We thoroughly enjoyed our few days at the lodge. The rooms were incredibly comfortable and very clean. Bathroom was lovely, solar heated showers which are naturally more refreshing after sunset. The pool was wonderful, the staff regularly cleared the leaves away. The surrounding areas are lovely, lots of plants and flowers. The staff were absolutely lovely, very attentive and accommodating. Nothing was too much of an ask. The food on site is incredible, the portions are very large. They have a set menu but were happy to accommodate other requests. We arranged our safaris through the lodge and these were the highlights of our trip (Full day Yala and half Udawalawe with Transit Home stop). They were perfectly organised with transport to and from the hotel in a clean jeep, a wonderful breakfast included both days, and a phenomenal Sri Lankan lunch for the full day. Many thanks to Ruwan (guide) and Assan (driver) for the safaris. They were both incredibly friendly. Assan was a careful driver on the rough terrain, and Ruwan was incredibly knowledgeable. We learned a lot about the animals and the parks, but also about Sri Lanka generally. Overall, we highly recommend this lodge as a beautiful base for safaris.
Nothing - all fantastic.

The staff are lovely. Couldn’t do more to help you during your stay and always super friendly! The rooms are fantastic. You have so much space and everything is perfectly clean. The bathroom is especially nice. We purchased packed breakfast for our safaris and dinners each night and found them to be great value for money and very convenient given the remote location. The pool area is very relaxing and a lovely spot to unwind after a busy day. We will be recommending to friends and would highly encourage people to book!
There was some confusion over our laundry. We were initially told it was free, with just transportation cost, however the bill came back and was very steep (Comparing to UK laundry prices). This may have been a misunderstanding on our side, but would recommend to just double check prices before doing any!

This lovely hotel is incredibly peaceful and relaxing. Built in a traditional style with loads of open spaces and only a short distance from the national park. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated with local art. The swimming pool is perfect for an afternoon dip after a safari and plenty of places to sit and relax around it. The restaurant area is lovely, we took cards down before dinner each night and had a few beers watching the sun set over the trees and grounds. Very friendly staff who can’t do enough for you. They also organised a tour to the national park for us which made it very easy. Very good guide and driver. Food is good although surprisingly western meals were better than Sri Lankan.
Wifi was a little bit patchy/slow but other than that nothing!

Lovely lodges -Did not eat breakfast here - however, dinner was OK. We prefer not like choosing night before for breakfast and when we arrived we had to order before going to dinner a little odd not sure why as not busy - note beers only offered so BYO if you like some. Not the end of the world for us but it would be nice to be able to order a glass of wine or G&T to enjoy with the room/terrace. The rooms are large and nice and the shower area and terrace/garden for the birds and just the location and the fact it was a quiet spot to stay for a few nights and the pool, pleasant staff. Staff were very nice.
Nothing.

Great lodge close to Yala National park. Quiet, clean, big rooms. We also liked the food in the restaurant. The staff is nice and helpful and the best for me is that they rescued some dogs and cats from the streets and were taking care of them until they could find someone to adopt them. We had 3 cute puppies running around the restaurant area and had a lot of joy playing with them.
I didn’t realize breakfast was not included in my reservation and I ended up paying 10$ pp/day for it when I settled the bill (total 40$). We had one breakfast to go on a Safari day and another one in the restaurant. Okay it was my mistake but I found it overpriced for we we’ve got and for Sri Lanka. Price for dinner was okay (12$) for the quality of the food we got.

The lodges are very tastfully designed, spacious and comfortable. Pretty bug-free which is great work as we know it is not easy to do in the wild. The whole hotel site is actually very beautiful and really part of nature. The staff is very friendly and really tried to accomodate in keeping the dogs away. The pool is clean and at good temperature and they were good in online communication and helped arrange a pick-up from our previous hotel and a safari. Safari itself wasn’t great, extremely busy (much better experience in Wilpattu) but ofcourse nothing to blame the hotel here. Their menu contains both eastern and western options and on a safari morning they packed our breakfast, which was great!
The staff did their best trying to keep them away, but… for people afraid of dogs (like me), you will definitely feel tense all the time as there are a lot of them (and cats) on hotel property. Allergy-wise it remained tricky until the end as even on the last day I got served the things i’m allergic to (and had been communicating about for 3 days). For a hotel with this price, I would expect a bit more carefulness. Wifi does not work, but we had an e-sim so for us it wasn’t really a problem. Honestly, if they get these things managed- this place has the potential to rise to a 9 very quickly!

Our stay at koragaha lodge was perfect. They organised several safaris for us and went above and beyond to make sure we had an unforgettable time with a brilliant guide and driver. The rooms and whole setting was beautiful and so well thought out. Praveen and his team offer an outstanding level of service which we haven’t encountered elsewhere at this level. My sister required gluten free meals and they made dishes especially for her dietary requirements with no hassle. Thank you for the most amazing couple of days!
The only downside is that the restaurant only offers three course set menus which are a little pricey if you aren’t a big eater.

Great location very close to Yala National Park. We went on on a fantastic safari organised through Koragaha with a local naturalist (Damian) who was incredibly knowledgeable and made the safari that much better. Koragaha is set In beautiful surroundings and puts you at the heart of nature. We could lay in the pool and watch birds and monitor lizards. The staff are attentive and very friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are their own separate bungalow so you have lots of space with your own private veranda. Beautifully decorated, very comfortable with the most amazing bathroom and bed. Would highly recommend Koragaha Lodge and wouldn’t hesitate to book again.
We loved it - but be prepared for the friendly cats and dogs at dinner! We’d also recommend having enough cash with you for your stay.

Koragaha Lodge in Yala Park was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, Hadley and his team made us feel incredibly welcome. The lodge itself was beautiful, with luxurious, clean rooms and stunning grounds full of life. One of the highlights was arriving to see a troop of monkeys feasting on mangoes right from the trees - a wonderful start to our stay. Wildlife was abundant, and we thoroughly enjoyed watching the various birds and animals while relaxing by the pool. We also booked a full-day safari through the hotel, which turned out to be perfect. The jeep and driver were excellent, and we opted to have a naturalist (Sami) join us - a choice we’d highly recommend. His expertise was invaluable, as he spotted animals we never would have seen on our own and shared fascinating insights throughout the day. We felt incredibly lucky to witness two leopards, including one on the hunt, which led to some amazing photos and videos. The culinary experience was another highlight, with the lodge’s chef providing delicious meals throughout our two-night stay. The only regret was not staying longer! Koragaha Lodge is truly a gem, combining luxury with an intimate connection to nature. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Yala.

A beautifully designed property, situated in a rural area with a lovely big well kept garden. Fantastic nature walks nearby and lots of fauna and Birds. The lodge in itself is very large with a big bathroom, nice hot water, also the spiced shower gel gives you a refreshing fragrant feeling. The bedroom with a large bed was a blessing , air-conditioned room and nice big sliding doors overlooking the seating area on the patio and garden. The GeneralManager Mr. Praveen is very attentive, accommodating, knowledgeable and a pleasant well spoken person, which made sure that all his guests felt totally comfortable. A 5 star director. A very cosy peaceful place .
The swimming pool wasn’t very clear, food was average could have been better but wasn’t bad. Would have appreciated some other different items on the menu, like large soups or large salads and specials of the day. Staff need to be more on the ball, most of the times they were just hanging around, our room was not cleaned in 4 days. We had to ask for our room to be swept. Felt as if they would do things only if they get tipped ! That’s not a 5 star attitude .. we always tip in the end if service would have been good.
