Amazing, amazing stay at Aurea Toledo! Fabulous location, helpful & friendly staff (Alba & Angel especially) and the hotel even organised the most beautiful gift bag for my boyfriend's birthday! Complimentary water & Freixenet prosecco in reception - LOVE IT! Room was absolutely beautiful & the hotel itself is a museum - so many historic things. My boyfriend who is a history teacher LOVED it! Special touches in bedroom of jar of nuts & chocolate were lovely. I've never stayed with this brand before (I didn't even realise it was a brand, just stumbled across it on Booking.com) but I will actively be seeking Aurea hotels for my city breaks in the future. Faultless!

Very nice restored old houses with modern facilities. Wonderful assorted breakfast. Modern bathroom fixtures and hot water runs fast in a very comfortable shower. Ultra wide comfortable bed. Lots of power sockets including USB B and C. Very good wifi. Very close to the cathedral. Very nice views from our room.

Bed side tables are a bit on the smallish size. There's no real desk but this time I did not need it. This is not something I did not like, but be warned that on Corpus Christi day, access from the Cathedral side is blocked most of the day because of the excellent location.

Everything about this hotel is outstanding. The location is superb, the staff extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Rocio was especially helpful. The room and bathroom were spotless and the beds comfortable. Tea and coffee service in room. The hotel was beautifully renovated from historic buildings to provide modern comfort. The views from the room were spectacular. Hands down the best hotel we stayed at in Spain.

Very minor issue in that the light switches were so advanced and modern that it was hard to know which switches were for which lights. Other than that, everything was spectacular.

This was a really nice property. Super clean. Very modern while mating a historical vibe to the overall hotel. our room was on the fifth floor and had a nice view out one of the windows. The other two windows did looked out to a wall, but those windows were full length floor to ceiling doors. Super Duper Close to the cathedral as well as the major plaza in front of it. Walkable to pretty much everything in the historic center. Very quiet location. Just had a really good vibe from start to finish.

Maybe would’ve liked a few more food options at the hotel itself. For example maybe allow room service to be brought down to the really nice lobby. We also arrived during the blackout on April 28. The staff was overall very nice and very helpful but on that day, it didn’t feel like they went out of their way to alleviate any of the stress that guess we’re feeling. For example, they could have given free spa access or had a few more snacks set out But I think they were super stressed out as we all were. So I don’t really hold it against them.

Very clean and generous overall. The breakfast was lovely, and the staff were particularly kind and attentive. A charming touch: they offer Prosecco all day long in the lobby. A small gesture that really lifts your mood!!

The closet is quite small and poorly organized, with no space to hang long gowns or dresses. We were attending a wedding and had to hang our outfits above the bed to keep them in shape. Also, the coffee machine is oddly placed inside the closet, which further limits the space. Additionally, we were charged twice; once before arrival and again upon check-in, which was a bit confusing.

Very beautiful hotel, right next to the cathedral. It's like a maze, and it was fun exploring it. The room was quiet and well appointed. The South American employees were very friendly (the Spanish, not so much). Loved the complimentary mazapán and sparkling wine.

The Spanish front desk employees were correct but not friendly. The worst thing about the hotel is the overpowering air freshener at the lobby. You can even smell outside it in the street as you approach. That stuff can't be good for you. Luckily the room was fragrance-free.

Premier experience. Medieval town with El Greco's greatest paintings. Hotel Aurea, gave us a good size, pristine room with an extraordinary view of the historic city of Toledo from two vintage points. Windows in a large room and a window in the bathroom looking out into the mountains of Toledo. The staff helped us cope with the unexpected blackout of the city, comforting us with champaign and other refreshments in the lobby. They were warm, thoughtful and joyful. They made sure we felt safe and cared for.

Nothing! All was superb.

This was an excellent choice! From the moment you walk in the door, the experience is exceptional. There was champagne and water in the reception area. The room was gorgeous and spacious, with a window and sitting area. It was a very short walk to the cathedral. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Our room rate included an amazing breakfast. Parking in a garage was a bit of a walk. Definitely would have been hard taking a suitcase. We just put what we needed for one night in our backpacks and it worked great.

The hotel was the nicest and most beautiful hotel we stayed in during our 21-day roadtrip of Spain. The location was just down the street from the Cathedral in a quiet neighborhood. The hotel was very convenient to all of the sites we wanted to visit and we walked everywhere. Although we did not eat breakfast at the hotel it looked very good.

The only minor thing I can say is it took us a bit to get the modern shower and room lighting system figured out but other than that it was perfect. The other two things (that are not related to the hotel) are to know where you are parking ahead of arrival as there are some VERY narrow streets in Toledo and the Santa Tome parking garage where we parked was very tight.

Rooms were beautiful. We had a lovely patio and could enjoy a morning coffee listening to the sounds of the city. The breakfast was also excellent. Staff was very helpful - went above and beyond, pointing us to a great late-night restaurant and retreiving a forgotten power adapter. And location was excellent, right by the Cathedral. It seemed that every destination I put into my map app said a 6 minute walk! Would definitely stay here again.
