Our hosts were charming.Close to shops and restaurants.Fabulous views. Our hosts welcomed us with roti style pancakes with bananas. The breakfast was very good .

The Sri Lankan ladies really looked after me with tasty breakfast, pots of tea and coffee. Just a short walk into Ella township. Highly recommended.

Amazing Ella Rock view from the room! Air condioned room. Great rich breakfast. Staff was super warm & friendly. Even made us 1 lunch as a courtesy at no extra cost. Good location - generally quiet outside the super busy town center, yet still within 5 minute walk from the town's main street.

Overpriced for the room size and facilities, but that's likely due to the generally inflated prices in Ella. Room had a slight moldy smell when we checked in, likely due to an unmaintained A/C unit. We've let them know and hope they will clean it and solve the problem.

This place is NOT a 1-star hotel, it’s more of a 4 star hotel with 5 star service. The caretaker ladies are the sweetest and are wonderful cooks! We spent 4 beautiful days here and had an amazing time. Clean and comfortable beds, hot water, good wifi. The owner is very talkative and well spoken, and the ladies are up at the crack of dawn to serve delicious pancakes and if you ask nicely, dinner and lunch as well. Just outside of town where it’s quieter, and compared to others, not that steep of a walk to town. Great views of Ella Rock. Must stay! Thanks again.

Location is perfect just a few minutes walk to Ella town. The staff were wonderful even carried our heavy bags for us up the steps. The owner took lots of time to speak with us and recommend things to do that you wouldn’t find online so we had some amazing experiences because of this. Tea & pancakes upon check in with a room upgrade which was so kind. We had a delicious Thai meal cooked for us, it was amazing! Such a homely feel whilst operating like a hotel. They can’t do enough for you. We had a great Tuk Tuk driver the hotel organised for us he took us to amazing places & took good photos for us too! The view is amazing. Breakfast overlooking the beauty was super nice.

Nothing it was great. Some might struggle with the steps but we found it not to be a problem at all.

When reviewing this hotel on Booking.com, I had seen a few sub-par comments about Ravana Heights. However, from the moment we checked in, the hotel staff were friendly, loving and really made us feel at home in Ella. As a boutique hotel, the hotel staff offered to cook us dinner even though we had breakfast only, took care of us and gave good recommendations when we were looking for places to go and the rooms were very clean and had a great modern look. The breakfast was made with a motherly love. The views were stunning from where we stayed and overall, we absolutely loved staying here and we would stay again.

Nothing really

RAVANA Heights is perfectly located a 2 min walk into the town of Ella. Our newly renovated family room was large with two big queen size beds that easily accommodated a family of four with teenagers. The bathroom was very big with a great sized shower. We had a very nice view of the mountains and it was great to see the clouds/mist come in every late afternoon from the balcony. The owner and staff were amazing and super helpful with everything, we used a recommended tour guide/tuk tuk driver who took us all over Ella. We really enjoyed our stay.

Everthing was amazing

The people i.e. 5 ladies who managed the hotel were warm, polite, friendly and welcoming. Always greeted us with a smile on thier face and even arranged for a cake for my wife's birthday. This was an extremely touching gesture. The hotel is at an ideal location where you can enjoy views of a mountain and it's close to the city centre hardly a 5 min walk. The rooms were very clean and tidy. Must stay if one is visiting Ella, it's a good value for money. Special thanks to Yvette for everything.

The place was very cosy, and the host immediately made us feel at home. They welcomed us with a tea and a pancake that was superb. The food in general was great, and Vasinti the house manager was extremely kind and mother-like; always asked us if we needed anything, and she even made us sandwiches when we left. The owner is a wonderful gentleman, funny and always has something to say. The property is at an excellent location, close to everything. The staff was kind and helpful, the rooms were clean, and the overall experience was great and I really recommend it.

There were quite a few mosquitos, but it's everywhere in Sri Lanka.

We had a wonderful stay at Ravana Heights. Nothing was too much trouble for Sendahi, Wasnttni and Sumana. The ladies helped us up the steps with our luggage and gave us fresh pancakes. In the evening Wasanthi and Sumana cooked us a delicious Thai meal. Sendahi was very good at explaining the area and suggesting things to do. We were very happy with our accommodation which had a fabulous view of the Ella Rock. We had a family room which was roomy and comfortable. Thank you all for your wonderful hospitality.
