The rooms were great and the location was perfect for visiting Toledo. The hotel is very cool with lots of suits of armour everywhere and a medieval lounge on the lower floor. The staff on reception were very helpful and always very courteous, even hunting around for extra bottles of water for us when all the shops were shut. It is good value for money and a very nice place to stay.

The breakfast is not brilliant, the cooked food was a little dried looking and the fruit selection was minimal and again a little tired looking. Unfortunately we also had a very grumpy lady seating us, who became quite rude, when we mistook the first table to mean the first table in the room when she actually she meant the first table at the other end of the room. There was no need for her to raise her voice.

We stayed here on our first night in Spain. Toledo was kind of a last minute add-on for us, but we figured it would be worth spending a little more on a nice room after an overnight flight. Hotel Sercotel Alfonso VI did not disappoint. The room was beautiful and so charming! We even had a beautiful view of the cathedral. We woke up well-rested, and on the way to breakfast found the dungeon banquet room. Make sure you look for it when you stay! The breakfast buffet was huge and had such a variety. Also be sure to try the fresh squeezed orange juice. My husband had 4 glasses to refuel his Vitamin C levels after the long flight. Upon checkout, we asked if they’d be able to watch our bags as we explored the city and they happily agreed. What a terrific experience for a spur of the moment choice!

The only con was that the internet wasn’t very good

We only stayed at Hotel Sercotel Alfonso for one night as a stop over, but wish we had stayed longer. The hotel was in a great location in the centre of Toledo and we were about to check in at 1am at the front desk when our flight landed (24 hour service was appreciated). The room itself was lovely, it was clean and had a great view from the balcony. The added treats in the bathroom were a lovely touch including: toothbrush set, comb, hair net etc. Our room was a good size and very modern/traditional with comfortable beds; there was a mini bar option and lots of space for luggage. In the morning, we were able to leave our bags at reception until late afternoon whilst we waited for our next transfer which was very helpful thank you. I would recommend staying at this hotel and would come back again.

The hotel location couldn’t have been better, and while it’s a more modern building, having a small balcony on a traditional narrow lane, with views of cathedral or church buildings at both ends was very nice. The breakfast was very good, with fresh-OJ machine and healthy options, set in a medieval style grand room. This nice breakfast greatly increased the value of the rate we paid, since it allowed us to eat well before being on excursions. The decor in the dining area and also in the large central second floor with knights and armor etc. is fun and fits Toledo well, though it’s a themed medieval recreation rather than actual antique. The rooms large had very nice bathroom and excellent temperature control. While we were just traveling as a small family, these larger facilities likely make the hotel a great choice for special events or business meetings as well. Staff everywhere were excellent. Don’t poke at windmills -this is an excellent choice for a short stay in Granada, with great facilities, comfort, room-choice, and value.

Only that the hall light to the bathroom would come on strongly whenever you open the door; good for safety maybe but it’s always all-dark or all light, and can wake a sleeping partner. I would ditch bathtubs in favor or set showers, since the safety of exit from tubs with swinging glass doors is doubtful.

The central location of the hotel to visit Toledo's touristic sites, on foot, as well as the closeness of the local buses/taxis. The polite and helpful staff on Reception and the nearby secure car parking facility. It was spotlessly clean throughout. The size of the bedroom was large, with 2x very comfoftable mattresses, pillows and quality linen. There was also an added bonus of a Coffee/ Tea tray. The room is decorated in a traditional manner, and is ready for a mini update, however, there was a sign in the lift, informing guests, that the Hotel is in the process of refurbishing the rooms/bathrooms. The buffet breakfast was exceptional and offered fresh natural orange juice, cava , various milks, breads, pastries, cold meats, cheeses, boiled eggs and smoked salmon. (Catering for allergies/gluten free, etc). There was also a choice of a Hot food buffet, consisting of eggs, bacon, grilled tomatoes, beans mushrooms, spanish omelette. It was beautifully presented and compliments to all the Hotel staff/ Management for a superb selection of foods, etc. It exceeded our expectations as it was excellent value for money. It had been our third hotel stay within six days - and out shone the other two hotels by far. We have already recommended it, to friends/family and will definitely reserve a future stay there.

There was 'Nothing to dislike'..

The breakfast buffet was over the top with many options to satisfy anyone's eating preferences. The room was clean and was cleaned daily. Bed was pretty comfortable and the room was quite big. The corridors were well-lit.

The walls were quite thin and I could hear both the traffic outside and other guests talking loud across the wall. The buttons to call the elevators were not at all user friendly. Took me a while to figure out how to push and where. There were birds nesting outside the windows. I'd imagine some type of mechanism to be used to avoid birds creating their nests there.

Amazing location adjacent to the Toledo alcazar. Public parking garage was next door. The hotel can give a coupon for 25% off the cost of parking. The family room allowed our family of 4 to stay together. We paid for breakfast and it was amongst the best continental breakfasts we have had in Europe. They have a machine that males fresh orange juice which was very popular for my family.

The hotel and rooms are a. It dated, but the hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, we were comfortable, and we could walk to all of Toledo's attractions within minutes.

Our family trip to ‘Sercotel Alfonso VI’ was an excellent choice. The hotel is right next to the iconic Alcazar and the balcony from our room had amazing views to the beautiful Cathedral. It is only 5 min. walking to the main square ‘Zocodover’ full of restaurants and shops nearby. You can’t miss the medieval decoration from one of its floors aka “El Castillo” within the hotel. Very clean, good attention to detail, friendly staff and best value for money. Congratulations to the whole team for a fantastic service! We will come back 😃

We had an amazing stay here. We booked a room with a view, and the view was the most memorable feature of the stay, as our balcony overlooked part of the old town and the Toledo cathedral, as well as the hills on river Tagus's opposite bank. The hotel interior is also decorated in historical style, including suits of armour! Multiple souvenir shops are close by, as well as stops for the round-the-city transport. The old city can be walked from end to end from the hotel. Breakfast was good as well. We also had picturesque views while walking from train station to the hotel.

We liked everything in the hotel. However, do take a taxi or public transport if you do not want to scale several flights of stairs with your suitcases on the way from train station to the hotel.

The location was perfect, almost in the center of the city. We could park our car in a spacious garage very close to the hotel (with hotel discount). The breakfast was very good, with a choice of warm dishes we did not get in other hotels in Spain.

There was some noise (even at night) and some disturbances due to renewal works in the hotel that unfortunately were ongoing during our stay. We would have liked to have a double bed, but only a two-bed room was available..
