Surasa Beach Resort - is our favourite place to stay in Weligama - the location is opposite Weligama Beach - provides close proximity to surfing, swimming, multiple restaurants and local shops. The rooms are spotless and each floor has the option to utilise shared cooking facilities, fridge and lounge area. The balconies are great to sit and relax watching day to day activities - day or night. The wifi is excellent and the stand out of our visit was proprietor Suranga and his extremely helpful family who ensure you have a memorable stay.

The staff was very friendly and we got additional towels for the beach and the room. You can have your room cleaned when needed, you just need to ask for it. We had a room facing the garden so it was very quiet and we didn't hear anything from the busy road. We loved the location just accross the beach with some nice shops close by as well as restaurants. We also could leave our luggage there as we left very late on our last day. We had to pay cach upon arrival for the whole stay, but it was no problem to pay a bit later as we first needed to get some cash from the atm.

The room was large with a little terrace. There were nice seating areas with views of the sea. The location opposite the beach is very convenient. Almost next door is a good , although pricey cafe, Plan B and almost oppposite is Fish Point, an excellent sea food restaurant. It is in easy reach of Mirisa and Pohena which are very pretty. It was very handy to have a fridge and kitchen for coffee and snacks. The family who ran the resort were very helpful and friendly.

A few more hooks in the bathroom and bedroom to hang things would be good. It was awkward not having hot water with a 10 month old baby but this was partly because the weather was colder than normal for January.

Perfect location. Super friendly staff, always asking if I needed anything. There is good A/C in the room. Good WiFi. Mosquito net around bed which is great. Communal kitchen area and fridge & freezer so you don’t have to eat out all the time. 4 pillows on the bed which made it extra comfortable.

The showers are just one temperature which was usually cold, not a huge issue but worth noting. Cash only payments at check in- again not a huge issue.

We booked three days on booking and really got used to it and decided to book for three more. There is a big comfortable bed, extra pillows and a mosquito net. There is an AC and a fan in the room, which makes such a big difference in this climate. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, with good recommendations and always ready to help. Extra towels and soaps were provided as well as an option to get the room cleaned during the stay. We stayed in a room far away from the road, and it had a small balcony with a sitting area and a place to dry laundry which was very helpful. Overall, a great value for money. There are places very close by to have a meal which was helpful as well.

There is a Muezzin nearby and we would sometimes wake up early because of the noise, but usually went back to sleep afterwards. So really shouldn’t be an issue for heavy sleepers.

Attention to detail with cleanliness ,always spot on Manager always never far for your every need Fabulous rooftop area for sunset /sunbathing where you can see for miles And watch the world go by below you Beautiful quiet beach opposite Right near town ,bus|train shops Cheap restaurants , very local vibe You can get fab Sri Lankan breakfast just steps away and also plan b ‘ nearby does a good menu We had a great time !

Located right in the heart of Weligama, this family operated guesthouse was a joy to stay in. Rooms are large, beachfront but also nice and quiet. The family are wonderful and very helpful if we needed anything. There is a nice central sitting area on each floor to meet with others and cooking and refrigerator as well if you need to make something yourself. We will definitely return

The staff was really friendly and very helpful. The room was clean, and they gave us fresh sheets and towels as well. There are two common areas where you can have your meals or play board games (there's a carrom board that's perfect for when you're travelling with a group!) There's no restaurant in the accommodation itself but you can use the kitchen to cook your meals (gas included), and there's a couple of fridges to store your ingredients and your booze! There's plenty of cutlery and plates and cups as well. The location was central, close to the railway station and just across the road from the beach. We had an extremely pleasant stay!

The room itself wasn't the most spacious but it was still very comfortable and although our room did not have a view of the sea, from the common hall areas, you had a lovely view of the sea.

Best accommodation we had on this trip! It was very clean, the room was big and the staff was friendly. There was even a little and also very clean kitchen we could use and nice seating areas. It is located directly at the beach

You could hear the road, but that is the price you have to pay in Weligama if you want to stay directly at the beach, so for us it wasn't really a problem

We rested at Surasa Beach Resort. I liked everything very much. The owner is Suranga, a very friendly and hospitable person. Thank you very much for your birthday greetings! Very good location of the hotel - there is a bus station and many places nearby. Clean and comfortable rooms.
