Our room on the ‘palace’ side was nicely decorated, very spacious. Bed and pillows were so soft and comfortable. I literally ‘sank’ into the bed each night. Bathroom was big too, with two wash basins and a bath tub. Location wise, it was quite central. There were some very nice restaurants nearby and a metro was also very close by. We had booked a tour through Viator and were happy to find out that the meeting point was like 200m from the hotel. All in all we had a lovely 3-night stay, wished we had stayed longer. Next time…

Limited breakfast offer for a five star hotel. Omelette, youghurt only on order with sincere instructions; only one order/one free plate per day. Breakfast order delivery time up to 40 minutes. If one wants to begin with the only on order youghurt dish thats a long wait and many minutes spent in total at breakfast. No vegetables at breakfast. Nothing green. Limited table seating, some where lounch sofas uncomfortable for eating breakfast.

Breakfast was great, staff were friendly and the hotel smelt amazing. Beds were so comfy and they upgraded us to a interconnecting room.

The gym was so tiny, there were so many rooms that were not used. Its a shame the gyms are aways an after thought. You couldn't swing a cat in there, if more than 4 people were too attend it would be crowded!! Also the service around the pool area wasn't great. Not once were we asked for a drink or food. We visited in August, they reserve cabañas that nobody purchases, however there were always guests without beds because of this and the cabanas sitting there empty. They should just be free with your stay then there would be enough room for everyone.
