The location

I got scammed!!! The receptionist said I need to pay 40rm for an upgrade room but when I paid and got into the room, it’s the same as my booking 🤦🏻‍♂️ she got 40 euro cash for free. I went to look for her but she’s not there and the other receptionist said “I’m not sure”. Both were girls, a skinny and a chubby one. The chubby one scammed me.

Location is more than perfect, especially for the first time visitors. The rooms are designed uniquely. There is enough space in the room for our staff.

We booked a room with city view and paid extra. But our view was just an other apartment which is so near; we had to close our curtains all the time.

Everting. But. The. Best of the room mate Macarena is the staff.

The close the pool so early Madrid is super hot. In summer time all the hotels in the area close the pool after 9 pm they close. 6:30 pm.

Great hotel - it looks very nice and modern. The staff is great and is always there to help. Our room had a Gran Via view and it was a lot quieter than we expected! The room is quite big which we appreciated. It's walking distance to restaurants and main attractions, and it was quite easy to get there from Atocha. Breakfast was wonderful! There's a great selection of cereals + milks for sweet breakfast, and eggs/meat/vegetables/bread for savory breakfast. If you get lucky with the table, you can also have a wonderful view! This was definitely the best hotel breakfast I've had so far.

The location of the hotel is super central which makes it walkable distance to almost everything in the central area (we even walked to Salamanca). The staff is very attentive and helpful. They've addressed all of our needs immediately and were very kind. Special thanks to the cleaning team (Jessica) for ensuring the highest standards for cleanliness and also for the amazing attention to detail. We were drinking only single type of tea which would be challenging to stop among the many options provided but she did notice and was making sure to provide it every day. Thank you for your services and would love to come back in the future!

I enjoyed the location and the interior design. The breakfast was delicious, making it a great way to start the day. The bed was very comfortable, although it was a bit short. I appreciated the view from the room and the small balcony. Additionally, I valued the fact that the street noise was not audible.

The room was a bit small, and there were no doors to the bathroom. While I appreciate the modern design, I would prefer a traditional bathroom. The hotel was undergoing renovations, and I could hear a chainsaw and hammering starting as early as 8 a.m. They could have delayed the work until later to allow guests to sleep in.

clean room, comfortable bed & had a relaxing sleep overall. concierge staff are friendly and helpful particularly the lady who assisted us during our late check-in. Great breakfast, would love to have more vegetarian options such as fresh salads and fruits. We love that there is an outdoor bar/ patio where we can have a view of part of Gran Via and the city & have a portable heating while having our drinks.

have to get to the top floor (level 9) to get to the concierge which is not a bother really but there are only 2 lifts and during our 3 nights stay, we have to wait several minutes for the lift. There was a day when there was only 1 lift that's working.

Location was superb! Could not get better location! Reception staff were great! Restaurant staff- not so friendly but food was good.

The design of the bathroom was a little off. With the glass doors to both the toilet and the shower banging into each other- it was a bit annoying. Plus the fact the lighting is not good in the bathroom PLUS the floor of the shower is super slippery when wet. I'd hate to think how some older guests would fare in there. It's be really dangerous for them! Would we stay here again?? Not sure- although the location is perfect- the bathroom leaves a lot to be desired. Also it was one of a chain of hotels. Ubers constantly took us to other Room-Mate hotels.

Great location and decent breakfast with nice decor.

It was under renovation which we were not aware of. They did their best and didn’t create any disturbances but still would be nice to know ahead of time. Staff didn’t clean our room while we were gone for about 7 hours (9:15am to 4pm), and the cleaning tag was hanging outside our room requesting cleaning. We came back around 4pm to rest and noticed our room was not cleaned. Breakfast was good but more or less the same for 4 days straight. Would be great if they could change it up a bit.

Central location, easy walking distance to all the main sights of the city. Very friendly staff at reception and in the restaurant. The view from our room was beautiful. Breakfast had a nice selection and a terrace to eat on. The hotel has a rooftop terrace with panoramic views of the city and a small pool where you can relax. In the evening, the roof terrace turns into a trendy bar. Good soundproofing and natural sun light in the room.

the hotel has 2 elevators for which you sometimes have to wait a bit. the room is divided into a sleeping area and a bathroom without a clear separation. this should be taken into account when using the toilets ... I do not recommend this for new couples.
