I received a warm welcome from the staff at the reception. The location is excellent, just a minute from bars, a bakery, and shops, and a short 1-minute walk to the seafront. The old town is approximately an 8-10 minutes walk away. The room was cleaned daily, and the towels and bedding were refreshed as needed, demonstrating a high standard of housekeeping. The room itself was spacious and well-equipped with a kettle, small fridge, wardrobe, safer, hairdryer, air conditioner, and a plenty supply of toiletries. Additionally, the room was quiet. Excellent cost-benefit place, definitely I will book it again if I come back to San Sebastian.

Really excellent location, close to the beach and an easy short walk over the bridge to the Old Town. In a lovely old building that has been nicely refurbished but retains all its character, including a beautiful old elevator. Very clean and comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff at reception on arrival, and excellent air conditioning when it was very hot. It is on a lovely street with lots of nice, lively neighbourhood bars/restaurants/bakeries - but still very quiet in the room. A short walk from the main bus and train station too, so really convenient for connections to e.g. Bilbao. Would definitely stay here again.

Location was good...15 min from train station and 10 from OLD town. CLEAN and comfortable beds. Staff was very helpful.

I made my booking not knowing there are 8 stairs to get into elevator. I have bad knees and avoid stairs and dont think they are mentioned in the description. They tell you they have a special elwvator to help w these stairs but then they claim the key is complicated and they will help u w your lugage. AND THEY DID...But togerwise youbare in ur own each time u need to leave or enter the hotel...so if you have mobility problems...stay away...Otherwise, a nice hotel.

The hotel is in a great location, close to everything. It's only a 5min walk to the old town and only a 15min stroll from the train & bus stations. We didn't have any fixed plans for our visit to Donosita - San Sebastián - on arrival and through our stay Izaskun at reception provided recommendations and helped with a lot of local information. Would definitely recommend for anyone coming to Donostia - San Sebastián and would stay here again for future visits.

Definitely recommended. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Couldn't be much better hospitality-wise. The bed was comfy. Shower was hot. Close to a few local restaurants and bars which were good. Great location, just out of the hustle and bustle of the Old Town - so quiet at night. But easy to walk there in 5 mins. Close to the beach, too.

Nothing major, but if I were to nit-pick... A tiny bit expensive for a basic room perhaps. The balcony is not eally a functional space where you can sit with a glass of wine or coffee etc. Quite typical for Spainish city architecture, but still, thought it might be a bit better. Also the sea view is blocked by the huge conference centre on the other side of the road. Suggest they put proper soap dispenser in the shower, not use these tiny disposable bottles of shower gel.

The room was spotlessly clean. Beds very comfortable. Shower & bathroom perfectly adequate and again spotlessly clean. The reception service is excellent. We got really helpful guidance about San Sebastián from the lady on reception. The location is ideal. A short walk across the bridge to get to the Old Town. 15 min walk to the main bus station and the beautiful Zurriola beach 2 mins away. Highly recommended

There was nothing we disliked. We chose Pension Kursaal as a friend had recommended it. It is a straightforward, clean Pension in a great location

Pension Kursaal is right at the doorstep of the best neighborhood in San Sebastian. Right across the street from the convention center, great Pintxos establishments on the street and great cafes. The staff was friendly and beyond helpful when I needed to get a taxi, the staff kept me informed and helped me out. Every morning it was lovely to be greeted by them and they definitely are very sweet ladies! Give them all a raise! As a solo female traveller I highly recommend. I had a clean room, the size was pretty great, the beds were comfy. The room felt private, and the bathroom/shower was pretty nice!

You can hear a bit of the noise in the hallway, but it wasn't bad. If you are sensitive to hearing things this may bother you but I didn't really have a problem.

The location couldn't be better. Really friendly and helpful staff. Relatively big room and bathroom. Very clean. We really appreciated the AC, since the room got quite humid, especially with wet beach towels and swimming clothes hanging around all the time.

My main concern was the bed, which had a tempur-like mattress which isn't my thing. This comes down to personal taste though. Additionally, the only window had frosted glass and was facing a small inner yard, which made the room feel a bit dark and enclosed. This wasn't a big issue for us.

Fantastic location for easy walking access to both Gros and old town. The reception ladies are excellent 😀 Exterior room 3 had nice small balcony overlooking the side street, shutters kept out noise/light well.

Room servicing - no towel change in 3 nights despite complying with the notice in the bathroom. Kettle in room but no accompanying cups or milk/creamer available - did get mugs on request. Used glasses left on bedside table.

Location in the Gros area is fantastic to access all of San Seb. The rooms are a decent size but next time we would book a room with a balcony as the internal rooms are a bit dark and dull. Liere, the girl on the desk, is sensational. Really friendly and a huge help in finding places to eat/drink etc. We love the free baby muffins and coffee and great to have a kettle in the room.

As above… book a balcony room for more enjoyment. Our fault not the hotels.
