Right from when we met Carlos at reception we knew our stay here would be a pleasant one. the staff could not have been more accommodating, despite it been very quiet due to the time of year. The hotel is perfectly situated in a quiet village between Torremolinos centre and Benalmedena Harbour. It’s 10mins gently walk to Montemar train station, and 20 mins walk in the other direction to Torremolinos station. The trains between Fuengirola-Malaga are every 20 mins and stop at both these stations. The private terrace at the top has beautiful views over the sea and the mountains. Our balcony also had an awning that could be retracted, so great for shade or for keeping some of the rain away! We asked to be able to keep our room a few hours when checking out due to some very wet weather outside, and were able to keep it until early afternoon without any further charge, a small gesture that meant so much! The hotel bar is reasonably priced, and there are a number of cafes and bars serving good food, plus a supermarket and a bakery within a few steps of reception.

If I was been picky, the door to main corridor didn’t keep out much noise, but this wasn’t an issue for us given how quiet it was when we stayed.

We booked the superior room with the terrace, which we were happy with. However, there was an issue with the terrace furniture. We were advised that the cushions for the outside furniture had been damaged in a recent storm, and replacements had not been received, making the terrace furniture unusable. We spoke to the receptionist about the matter, and she kindly sourced other cushions for us. Whilst these were not a brilliant solution, they did allow us to at least be able to use the terrace. We're thankful to the very helpful receptionist (sorry didn't get her name) for sorting the matter.

All of the staff fantastic as is central location between torremolinos and benalmadena centres ,comfy clean bedrooms with aircon in price,no towels left on sunbeds all day with no one on them and adults only pool towels and kettle available at reception ,location to montemar alto railway station which is 7 mins walk down hill , transfer straight from airport easy and cheap ,around 2 euros each ,do advise taxi back from round corner which cost 5 euro back up hill to station if you have 2 cases...would stay again without hesitation

roof terrace in need of new beds and revamp and hot tub not working in "spa hotel" ,same as it wasnt last time ,tips to make me give 10 next time bigger shower towels and fix hot tub also as we had superior room with large terrace I think those 2 rooms could have 2 sunbeds plus a settee and table instead of current arrangement of 2 chairs plus settee and 2 other chairs to make them worth the extra money for those 2 superior rooms

Being British I had asked for a kettle in my room to make my early morning tea, and it was there. In fact there were teapots in the breakfast room. [Spanish people just don’t drink tea]. The staff were wonderful all round. Some of the rooms have sea glimpses from their balconies, mind did, but there is a terrace on the 4th floor with full sea view, shower and loungers. On the ground floor is the outside pool, loungers and everything needed for your tan.

Spacious and well lit rooms. Bathroom was exactly what we wanted as it was a wet room and suited perfectly. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Cleaning staff were friendly and did a great job I would recommend Moon Dreams for a relaxing break and it's only a 5 minute walk to the beach!

The bathroom could do with one or two shelves for personal items. Restaurant serve only breakfast, which was a disappointment.. These are small issues and subjective . We were overall very happy with our stay.

Perfect location for evening stroll along beach promenade afd daytime shops. Easy walk into Benalmadena Port. Adults only hotel...calm, serene and the bar area, overlooking the pool good for chatti g to orher hotel guests over a coffee or glass of wine

Shame the outdoor jacuzzi, next to the pool, had been drained..(probably end of season) The weather amd temperature was still good during our stay 21 - 26 Oct. We were looking forward to using the jacuzzi .. On our last day, 26th Oct, the pool waterfall was turned on.. Weather still great for outdoor pool use.. Hotel had various great sundeck areas. Best on the hotel roof!! The breakfast buffet plentiful and varied. All the staff are helpful, professional and friendly. Overall a fabulous stay. Thank you

Good location close to the beach and good selection of restaurants. Good choice of food at breakfast.

The weather! Unfortunately it rained quite a bit and it limits what you can do. Nothing the hotel can do about that I know. The outdoor jacuzzi was not in use, might have used that if it was. We were offered and paid for an upgrade to room with balcony facing onto pool. Unfortunately there was a building site at that side also and renovations ongoing to neighbouring hotel also at that side

We loved our stay at the Moon Dreams. The only complaint was, we stayed on the ground floor and the noise of some out late revellers would disturb our sleep when they came back to the hotel. However, we spoke with the receptionist who changed us immediately to a much quieter room. I’m saving the highest praise for the staff, every single one I interacted with was very pleasant and accommodating.

Best of all is location - in the heart of the action and a stones throw from the beach. Quick and easy access from and to the airport via the inexpensive Refe railway line. Clean, modern hotel with helpful, smiley staff. This was our third visit to the property.

We missed not having a kettle for tea in our room. There was coffee but we are not really into coffee.
