Unbelievably close to the airport yet quiet and peaceful. Despite being an older building, the room was spacious and the bathroom was great, it has a bath/shower and a bidet. The hot water was quick and with good pressure. Less than one block away was a nice plaza for food and drinks and the metro station to go to Madrid was within a 10 minutes walk, going through a quiet little town with all the necessities (pharmacy, supermarket, few restaurants)

They mostly offer the rooms with 2 individual beds, and even if you request the full size bed they can’t guarantee availability when you arrive. Additionally being an older building the rooms smell like cigarettes even when smoking is not allowed, mostly because of the many years when smoking was allowed and the smell stuck

Great location and value for the airport and an early morning flight. Very nice interior lobby and a lift. Helpful staff. Bed was comfortable. Great restaurants, turn a left when you leave the building and another left at the plaza.

room had not been updated, threadbare areas in carpet, dirty marks on wallpaper. I asked if the hotel could order a taxi for the next morning as we had to be at the airport by 5 am. It was not the usual taxis that you see all over Madrid and was double the price, so beware and make your own arrangements if needed.

The location was good, close to the airport with a bus stop near by. You can even walk (if necessary) to/from T3 with hand luggage only. There is a Dia supermarket and a number of cafes a couple of minutes away. The room was enormous by UK standards and very clean. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Given that there was no breakfast provided, having some coffee/tea making facilities in the room would have been good. The blackout curtains did not cover the whole window, not a problem in December, but could be in spring/summer. The furniture is a bit dated, but this is reflected in the price.

The check-in clerk was extremely helpful. The hotel overall is nice, in a quiet neighborhood, with several dinning establishments in walking distance, and several shops, including a very large grocery store.

The A/C is kinda of loud, there are very few amenities (no iron, but I didn't ask if I could borrow one) no coffee maker in the room, and I think the "Bar/Restaurant has been closed for a while. The biggest revelation was that the neighborhood closes in the afternoon ( not sure what time, it's a Spanish thing) and may or may not open later. The nearby restaurants seem to be closed from 1800-2000, so plan accordingly. On that note, the drinking part of those establishments remained open.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was able to leave my luggage after check out and explore the town. The room was clean, and the bathroom, well stocked. It is 10 mins walk from the metro which you can use to get to the airport in like 10 mins, very handy. I took the metro also into the center of Madrid which takes about 40 mins to an hour.

My room on the third floor had only one small skylight for a window. The furniture was a bit worn. Stay was great though.

The hotel suited our purpose really well. We arrived into Madrid by train, and were meeting family at the airport early the next morning. The hotel was easy to get to, and to go to the airport, using the metro. The staff were really friendly. For me, I found the bed a bit hard, but my husband loved it :-) Close to a number of restaurants and bars. We would definitely choose to stay here again if we needed accommodation close to the airport.

It was great to be welcomed with a warm friendly smile (even though it was 2:00 am or so); we got a clean, comfortable and spacious room and the girl (working night shift) was very accommodating and helpful. [We saw a couple reviews complaining about a bad smell, but apparently the problem was already taken care of (and may have been just a one time thing), as we did look out for it and it did not smell anything bad (as of April 9th 2024).] We had a great experience!

If there would have been a shuttle, that would have worked out better for us, as we were 7 passengers with lots of luggage. Otherwise there were plenty of taxis available right outside the airport (in our case even 2 taxis didn't want to take us because we had 3 children who needed car seats...).

Hotel location is particularly good close to the airport is particularly convenient, from the airport exit taxi to the hotel less than 5 minutes, the room is particularly large, the front desk sister service is particularly good, forgot to bring the charger that day she also helped me find a plug to lend me.

There are more ashes on the bedside table, and then there are small black ants on the floor, and I think the pillow is a little too low.

Our stay at Hotel Don Luis was wonderful! It is an extremely reasonably priced hotel which is very close to Barajas Airport. It is within walking distance of a very nice, small plaza with little restaurants where a person can grab a bite to eat in the morning, afternoon, or evening. We took the bus number 101 at the bus stop, which is located in the town plaza, directly to the airport. It cost 1,50 euros a person and, in about 15 minutes, we arrived at terminal one. Sergio, who was working at the front desk when we arrived for check-in, was great!! He gave us a good recommendation for a restaurant, along with the lay of the land. Sergio informed us the front desk is staffed 24 hours. Our room was very basic, no frills, but it was super squeaky clean, as was the hotel. If you are looking for basic lodging, close to Barajas Airport, I highly recommend this place. If you want a fancy place with many amenities, you should look elsewhere.

I prefer a mattress that's a bit firmer, but, it wasn't bad.

Located at just one metro stop from both, the T1-T2-T3 or the T4 terminals from Barajas airport. Rooms are as shown in the pics and very clean. Staff are very welcoming and helpful with any question.

The location is in a street a little bit separated from the main streets of town, but safe. The temperature of the rooms is a little hot even fir fall/winter times, although you have the option of turning on the AC though
