Perfect family getaway at Padmi Villa! We travelled to Weligama, Sri Lanka with our teenager in February 2025 and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The second floor was exclusively for our family, and the space was perfect. The location is fantastic, and the host family were invaluable in helping us discover the best local spots. They were incredibly responsive and always willing to help with any questions. The villa is well-equipped, and the kitchen made it easy to prepare our own meals. We were even treated to delicious traditional food on our last day! We highly recommend Padmi Villa to families looking for a comfortable and authentic stay

Great location, spacious room with AC and living area in addition to large balcony. Was perfect for my needs.

You book the whole second floor. You have a private entrance which is very nice. AC is strong. Beware this is a real house. The living room (and even the bedroom) is not fully isolated. Even if you keep all your doors shut mosquitos can come. But they do have a net and provide a repellent Note there are quite big gaps between the roof and walls in the kitchen/living room. Do not leave mangoes or any food unattended. Racoon or some other creature will steal it! :) Do not be that person

1. The major problem was that the host demanded payment in dollars and wanted only new dollar bills. I understand current (Jan 2022) situation but we booked the place long in advance and this is something which should have been communicated clearly and in advance so we could either find another place or find requested dollar bills. 2. The second problem however minor was a bit annoying. Google showed that this place is 1 block closer to the beach. This made it harder to find the place to begin with. Hosts can't control google but it would have been nice to communicate this. 3. [Minor] The fridge barely worked. Just check before buying a lot of ice cream :) 4. Note while this place is close to the beach it is 15-20 minute to surf part.
