A calm and tranquil retreat in the middle of the National Park . Warm welcome, professional and speedy check in. Exceptional service at reception with all requests and requirements met with a smile. Our room was clean, large and incredibly comfortable with a balcony overlooking the ocean. The pool here is worth spending a full day to unwind after an early Safari start to the day. Loved the swim up bar. The food was also exceptional with a huge choice both at breakfast and dinner - super high standard, great cocktails at the bar too! Overall a wonderful stay - we would come again

A few general maintenance items but I think they we’re working on them.

Big rooms, huge shower. Good rooms and clean. Good cocktail/drinks selection and good food a la carte. Friendly personnel in the bar. Very big pool with warm water, pool bar, many spaces to lay. The beach is close where you can walk, but no swimming allowed. Very close to the Yala block 1, about 10 minute drive. Lots of animals around, we saw elephant, monkeys, cows,lizards.

When we arrived the reception lady who was walking us to the room stopped in the middle of the way and asked if we can just walk ourselves as she is tired. Poor service for a 5 star. When we arrived in the room, it was full of mold on the wall next to the bed. This reception lady said that it is nothing and there is no mold. The smell was horrible of mold, and after demanding to speak to the manager they did change it to the normal room. There is literally nothing around, and if you want extra water - it’s 900 LKR per bottle. The transfer price back to Colombo if you are going, is about 250 USD, so be aware.

Excellent base for safari as it’s 15-20mins to the entrance, which means you can do morning or afternoon easily. Buffets usually avoided when we go on holiday but this one was good and freshly cooked seafood and meat on outside stations. Views from the bar, magnificent. Only concern was the decorative fish pools at the end block looked like the filtration was broken and was quite polluted. Please address as a matter of urgency. I chose this hotel for the convenience to safari location over the more boutique stays I chose elsewhere. I wasn’t expecting a lot and knew it would be a big sprawling international style hotel - it was all these things but the difference is - location is superb, views outstanding, staff very friendly & helpful and food far better than expected.

Staff was phenomenal throughout our entire stay. From the time we entered the property until the time we left everyone that engaged us went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and assist with any and all of our needs. Property was well kept up, the shower space was incredible, swimming pool had a group of monkeys in the trees that afternoon while we were swimming, which enhanced the entire surroundings. Can't miss the warm cashews with the chili and garlic served by the pool, drinks were all well prepared! Was just an overall 10/10 experience.

What an incredible hotel, our favourite for our entire stay in Sri Lanka. The hotel itself is stunning with views of the wilderness and the sea. The pool area is incredible, it's huge and surrounded by trees where you often get monkeys at certain times of the day (they keep themselves to themselves but great to watch), loved the pool bar and barmen too. The rooms are excellent, very spacious with a comfy bed and a pretty cool bathroom. Both restaurants are great - We loved the Sri Lankan. The hotel also arranged safari's for us which was easy to do and was an amazing experience.

We had a fantastic stay at Jetwing Yala! The location is unbeatable – right next to Yala National Park and close to a beautiful, quiet beach that almost felt private. The rooms were spacious and designed to fit right in with the natural surroundings, which made the whole place feel peaceful and relaxing. The safari organized by the hotel was a highlight; we were lucky enough to see elephants, leopards, and a variety of birds. The staff were friendly and attentive, always ready to help make our stay enjoyable. Jetwing Yala is a great choice for anyone who wants to be close to nature while enjoying comfort. We left feeling refreshed and would definitely recommend it!

N/A - everything was perfect

We arrived on a weekend and the hotel was buzzing hence even thou we requested earlier for connecting rooms and arrived after 2pm our rooms were not ready and we had to wait for 45mins in the lobby for two connecting rooms. Overall we enjoyed our stay after we finally got our rooms. The hotel was very close to Yala National Park so that was convenient to say the least. Breakfast was up to Jetwing standard. Pool was great as was the surprise birthday cake for our 6 year old.

Rooms were a little tired looking but some construction work is going on so I believe there will be new updated rooms in stages.

Grand Hotel with fantastic pool area and comfortable beds/rooms! Beautiful bathrooms with great, free toiletries. Gym was well equipped. Dinner and breakfast buffet was brilliant and had lots of options. Safari was $155 for a couple, including a few pastries for breakfast. Definitely take more water and it would have been better to have savoury options, as opposed to all sweet.

You can’t swim in the sea around October/November due to rough seas. We didn’t know when booking so this was a shame for us. Food and drinks were on the expensive side for Sri Lanka.

The hotel was stunning and the food was excellent. Our room was very spacious for a hotel room and the bed was super comfy. The staff were excellent and friendly, they helped us to organise a safari and transfer to our next hotel. The pool was one of the biggest hotel pools I have experienced and the swim up bar had great food and snack options.

The price was quite expensive but expected (and worth it) for the location and quality of food and service. The gym was basic for the space available.

Lots of variety at the breakfast buffet, including freshly cooked items. The a la carte menu is excellent.

There were some minor signs of wear and tear, like missing tiles in the pool but after the challenges of the last few years, that’s understandable
