Location was excellent. Right in the middle of the town, but from the 4th floor, the [very tiny] balcony had a nice view of the beach, not far away. Santa Cruz is nice and quiet overnight, so was able to sleep with the sliding window open and rock off to the sound of the waves on the beach. Best night's sleep I've had in ages. All spotlessly clean and well-appointed. WiFi worked a treat. Breakfast was fabulous, fresh and plentiful. Would certainly use again and really quite sorry I only stayed one night.

Was a little surprised at the extra €50 deposit taken at check-in, but I can see why they do it. There is a stock of drinks and stuff in the fridge which are chargeable if you use them. I didn't and got a message from my Bank that the €50 had been refunded within a couple of hours of checking out.

One of the loveliest hotels! The location is excellent, the room was so cozy I didn’t want to leave, and staff were incredible. Both Dana and Sabrina, whom I had the pleasure of meeting, were very helpful, hospitable and knowledgeable. I asked a lot of questions about the island and the culture and was provided with a lot of interesting and useful information. Cannot praise both ladies enough! And cannot express well enough just how wonderful the atmosphere at the hotel is. This only choice of hotel in St. Cruz for me. Also, don’t forget to enjoy a great cocktail on the rooftop bar! It has the best view!

A stay at Banana Garden is a very pleasant experience. The hotel is in an excellent location in the main city of Santa Cruz, just 15 minutes from the airport. Nearby, along the main beach, there are free parking spots marked with white lines. Breakfasts are very tasty and fresh. The hotel's exceptional dried bananas are particularly noteworthy. The rooms are small but modern, featuring a comfortable bed and a coffee set. There is a small balcony with a beautiful view of the ocean and the sunrise. The staff is very friendly. I highly recommend the hotel ! If I return to La Palma, I will definitely choose this hotel again.

The hotel is really quirky, the room looked exactly like the pictures. It's small, but has all you need. The bed and pillows are comfy, the whole room and bathroom was super clean. The water pressure in the shower is amazing! The staff all speak perfect English, are super friendly and helpful. We had breakfast on the last day as we had to leave early for the airport, they've got a great selection of cereals, meats, cheese, fruit, croissant, juice and coffee. They also have alternative milks like oat which is great! The location is fantastic, it's in the pedestrian area which is really pretty with all the old buildings. It's close to restaurants and cafes, but not noisy at night which is good! The curtains are blackout so it's nice and dark to sleep. There's no parking onsite but we used the recommended parking from their website which is ideal, it's underground, secure and within walking distance. Can't fault anything and would definitely recommend a stay here!

The hotel is very centrally located and smells great from the moment you walk in. The staff is very welcoming, nice and helpful. The breakfast has delicious fresh baked goods. The standard rooms are comfortable and nicely done, if a bit small. The best part must be the rooftop terrace, which is alone reason to stay here.

There is no air conditioning and the room gets unbearably hot without leaving the door open. The problem is that being in the centre, there are various noises at night that constantly woke us up. It is a bit annoying that you have to ask for cheese, cold cuts etc. instead of just being able to take what you would like. If you have a car be prepared to walk a ways from your car to the hotel since there are no parking spots near the hotel.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Banana Garden. Rooms are very cozy, modern, they were cleaned daily and were equiped with everything we needed for our stay. The breakfast was also very tasty, excellent coffee, freshly baked croissants, what more could you ask for? :) The staff was great, especially Sabrina, who gave us great recommendations which helped us discover the island. The hotel is small, and everything there was high quality with attention to detail. We prolonged our stay by 2 days, because we just did not want to leave. The rooftop has panorama view of the beach, which was beautiful.

We simply loved Banana Garden for its location, the amazing staff and the cosy atmosphere. The hotel is located at -what we found- a great spot in the middle of Santa Cruz. It is close to the beach (we could see and hear the sea from our balcony), and close to bars and restaurants while not being noisy. The staff was welcoming and knowledgeable; sharing many insights and tips about the island. We generally felt very well taken care of. The hotel felt personal and comfortable due to its small scale, dedication to local products, well-prepared breakfasts, and overall kind and relaxing atmosphere. The rooftop bar with its views was a fun extra space to enjoy. Many thanks!

We liked everything about our stay. We extended our stay several times and stayed for seven nights in total.

We checked in early around 11.30 which was no problem, we were able to store our luggage at a secure room in the hotel reception. The check in was smooth,the guy was very pleasant and informative .The room No 42 was lovely with sea views and also a view of the mountains. The kitchen was well equipped with a mini bar system which is a nice touch if required. Courtesy tea,coffee,sweets and crisps were also a nice touch. The rooftop terrace has stunning views with very comfortable seating areas. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were so attentive and easy going.

Everything was perfect

The place looks recently renovated. The room was very spacious and clean. It is central in the city. Friendly staff and good breakfast. The vibes in general are nice and the terrasse at the top floor is highly recommended!

We stayed the night between Friday and Saturday and it was very loud outside (people partying/yelling, there was even an alarm that was trigged) so it was not possible to catch sleep before 2 am, but this is probably normal since it is very central. Parking is quite far away and you need to pay.

I booked the studio and I was sad that I would only be staying 1 night. It is a nice small hotel, but the room was very luxurious. The rooftop is a very nice place, with a great view. The crew was the friendliest I have met in a long time.

The 2 small lesser points are the small balcony and despite the large room there was no really comfortable chair or couch for relaxing and reading a book or watching a movie on my ipad.
