As an Airport hotel for a one night stop, it is fine. The Airport pick up was easy to arrange and after a short wait the shuttle arrived and the lady driving was also the check in person so everything went smoothly. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and the Wifi was strong. There is an excellent "early opening" Breakfast cafe on the little square 5 mins walk away called La Capri , lovely service and nice food. I would have no problem booking again if I arrive in Madrid late evening.

There are no food options so make sure you pick up a sandwich at the airport. The shower cubicle is very small but you just "rotate slowly"

Shuttle back to the airport was very smooth; the van was full with 9 travelers. There is a park nearby with a fountain surrounded by several restaurants; I had a light dinner of pinchos at "Lizarran", and the one place open for breakfast serves fantastic churros with chocolate sauce for dipping. The room was clean, shower was tiny but good water pressure. No elevators, had to carry my bag up 2 flights of stairs. I was able to leave my bag at the front desk overnight if I didn't need it in my room. Quiet residential neighborhood on a Saturday night, I wasn't bothered by airplane noise even though it was close to the airport.

When I went to retrieve my bag in the morning, the desk attendant was slow to respond and a bit rude (she was also the shuttle driver; had I known that, I might not have worried about getting my bag in time)

I like the location of this hostel. It is close to the airport, but in a quiet neighborhood. There are some good restaurants around the area, and it was fun to walk around a different part of greater Madrid. The property is very clean. The bed was comfortable and linens were fine. Some have complained about having to walk up stairs, but not an issue for us. The ride to the airport at 3:30 am was great.

The rooms are small, but not a big issue for us. The only drawback is that the hotel is not well soundproofed. People stay here because it is so close to the airport and come in late and leave early. My husband is not a light sleeper and it wasn’t a big issue for him. I am more distracted by noise outside in the hallway.

Very clean, front desk guy very helpful, the shuttle driver at 630 in the morning was awesome. Have the shuttle was GREAT.

Tiny jail cell sized room for €77 euro was steep. But, I chose because of the free short ride shuttle and I knew the price going in. Walls are paper thin!! And if you are a large person, bot sure you would fit in the shower. People coming and going and dragging luggage and showering ALL night long, literally....which close to the airport, once a gain, I get it. Trying to decide if I want to stay there again at the end of my Camino or try somewhere else.🤷‍♀️

It is really close to the airport and they have a free service to fetch you and take you to the airport, which is amazing because it's a long distance to walk and taxis are very expensive. If you plan on visiting Madrid, it's not the greatest option because of the location, but if you need a place to sleep between flights then it's a great option! The room isn't big, but it has everything you could need for this type of staying.

The elevator was broken. It didn't affect us because we were staying on the first floor but it might be a problem for someone else.

I was a little hesitant booking here with some of the views I read; however, I was very pleased with my experience at the Hostal Viky. It lived up to its description. It was clean, quiet, well kept, easy to get to, and it was nice to have a new location to explore in Madrid. I stayed in a room with a single bed. It was tiny, but all that I needed for a one-night stay. I took a bus there that dropped me off with a 1-minute walk from Hostal Viky. It is situated within a couple of minutes walking to restaurants, bars, and markets. The bonus was the free shuttle. It was very comfortable and modern. I read reviews complaining about the staff, but I was very happy with the reception staff. Check-in was a little slower than other properties I've been to, but Ramon was very good to answer questions. I'm giving Hostal Viky a high score because it is as described. It is what's expected, but in my mind exceeded expectations. If you're looking for accommodation close to the airport with a shuttle service, I recommend Hostal Viky.

I have nothing negative to say about Hostal Viky, but a couple of comments that some travellers might like to know. First of all, there is no elevator. Be sure to be able to handle your luggage up relatively narrow stairs. I can speak only of my experience in a single room. The shower is modern, but small. I'm an average sized person and could just turn in the shower.

the airport shuttle was very efficient, but with a personal touch, Apologies for room photos, they are video stills Top floor is the second and the lack of lift is not an issue.

there were no signs anywhere to provide the wifi password so I assumed they did not have it, weird to guess that, I know, but I am used to seeing the password clearly stated in rooms and I did not see any routers. Had I needed the wifi to work I would have asked, they were friendly in that special curt Spanish way that's coated in sympathy and helpfulness.

First time in a hostel type environment. Place was clean, and neat. Although NO FRILLS, the bed was comfortable enough. Good shower /plenty of hot water. Warm and cozy. We've paid more and gotten less! Walking distance to town with everything we needed. No funky smells & quiet.

We could have used an elevator. We had to keep our bags locked downstairs and walk up. It was akin to having to pack for the night and carry it up two flights of stairs. If we were backpacking that would not have been an issue ten years ago We are older and walking up a few flights of stairs was an issue it would not have been ten years ago.

The place is really good for a stay between flights, as it is very close to the airport - and even better, pick-up from the airport was included. That was a great help late at night. Close to the airport, but there was no flight noise whatsoever. I have slept very well, though the bed was just a little bit shorter for my height - but not really a problem. The thing I liked most is Barajas is not simply "the area around the airport", but a place with its own character and soul - while I walked through to the Metro station to get into town, I could experience the quiet but very characteristic vibe of it.

There weren't any problems, really. Maybe could have liked to get a breakfast, but that was not an issue at all. The place is mainly for connecting air passengers, and does really well in providing opportunity for a good sleep.

Hostal Viky is a suitable option for a simple stay near the airport. Beds are comfortable, accommodating guests up to 6ft/185cm. A transfer service, daily housekeeping, and AC are included. The area offers a pharmacy, restaurants, a small 24hr. laundromat with a hot food vending machine, and a minimarket. No elevator, but reception offers suitcase storage. Barajas metro station (Line 8) is within walking distance, 500m away. The Barajas Park and the Jubilados Plaza are good sites to relax. Look for the stork nest at the top of a tree in the park.
