I stayed in a studio apartment that was truly luxurious. It had a small kitchenette with everything needed to prepare simple meals, and a minibar with complimentary drinks (beer, cola, water), which was restocked daily. The bed was super comfortable, and the room was spotless with daily cleaning service. The hotel design is beautiful, and the atmosphere offers plenty of privacy. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay. One small issue was the limited parking space — although I had a reservation, one day I couldn’t find a spot. The receptionist went above and beyond, offering her own garage space for the next day (!) and didn’t charge me for the missed day. I was absolutely delighted with my stay and will definitely return if I visit the Basque Country again. Big thanks to the reception team – you made my stay unforgettable!

Limited availability of parking spaces

I loved how spacious the room was and that terrace with a small table to chill. The bed was comfortable. It's also quiet locaton, no loud noise from the streets, that helps having a good rest.

I bought breakfast just once and it felt subpar to its price, selections were quite poor. I normally eat eggs and some vegetable fiber (cucumbers or tomatoes) for breakfast, and I don't eat tortilla de patata. So I had to resort to eating toasts with cheese. Considering that it cost 13 euros, I was literally forced to eat what I don't normally eat for breakfast. What could be improved is adding some fresh products, adding eggs in a different form (boiled or revuelto).

The hotel surprised me as it is listed at a 2-star hotel but in fact felt rather high end. There is an art theme across the rooms and common areas, which is very stylish. The personnel were really kind - at the reception and the breakfast. The breakfast is not super abundant but is sufficient and adequate. Anything more would have been a high risk of food waste. The location is excellent to go for a walk to the flysch and the geopark. Also close to the local pintxo bars/tavernas. Our room had a terrace with a view towards the sea, the lavish green hills and the flysch. I loved sitting there. A kettle with some tea in the room could have been a nice addition. But there was a fridge supplied with some water and beer, which was lovely for the sunny hours.

I am not sure if the ventilation in the bathroom was functioning

Hotel's arrival instructions were for drivers. It's worth knowing that if arriving by train it's a long walk down and up the hill, no bus or taxi to be found. Would be good if hotel gave warning to that and offered local taxi numbers to book. If walking, there's a street elevator to save most of the final climb (not always working), that too better be included in the information provided in advance.

Beautiful area, with views from room balcony. Very spacious room..like 3x what we experience in France. Walking distance to shopping, restaurants and awesome beaches. Excellent parking garage and breakfast buffet; seemed to be many German business men present at breakfast. Staff sent special instructions on how to drive to the hotel. Huge comfy bed!

Great location, very clean, and the food was fantastic—although that’s probably standard for Basque cuisine! The room was very bright, thanks to the high ceiling and the window that could be opened.

The water pressure in the shower was quite low, which made it difficult to clean up quickly. Unfortunately, it wasn’t fixed during our week-long stay, though the water was always warm enough.

It’s a simple and charming hotel with a fantastic location — just a short walk from the beautiful Itzurun beach and the historic town center. The staff are incredibly welcoming, and we truly loved our stay. It's the third year we repeat at this hotel.

Clean, comfortable, great staff, great views

€26.00 for breakfast for two days is overpriced. Especially when’s it’s just cold breakfast. I had yogurt, oats, fruits and coffee both days. Shame as it’s a beautiful hotel and I expected higher quality breakfast. But I higher recommend you stay just go out for breakfast.

We didn’t avail of breakfast but were very appreciative of the endless supply of coffee/ tea in room adjoining breakfast area . Also a lovely touch was the daily (limited) restock of cold beverages including water, soft drinks and beer in our hotel room fridge… very welcome on warm evenings.

Out of all the hotels I stayed in while visiting the Basque Country, this hotel was the best one! I would without a doubt come back and stay in the same room we booked. Everyone was friendly; they accommodated us with a parking spot last minute. It was clean and the room was much bigger than I anticipated. The view was fantastic and near a major beach and hiking trails. The other beach was about a 25-30 minute walk but it was perfectly fine. The breakfast was great and the accommodation was comfortable.

This property was perfection.
