Location is superb, close to everything. The staff is helpful and friendly. The room was clean and cleaning in general is on a good level. In general, if you need a central location - this hotel is one of the best options for the money.

The room is a bit old and needs some renovation. Not critical. Assuming that it is clean, looks ok. The breakfast is not on a level of 4* hotel. Coffee machine with capsules and not enough choices. E.g during two days it was no omelette and no sausages. No vegetables. I would expect at least these basic options and regular coffee machine from 4* hotel in this price range.

Hotel Alfonso is optimally located in the city center. Multiple restaurants and shops are within a few steps. The rooftop pool is small but ideal for the afternoon siesta. The breakfast was perfect with a small buffet. The room size was an average European room. The public parking garage is located within a 5-minute walk (pre-book for excellent prices). The drop off and streets to the hotel are adequate. The AC worked well on the hot August days. The office and breakfast staff were very accommodating. The hotel was well-maintained and clean. Overall, a great stay!

The carpets under the bedpost were quite worn and needed to be addressed for future guests. Not a big deal!

Really very friendly and helpful reception staff. Even providing us with multiple blankets delivered to our room by the solitary overnight receptionist. The staff could not be more helpful. Even the maintenance staff and chambermaids were super helpful and accommodating. We cannot thank the staff there enough. Reduced rates on the municipal parking was also a bit useful and having two cafes built into the hotel frontage was another convenience. Whilst we did not use the roof-top plunge pool, it did look very inviting. However, since Zaragoza is Spain's windy city; not sure how often the pool is graced with anyone's presence. We asked for tea/coffee making facilities and the daytme receptionist kindly arranged for a kettle and two cups to be provided. In our opinion, this hotel provides exceptional service to its clients.

Hot water to the bathroom. It turned out that to obtain hot water to the taps in the bath room is kind of a bit of a dark-art. The maintenance folk demonstrated how to do it and after turning on all of the hot taps for about three minutes, hot water arrived! Yaayyyy! :)

The upstairs pool though compact was a welcome place to collapse and enjoy some water immersion at the end of the day. However the facility would have been hugely enhanced with some on site bar service and the physical presence of a member of start to remind fellow guests to mind their noise pollution, so that the swimming pool could be appropriately enjoyed by all.

See above, gaggle of unaccompanied males making the upstairs swimming area something of a hostile teenage playground experience. Not sure what can be done about that apart from posting a designated confident member of staff there to assist the development of some tranquil space

Stylish hotel in center of city. Very comfortable and great breakfast .

I specifically booked this hotel for the swimming pool but it was closed during our stay. We were offered the use of a pool at another hotel but most inconvenient. Manager offered to move us to the other hotel, but would have been better if we’d been offered this at check in , not when we’d unpacked. However we were given complimentary breakfast which was lovely. Having said all that I would stay there again as it was perfect for us and manager was very helpful

The hotel is in a perfect location for sightseeing by day and the restaurants in the evening. Rooms are very comfortable, no view but we were only sleeping there so not a problem. Rooftop pool was very welcome after a day sightseeing, it's small but great for cooling down although not many loungers. Breakfast was good. Selection of cereals, bacon and eggs, continental selection and fruit with plenty tea, coffee and fruit juices. Very friendly and helpful reception staff.

Some complimentary bottled water in the rooms would have been appreciated.

Great location near to shops and restaurants. The tram runs along outside the hotel. Breakfast has good variety. Very nice spacious room, includes hairdryer, lots of plugs and mirrors . TV has only Spanish channels which is fine. Reception staff very helpful. Top tip, to raise and lower the blinds, look for the buttons on the wall which have an up or down arrow to control accordingly. Great comfy bed too.

No bar or room service, no tea or coffee facilities

Great location! Nice interior decoration. Peaceful. Good night sleep possible. Helpful personal.

I got, what I needed, the room with shower (floor standing). But what I did not like, that this kind of room was towards back of the hotel watching the wall of the building. It was dark and none view. The window was useless. There was no sofa or soft chair and it was smaller, was not equal to the pictures. They should have mentioned that and give me reduction from booking.com price.

Exceptional location, very clean and comfortable, Staff all excellent. Good aircon (vital in Zaragoza in summer). Location is so good it's worth mentioning twice.

There was no tea/coffee facilities in the room. There was no complimentary water. There was no iron in the room. No robe or slippers(in a four star)? There is no bar. The pool area is small and nearly always crowded. We were in town for a family wedding so were able to compare what different people got for relative prices. You will get better facilities i.e. bigger pool area and a bar in other hotels very close by for a very similar price.

The location was excellent; the room sizeable, comfortable and clean; breakfast was good (although the coffee machine was temperamental at times); and the reception staff were generally very helpful. Zaragoza is a lovely place to visit for 3-5 days and Hotel Alfonso makes an excellent base.

Check-in could have been better - with more information being offered up (eg. location of breakfast, option to borrow hotel towels for the pool, etc).
