-We were offered an upgrade to the King's Suite which was a wonderful gesture by the manager. -The room was huge and very well-ventilated and bright. The manager was attentive to all our requirements. -Being a vegetarian, I did not have a lot of options for breakfast or other meals, however, the chef Isuru and other kitchen staff went out of the way to make vegetarian meal options for me. -They arranged for a spa treatment upon request for us and the masseuse knew his work. I would like to conclude by saying that both the property and kitchen staff at Tavetti understand the ethics of the Hospitality industry well!

I can't think of anything as such..

it was the greatest stay, i wish i could stay here forever. the staff is exceptionally kind, they did our laundry in half a day and exceeded our expectations. the room is big and clean and everything smells amazing!

Location to the beach and interior at the property is amazing. Duty manager, Hirantha and luggage boy were super friendly and gave us a great service. They were flexible and supportive.

Waiting time for food at the cafe and quality of the food could be better.

Beautiful place, with large rooms and comfortable beds. Super nice bathroom and everything was very very clean. Housekeeping staff was super nice!! And the daily cleaning is very nice for longer stays.

The breakfast menu is not good and the restaurant in general is lacking options and quality. Also, the restaurant staff was very inexperienced and falls short of the image of the hotel. Special requests are not possible, the chef just knows the few dishes that are on the menu. They also failed to mention that the bar at the beach was closed. Paying upfront for the stay also seemed a bit weird to us, especially as we had to pay again for additional consumption at the end. Despite all the inconvenience with the kitchen we enjoyed the stay, mainly because of the facilities.

Beautiful hotel. Very clean and beautifully decorated. lovely room and super comfortable bed. The beach opposite is one of the nicest we have ever seen. Very very private.

Sadly, the food was a let down. Dinner was good, but my chicken curry had one drumstick only and that was very pink, bordering on red. I decided not to eat it. Breakfast was very bad unfortunately. My sausages were cold, like they had been refridgerated, and the potato wedges were uncooked. Staff are super friendly and enthusiastic (a little too enthusiastic on occasions). We would definitely go back however.

From the moment I arrived the staff did an amazing job, nothing was any trouble and always a smile.. add to this an amazing building and decor you have an amazing hotel. I made the mistake of booking a place in the fort for the social aspect that was more expensive and half as nice in every department, probably forgo the 3 nights in the new place and return to Taavetti, you won't regret booking i promise you.

Not specific to the hotel, mainly Sri Lanka, it's quiet and fragmented, although my other holiday suggestion was Thailand... so opposite ends of the spectrum.

The staff and the beautiful design of the hotel! The team were exceptional, nothing was too much trouble and they really looked after us. Thank you especially to Waruni, Nethmi and thank you to the rest of the team; Banuka, Roshan, Gayantha, Hasitha. We received an upgrade on arrival to a lovely sea view room and we ended up extending our stay by almost double the length of our original booking to 9 nights. We loved Galle Fort and Unawatuna and Taavetti was a short tuk tuk away from both.

Would love a small gym!

My family and I stayed at Taavetti villa in June 2023. Well, our stay was fabulous. We really enjoyed the pool in the property and the restaurant at the beach. The room very spacious with a nice big bathroom area with antique finishing A big thanks to : Vinod kumar, Shamika, Priyantha and not to forget the ever helpful Tharinda Lakmal. You are a star 💫. Thank you all for making our holiday a memorable one. I will highly recommend the property and will definitely come back.

The breakfast was ok. I like a buffet style.

I don’t like the fact that the restaurant is located across a busy street. Once you are in the restaurant, the view is spectacular.

My stay at Taavetti was nothing short of magical! Roshan and the Team made me feel incredibly welcome and taken care of: from the first moment I arrived they made sure I had everything I needed. They organised dinner even though the restaurant wasn’t open (and it was fantastic), got me breakfast at 6am, and even made me a sandwich as I arrived very late. I also got an amazing massage 2 nights in a row despite changing schedules. Hospitality pure. The Hotel is tastefully decorated, a calm oasis with beautiful details and a very comfy bed. I’d give this place an 11/10.
