After staying in smaller and high priced hotels in downtown Madrid, it was a pleasure to stay in this large, spatious, and modern international hotel. My room was king-size, vast, with a large bathroom divided into three compartments, well lit, with a bathtub and a separate stall with a shower ejecting good pressure jets at different heights. A nice swimming pool helped alleviate Madrid's high temperatures during my stay. Value for price was excellent.

There was nothing I did not like. However, I suggest improving the very slow service at their restaurant El Pelicano, even when few customers were there. Some people may not like that the hotel is not located in touristic downtown Madrid, but the nearby Metro can take you there in about 20 minutes. There are many restaurants and bars in the vicinity of the hotel.

breakfast are 9 out of 10, really good. check in, check out - very good 10 points.

just two things for improvement. 1. Room service. it is rating 3 aut of 10. I will put it back in restaurant. we have ordered with chicken and also with prawns. both are bad. please, please earse that from your menu. 2. We have ordered from the phone cream to coffee. it came after 3 calls (after 40 minutes). Funny thing was, that one day there were 2 creams, another day 4, another none, etc... Checking list probably does not work.

The staff was extremely attentive and kind during our five night stay in May. My husband accidentally bumped his head while entering the hotel through the revolving glass door and immediately received first aid from the bar employees. Mar Aldasoro deserves recognition for her outstanding VIP service throughout our entire stay! We thoroughly enjoyed the the delicious food in the restaurant, in the lounge, and in our room! Many thanks to all the great employees of the Meliá Castilla!!

We enjoyed all aspects of the property.

Very comfortable, really nice room. They treated my 7-year old son very nicely. Good pool, great option in Madrid during summer.

Breakfast was not as good as I expected, that is my only complaint. Pastries were good, but non-sweet options were a bit reduced and even not that well-cooked. For example, the "tortilla de patata" was pretty bad.

The breakfast was incredibly rich — it was the highlight of my mornings! The hotel is comfortable and well-equipped, with facilities like a swimming pool and gym. The location is quite convenient too, not too far from the exhibition center and the airport. The staff here are excellent — their service made the stay truly enjoyable.

The swimming pool area and the bar by the swimming pool. Needs to be improved. It is silly that you need to go ask the life guard to put in an order for drinks by the pool. Hours of sun hitting the pool area are very limited - should consider implementing a pool in the roof top.

Nice pool. Really helpful staff. Delicious sandwiches and cold drinks in the LEVEL. Clean room. Pleasent atmosphere. When I go to Madrid again, I will stay at Melia Castilla.

The corridors and stairways are a bit a challenge to navigate. There was only sun in the pool area after 12. The blue chairs in the room were a bit uncomfortable.

The location of the hotel was great to get to the Real Madrid stadium, which is why we booked it. The hotel has done a good job of staying renovated. Our stay was great outside of the two minor things related to noise. We'd recommend it for staying in this part of the city. There are a lot of things nearby.

The only complaint we had was the noise you could hear between rooms (we had a room that has a joining door) and the construction that was going on in the morning.

Extremely nice facilities and rooms were well equipped. Breakfast was lovely and staff was very nice. Close to a metro stop and Real Madrid stadium.

The pool hours were such that you could not swim in the morning or later in the evening. Open at times people typically sight see.

They are not good on handling the hotel payments because for me I have pick problems which they double charges me then with complain the fix but they charge me full amount when I inter and also they hold 1555€ as deposit while I pay full amount in the check in to hotel and until today they didn’t solve my problem
