I stayed the first night with my friends but they left for the airport so my last night was on my own before I too caught a plane. I felt really looked after as a solo traveller. The staff were all so friendly and really looked out for me, one of the ladies even woke up at 5am to make sure i was able to get a tuktuk to the airport okay. There are two really sweet dogs who stay in the compound, the food was really good (very large variety on the menu) and they gave us the nicest juice we had in our whole 3.5 weeks travelling Sri Lanka when we arrived and at breakfast. Lovely and relaxing by the pool and there’s a nice selection of loungers, swings and hammocks. There was some building work going on whilst we were there but the owner apologised for this and it wasn’t a big problem. It was very peaceful and the bedrooms were clean and comfy with good air con. They were very flexible with payment and accepted both card and cash or a combination. I only left the hotel to go down the road for the full moon celebrations so I can’t really comment on the location but i know it was only a 10/15 minute drive from negombo bus station where we arrived into. It’s also close to the airport which was perfect and what we needed!

The building work but that was minor

Nice small Hotel. Very clean rooms, equipped with quiet air conditioning and an equally quiet ceiling fan. Bathroom was also very clean with good water pressure and hot water. The minibar is very well stocked. Good breakfast, dinner was also very good. The owner Gerry and his staff even prepared a great fish platter for me upon request. The staff was always very helpful and friendly. E-Bicycles can be rented to explore the area. Playing billiards is also possible; there is a billiard table available. Beautiful courtyard garden with a pool for cooling off. Due to its proximity to the airport, it is the perfect accommodation to start or end your vacation. Although it was close to the airport, there was no aircraft noise at all. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back sometime. See ya Gerry!

I was so glad I planned to stay three nights here at Palms Villa before my flight out of the country. Most guests just use this as a quick stopover before or after a late-night flight. And they really miss out. If you stay through at least one day, you mostly have the place to yourself. I did not even leave for meals--the food prepared by Gerry (who happens to be a great chef) and his assistant is delicious and reasonably priced. Because the guesthouse is tucked away in a residential neighborhood, it is peaceful—perfect for relaxing. Sit by the lovely saline pool, enjoy a cool drink, and pretend you are a millionaire.

We only stayed one night as we were moving on to Galle the following day. The owner, Gerry was great. We had just arrived in Sri Lanka and he had arranged transport from the airport for us and a taxi to Galle the following day. The room was clean. It had a mini bar filled with beer, fruit juice, and water. We had a tv and WiFi.. The breakfast was very tasty and plentiful. We didn’t use the pool due to time constraints, but it looked lovely.

If we were staying more than one night, the location could be an issue as their is very little to do in the surrounding area unless you ordered a taxi or a Tuktuk.

Everything was great. Quite place with clean and spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Air condition and roof fan in the room. Very tasty home made food. Nice swimming pool to play with the kids. Very friendly and caring staff. Gerry was very helpful and happy to answer all the questions that we had about Sri Lanka and to give us some tips on things to do. Location close to the airport is very convenient for late arrivals or early departures. Negombo city is 10-15 minutes by tuktuk.

Nothing I did not like. It met the expectations.

Our flight was delayed (looks like the story of a lot of guests) so we booked this very last minute! They were able to accommodate with a speedy booking. Delicious dinner and some beers onsite. Good strong shower. Incredibly friendly staff. Played some pool and enjoyed all the Michael Jackson references and videos (you'll see when you arrive!). Organized our transport to the airport in the early hours for a reasonable price - with the airport close by. We were even able to pay by card for everything as we'd run out of cash. We only wish we were there longer to make full use of all the facilities - the owner has gone above and beyond to think of every little detail and comfort needed for the perfect stay, from refillable water bottles in your room and drinking water available, to a well-stocked minibar, hot tub, and much more. Thanks for having us!

The property is located just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of central Negombo. Very peaceful and quiet. Great facilities. Very comfortable and clean. The staff are amazingly attentive whilst at the same time respectful of your privacy. The food is excellent and great value for money. Highly recommended for either a short stay or longer. I only spent two nights here before my flight home as it is so ideally located for the airport, but wish I had had a couple more free days to have enjoyed it longer.

The place is a hidden gem - absoutely wonderful - lovely spacious room and bathroom immaculately and lovely pool area with sun loungers - even a hot tub - loved the Michael Jackson themed restaurant A the food was outstanding and well priced for the area - Jerry and Alex made us feel like long lost friends and George Jerrys brother too - was sad to find this on our last night or would have loved to stay longer -

Nothing could not fault it

Lovely pool with very comfortable loungers and beach towels. Large clean room and excellent shower temperature and pressure. Very quiet overnight. Great rice and curry. Location is good for the airport.

It’s a small niggle but they applied a 10% service charge to the room as well as the food which was a surprise. It was a small amount of money and we would have just preferred this to be included in the advertised price.

Perfectly located near the airport with a lovely pool in a peaceful lush garden. Delicious food to choose from an extensive menu. Host Jerry went the extra mile to make our short stay a great experience, including arranging airport transport which he woke up for at 130am - much appreciated. June was super helpful.
