Really comfortable bed, you could smell the bedclothes were very clean and smelled good. I know madrid very well and this is a perfect location to explore the city and very quiet at night. 5 minutes walk down to the river too... The building is quite unique compared with others in madrid and the design is cool (antique/chic)

The coffee at breakfast was terrible, they could invest in a nice coffee machine, even a nespresso machine would be better. Breakfast in general very basic so I wouldn't reccomend staying here if you are booking hoping for a good Breakfast... otherwise it's all good.

Location is great. Close to centre but not noisy. Staff is friendly and kind. The room is clean and the shared space is comfy. Breakfast is simple but offered in a nice cozy vibe. The decoration of the room, shared space, breakfast room is very nice. There is a kind of exquisite and classic taste!

The toilet and shower room are not really a dedicated space. However, this is not what the owner can change. Hence, we notice that, despite such hardware difficulty, they have done everything they can to upgrade the other aspects such as the deco of shared space, cleanliness of the room, service, breakfast...etc.

I arrived around midnight to LaNave, and was a little apprehensive as I was told they would send me the code to the door and my room number at 9.00pm, whilst I was on the plane traveling to Madrid. I received the code and room number and was able to enter the building as there is nobody there after 9.00pm. It`s a great place. The location is very central - a 5 minute walk to the Palacio Real, a 7 minute walk to the Gran Via. Everything was great. A basic continental breakfast is served across from LaNave which is sufficient and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again

I was in room 19. The room itself is great. My only complaint is that as it is a glass room with blinds covering the glass walls, when people entered the building at night, the automatic lighting system in the main area made the room very light as the blinds do not cover the entire glass wall where the door is.

Location is close to the station Principe Pio with all the public transport you can wish for. Direct metro line from the station Chamartin where the long-distance trains stop. Really nice building and charming rooms. Small but good breakfast buffet, prepared with love. Overall, great value for money. I would come again!

My room had small windows to the main hall, so I needed a sleeping mask - light went on everytime somebody moved inside the building and it became bright inside my room... Luggage storage costs money. (I paid 2 Euro for 5 hours) At breakfast, I missed orange juice. (nothing else, though) A kettle to make some hot water in the evening for tea would have been great.

The room was very nice, but a little noisy at times with other people staying there, arriving back late. The room was spacious and clean with good wifi. The breakfast was just ok, nothing too exciting or brilliant, but enough to keep you going! The location was very good, a few minutes walk from Palacio Real and the city centre

It was not very clear where the breakfast room was, and there werent much staff about to assist. The breakfast room was across the alley from the main hotel and there was not a great selection, and again, not too many staff members.

This is a beautiful hotel and breakfast is cold buffet, but very tasty. The hosts were wonderfully welcoming and the hotel reflects a boho vibe (in a loft style building) with lovely colours and light. I stored my luggage there prior to my return flight and was able to use their facilities to change etc. The hotel is down a small (lit) alleyway and in a perfect place in Plaza Espagne.As a lone female traveller, I felt safe at all times. The metro system is fantastic and cheap. Despite my late arrival due to bus delay, the hosts communicated with me and arranged late checkin. A very unusual and lovely place to stay in an incredible city!

I liked the different bread and jam options they were delicious. The room where you have breakfast was lovely as well. The interior design of the hotel was seriously good, helped create a laidback vibe and there were plenty of places you could go and sit and relax outside of your room. It never got overly busy with other guests which was great. I was really impressed.

There were no healthy protein options, such as eggs at breakfast. I’m vegetarian so only option was the processed cheese slice. For meat eaters the option was ham which again comes with bad fats in there. Although I believe they are limited to what they can serve as they have a hostel license.

Very nicely decorated hostel, cozy and warm. Location was great, close enough to shops, restaurants and main thoroughfares but a bit hidden so you don't feel crowded by the mass of people that are our for summer vacation. Breakfast was simple and filling. The staff was helpful.

The toilet cubicle in the room I stayed at is a bit awkwardly sized and and might be uncomfortable for taller/bigger people. Sounds of talking or doors closing from the public areas carries in the building. Personally I am not bothered by noises but for those who are sensitive to noises particularly later in the evenings this could be an issue.

Great little twin room for one night. I shared it with a friend before we went to Sarria the next day to start the Camino. It was quiet in the hostel and we both slept like logs. The room does have a shower and toilet in it so there isn't a huge amount of privacy, however, we took turns leaving the room so each of us could get ready. It wasn't a problem. Breakfast was continental and abundant. Nice chill out area downstairs and the staff were pleasant. Close to shops and the Royal Palace. Easy access to the Metro too. Would stay again.

It's a nice setup, in a very quiet alley, so there is no risk of drunk people making noise on the streets. Also the location is great if you plan to visit the center of Madrid. The inner decor was pretty nice. I'd definitely return if I need to travel again alone to Madrid.

Breakfast was basic (no big deal for me, but it might be for other people), and the walls seem to be quite thin. I was lucky that I was having no noisy neighbors in the other rooms (I was myself very quiet as well), but you might not be so lucky. Not sure that they can do anything about it as they will need to rebuild all bedrooms to solve that. The bedroom was slightly dark on the bathroom area. Some extra lights there wouldn't kill anybody.
