Despite being only 1 star, this hotel was far superior to the 3-star hotels I had stayed at in Spain during this trip. Only having 1 star is probably due to the reception closing at midnight and breakfast not being available. The reception recommended the Dona Carmen café a short distance away on foot for breakfast, and I found it to be very satisfactory. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The room had central heating. The bathroom was well equipped, and provided a toothbrush, and comb. The room was very quiet, and I heard no sound from the neighbouring room, which was occupied.

Nothing.

I loved this hotel from the moment I entered the lobby. I was efficiently greeted by the reception and took the elevator to my room, a light, bright spotlessly clean room with a comfortable bed and excellent hot water in the shower. A really nice feature is the roof terrace. The reception organized a taxi for me for an early morning departure and I left impressed and pleased by the whole experience of this hotel.

One thing I felt the lack of was anywhere to put things. A few shelves or a cabinet would have added greatly to the overall comfort of the room.

Central location- we could walk everywhere and also easily access bus and train station on foot - if reasonably fit. Spotlessly clean and lovely decor as pictured -staff and staff in reception always helped willingly with any queries. Comfortable room - serviced every day - clean towels on request or every 2 or 3 days anyway. Coffee machine with coffee for every day. Fridge in room and useful safe box.

Shower a little on the small side but always hot water available.

A very central hotel within easy walking distance to most of the major attractions and right in the heart of the old city. The bus station is only a 10 minute walk ( turn right out of hotel and at end of the lane turn right and walk straight on for less than 10mins) I stayed at this hotel 6 years ago but it has had a very pleasing make-over and the rooms and bathrooms have a very modern feel.. The rooms have aircon which very welcome as during 3 nights there the temperature reached highs of 41°C. The staff are very pleasant and helpful and I would highly recommend this hotel.

Very affordable accommodation that delivers a great service for the price. Good beds, very clean, a quiet yet central location and the Andalusian-Arab building has fantastic atmosphere. A very good restaurant just outside the hotel and in the near vicinity many bars offering a good breakfast.

Housekeeping sprays too much room perfume in the room.

Fantastic location at edge of old town, with most sights within walking distance. Although no food or drink at hotel, restaurant opposite was very good as were café bars within 50 metres. Hotel very clean

Lack of some facilities, such as a bar, and the fact that only one coffee pod provided for free, with a cost for additional ones. Rooms looked bigger on website pictures, and if staying more that a couple of days then only 6 coat hangers between 2 doesn't really cut it. bathroom could be better designed, total lack of shelf space for toiletries, even within shower cubicle.

This is a difficult review to write since this is the first time I have stayed in a 1-star hotel. So yes the expectations could not be so much high! For the price that I have paid (approx €130 a night), I expected much better, however this hotel was amongst the cheapest in Seville. Apart that the room was very, very small, I should say that: it was clean, my bedsheets were changed after the first night, the bathroom is modern and spacious and the bed is comfortable. The location is just super. So yes, I may be disappointed with the price since it is over rated, but I have to say that the location made up for it. And honestly, Seville can be really expensive when it comes to accomodation! The hotel's Moorish style makes it also charming.

We stayed here last year and it’s a lovely, comfortable hotel with real character and charm. We will stay again as we love everything Sevilla has to offer.

There were major renovation works to the building opposite and the road outside the hotel was being re-cobbled. Noisy and dusty from 8am-4pm. Luckily our three-night stay coincided with the weekend but the hotel should alert guests. Would be a real issue if you were staying at the front of the hotel on the ground floor!

It was located in the centre of old town Seville, easy walking distance to many attractions, shopping and food. It was also only about a 7 minute walk to the bus station which has connections to all parts of the country.

We are early risers so this was not a bother, but the street and building the hotel is located on was undergoing renovations. There was lots of banging, etc.going on but we were rarely in the room. When everything is completed, we would expect to pay more. The room was small but again, unless you intend to spend a lot of time in it, it wasn’t an issue.

I booked 2 nights in Seville in another hotel the day before, only realising on arrival i had only booked one night for Eur190. I had to quickly book another hotel and found Zaida Hotel for £36. Very cheap, so did not expect much at all. I was pleasantly suprised. Nice reception, friendly staff, big room, very clean, towels, TV, Soaps etc, quiet room, roof terrace seating area. It was so much better than the hotel I paid Eur190 for the night before. There is a nice restaurant opposite the hotel and you are right in the center of Seville. There are some road works outside, which should not take long to fix, but i didnt hear any noise.
