The two reception staff, Patricia and Irena (?) were lovely, helpful and attentive. The gardeners and cleaners were very pleasant. The view was outstanding. The best! The location close to Lekeitio and the beach were all great.

The hotel itself was very sad. It's in serious need of a makeover. The quality of workmanship is very poor. The kitchen area in our accommodation hadn't been properly cleaned and there was a lack of such things as a cleaning cloth or tea towel. We had an alarm sound at 2am on the second night and no one came. Nothing happened. We didn't know what to do. When we mentioned it the next day, staff didn't even know it had sounded. They removed our smoke detector and didn't replace it. The price of the accommodation really isn't justified.

The views on three sides are breathtaking: across the wooded river valley, towards the lovely town and cathedral and out to sea with the island of St Nicolas. The immediate area is also attractive and fun to explore; quiet beaches, the charming Basque seaside town of Lekeitio and the walk up the valley. The old house has been beautifully and lovingly restored and our self-catering apartment was well-equipped.

I’ve been in cleaner places - nothing too repellent but needs a bit more attention to detail. We were also disappointed by the countryside further afield since where there were so few places to walk : private land or forestry plantations (ghastly block planting of eucalyptus!) and even by the coast the locals didn’t seem that welcoming to tourists.

Lekeito is a very relaxed location with a beautiful beach. The location of the hotel is fantastic, on top of a hill with a nice garden and several places to sit down overlooking the beach or the town across the river. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The mirador room was fantastic with a lot of light from the large windows and nice views of the sea and the town. Sleeping with an open window and with the sound of the waves rolling onto the beach was so relaxing! We liked the history of the property which added a certain value to our stay.

Amazing location, charming place, nice staff, great brwakfasr... If they now get the cleaning straight,it is an awesome hotel.

Unfortunately our room was not cleaned... Not even the sheets changed what we discovered only at 2300 before going to bed. Hair all over the bathroom... The sheets were then changed though...a bit of an awkward process so late at night This might have been an exception due to problems with the cleaning staff.

Everything - such a beautiful little villa, and full of character. Views from our room and the villa were stunning. Both the lady on reception and hosts were very welcoming, and kind enough to allow access to our room a little early (it was the middle of a heat wave and being able to change out of our bike gear was much appreciated) Happily recommend to others, and hope we can stay longer next time - thank you for hosting us 🙂

The building is beautiful and has a lot of history that is nicely taken care of. The view from the balcony and the bedroom is absolutely amazing! The receptionists were very nice and always responded quickly and helpfully. It’s close to the beaches and a short walk into the harbour with a lot of restaurants. All in all we had a very nice stay!

The beds were a little hard.

stunning view over the bay and sea. Nice lawn for breakfast. Access road steep and a bit scary and parking requires skill but it's all worth it. Very friendly relaxed staff. The veranda rooms were fine - good bathroom, clean etc. We didn't see inside the main house. In fact we have just booked to go back to this hotel! You need to be able bodied to walk to town.

Beautiful views and the house is very charming and with a lot of charisma. Location is perfect and just a very pleasant 10 minute walk to the village. Very friendly and helpfull staff. I highly recommend it and it's in my bucket list to comeback

Because the house isn't in the village and there are no coffee shops around, it would be nice if they could offer some amenities like tea or coffee. That could have maked the stay even more amazing

We were cycling around the Basque Country and stopped in Lekeitio for a night – this hotel was perfect for our stay! The staff were so friendly, and we were able to store our bikes easily at the hotel. It was just a 10-minute walk to a beautiful beach and about 15 minutes into the village. A lovely room, stunning views, and a great location – ideal for a stop on our trip!

The room we had booked was on the first floor with a mountain view and was lovely. it had an onsuite bathroom and a small sitting area with a view. very good cleaning service. reception staff very helpful

On arrival there was an error with our room, ?overbooking. They gave us a large ground floor apartment in the main building instead but it was too large, and lacked views. people had been allowed to bring dogs in and it was evident. it needed a good clean. This was rectified the following day when we moved to the correct room. i would not recommend the ground floor family apartment unless you love dogs.
