The location simply can’t be argued with, as the view from the balcony is all sea. Given the rooms aren’t the most luxurious, but they’re very clean and for the price you pay per night, you can’t argue that this is a great option for anyone on a tighter budget. You can get a room with A/C, and you can also choose just a fan, the beds don’t look the most inviting but they’re actually very comfortable, there’s a communal fridge and kitchen area which comes in super handy and the staff are very attentive and polite. If you’re staying in Weligama on a budget, you’re not going to find better than this, given the location and facilities available at the price.

The room can get a little stuffy, and the flooring makes the whole room not super cosy, but given the proximity to the beach, and the likelihood of tracking in sand on your shoes, the choice of flooring makes sense.

We stayed for 2 nights and extended for one extra night due to excellent room and location close to Weligama beach. Staff really friendly and helpful and check-in and always available if needed. Big room with great air conditioning and a fan so slept great each night and a really comfortable bed with mosquito net. Great value for money compared to nearby places. Just a short walk in to the town with great and affordable food places nearby. Will definitely stay again

the location is good, 30 meters from the beach. the family that runs the place are absolutely great, they're nice and helpful. the rooms are clean with a very good ac and in every floor there are places to sit and hang out in the evenings.

there is no option for hot water in the shower. there is only one electric outlet in the room.

We stayed at Surasa for four nights and we really enjoyed it here. The rooms are big and comfortable, also you have hot water without any problems! The owner is very friendly and speaks well English. He organised a whale watching tour for us and recommended good restaurants. You have to walk 5-10 minutes to the surf spot but that was no problem because you can walk at the beach. Also there‘s a fridge and a kitchen for the guests. Nearby you have a great stand with good breakfast (there are 4 women in a big stand cooking home made dishes. It‘s at the big glass house, there‘s also a juice bar inside). We definitely recommend Surasa beach resort!

We Booked Surasa Beach Resort for one day to check before staying our last holidays in Weligama, It was a great time and The Owner is a really nice guy.Clean and tidy accommodation ,Lovely staff and amazing location . We had a time learning to surf and could rent motorbikes. Stay here if you are planning to go to Weligama.Hightly recommended.!! Tatiana & Masah

Near the beach, but you need to walk to surf schools Room was spacious and clean. You can use the kitchen. It’s very comfortable. I really enjoyed my staying there

Host and all staff are super friendly and calm. Once we flooded the room and spent 3 hours cleaning along with the host. It was so amazing and funny! Everybody is relaxed here and we met many nice people during our stay. Fish point is just in front of the hotel, surfing spot is near.

No hot water but we didn't need it at all.

Excellent host, good staff. Room was clean. Comfortable stay in excellent location. Close to beach and amenities and bus station. Overall happy. Recommend you eat at AVM cafe nearby, it is excellent.

No fridge in room and a small table in room would help a lot. Breakfast was offered at ten dollars but that was too expensive.

Spacious room with good aircon and ceiling fan. We loved the location, looking out over the beach and close to good restaurants.

As you can see on the map, the main beach road of Welligama passes between the hotel and the beach. it can be quite noisy but we thought worth it for the short walk to the beach and high street.

The host is super friendly and kind. He was helpful in any topic. He organized us scooters. The room was clean and comfortable. The location is great next to the beach. I would recommend to stay here. If I will return to SRI LANKA I will visit again. Thank you very much!
