This is a cute and functional guesthouse in the best possible location. We stayed in the twin room looking out onto the street and had a lovely little balcony from which we could see the oldest church in San Sebastián just opposite and all the street life coming and going. Yes, that means it’s a bit noisy! But it’s just perfect if you want to be part of San Sebastián - the famous cheesecake place La Viña is just opposite, the festival bands will parade the streets (check if there’s a festival when you visit and then throw yourself into it) and all the pintxos bars are right there. We had a wonderful time. All the bars close by 11.30 anyway. The art is funky and cool, the folks are friendly and helpful. If you want your sheets changing you can just put the sign on your door, otherwise they leave you be (we appreciated this as we were sleeping in). Check in was easy and the cleaners and reception staff (not always there) were friendly.

I saw people complaining about noise, but honestly, if you choose to stay facing into the street in the middle of the old town, I don’t know what you expect? We didn’t hear anything from other rooms. Obviously it would be lovely to have a private bathroom but we couldn’t afford a hotel with en-suite. The shared bathrooms were cleaned at least once a day (I think twice). I just want to counteract some of the negativity I saw in here, I thought they were perfectly fine.

Daily cleanings, especially in bathroom. Water available. Tea kettle in the room. Location was right next to all the amenities, restaurants, and tourist locations I wanted to visit.

Few pillows on the bed. Not much space to hang clothes or store luggage. It stormed one night and some rain came in the window and got my clean clothes wet and dirty so I couldn't wear them the next day.

Location is great! Easy access from the bus station and right in the heart of the old town, can literally see La Vina from the balcony for a world famous cheesecake!

Because the reception is self-service there is no luggage hold, but the staff txt us the info of where to buy luggage storage in other parts of town. There are only 2 shared bathrooms available, which can require patience during busy periods

I liked the safe and convenient location. I can tell they consistently put effort into cleaning the shared bathroom and bedrooms, similar to the typical hotel. The cleaner lady was also very sweet.

I wished I had more walking space in the bedroom. The walls were thin - I had a work call in the morning and someone was knocking on the walls (assuming they wanted me to keep it down).

The location was perfect, so close to all the restaurants. The facilities were basic but had all that we needed for a 3 night stay.

That our room had no view and the windows were hard to open. It felt quite claustrophobic in the room

Central location. Could keep bike in room. Nice shower and bathroom.

Check-in is OK once you realise you should be looking for communication on WhatsApp.

Comfortable and spacious bed, fluffy pillows, and darkening blinds made for restful sleep.

Thin walls and I had the bad luck of staying during renovations, which was forewarned.

For a shared bathroom facility it was excellent as a number of full bathrooms were available. Location was superb in very centre of old town. Funky designs.

The location was perfect and so was the room.

It's still very expensive for what is it though...
