Amazing stay - 100% recommend. I booked twin room for 3 weeks, very comfortable bed, room had enough space for some yoga practice, table, mirror and coathangers also in the room. Everything was very clean, good shower - never ran out of water. There is a communal kitchen for use and also drinking water available from a filter which was a great bonus. They also have a bicycle available for rent and offer laundry service. Host and her family are lovely people - stay is close to weligama beach, but far enough away to be quiet and away from the bustle. I would definitely stay again! Thankyou ❤️❤️❤️

I definitely recommend The Classic as a solo female traveler. I felt extremely safe and comfortable. It’s also situated with easy access to Welligama, Midigama, Mirissa, and Ahangama which are all a short bus ride away for less than $1! The bus stops right off the main road The Classic. Pros: -great price -universal location -very quiet, safe neighborhood -less than 10 minute walk to the beach -fully equipped and spacious kitchen/dining area -dining area has full speed wifi -free filtered water -the family who runs it are very kind and accommodating to anything you need -nice hot showers -laundry service or bucket available to do your own -even with a shared bathroom, it was always clean and available -two fans and mosquito net made the room comfortable -bicycle for rent

Cons: -WiFi does not reach the rooms (I was in the ones across the street); they need to purchase a second router for the other building -upon arrival the room had a mildew smell due to the island humidity but the owner promptly purchased air fresheners -the rooms could use a small bedside lamp for night time

The Design, location, cleanliness, host, and value for money exceeded my expectations. The rooms are built with efficient use of small spaces. The hosts were very friendly and ensured we had a comfortable stay. I liked how the entire facility was designed, especially the room layout, small verandah, garden, and particularly the bamboo bush near the common bathroom area, which gives the place a pleasant coastal vibe. The common toilet was also well-designed, ensuring all guests could use it without any issues

I have a small suggestion to enhance the comfort of the rooms. It would be better to replace the front window side glasses with timber louvers, allowing for better ventilation when the windows are closed at night. Currently, the hot air remains trapped inside, and while the fan circulates air, it doesn't help reduce the heat effectively. Everything else was designed efficiently

Very good location, close to many restaurants and the beach. It is located not close to the main street so it was quite quiet. Comfortable bed and well working AC. Small kitchen in the room so i could prepare some breakfast.

The smell in the room was very bad. The felling was that this room was not used for months or so.. Owners said they will put some air refresher but didn’t see it.. the air conditioning was helping with this as well. The overall room was clean but for example fridge was so dirty and smelled bad that i didnt put there any food..

10 out of 10. Highlights: the owners and the property itself. We stayed in a twin room that looks like your own apartment. Clean sheets, towels, a fan and mosquito nets are provided and the shower/toilet is outside clean and with warm water. There are also some chairs outside of the room where you can chill. The location is nice, less than 10min walk from the center/bus station and in a quite area. Furthermore, in the common open area there are some tables, a fridge and some kitchen gadgets to cook for yourself if needed. The area is so welcoming to have some breakfast, chill or as I did, to do some laptop work (wifi works perfectly!) Couldn’t ask for more, specially the owners, they are so kind, welcoming and taking care of every detail and helping with everything we needed. We were planing to stay one night and ended up staying five! Highly recommended!

Everything is perfect i have nothing to say… except that you’ll never meet someone nicer than the owner Dileepa. She is so soft and will provide any thing you need. I booked 3 nights and i extended 3 more weeks ! It is well located, clean and close to the surf spots (5min walk to the beach) and Nice restaurants. You can access the kitchen, the fridge and the outdoor area. If you hesitate go book, then don’t. You’ll feel like home here.

The owners are amazing. They accepted to do the check-in in the middle of the night because I arrived with the night bus. They offered to cook for me one night (it was delicious). Also the location is super nice, at 5min from the beach, in a very quiet place, just behind a railroad along which you can walk.

The room was quite hot and not perfectly clean but it was more than acceptable for this price.

Very good location: 5 min to Weligama beach and surf spot, a lot of cafes around but located at quite street. The host Dilipha is very friendly and always helps when you ask. Even cooked for me food when I was sick. She is not good in English, so sometimes we use translator to communicate. But often it don’t needed I’m in love with the shower under the sky. Also kitchen area looking very nice. There you can cook or chill or even work. Everywhere is very clean. They do cleaning of common areas every morning

Wi-Fi at the other side from the main building isn’t too good (especially at evening time). But at kitchen all works. The cheapest room is small and with no ac, so it’s better to choose this variant if you not for “long term” stay here or it you will spend only nights at hotel

The location is great. The room is clean and there’s also a very nice kitchen, where you can cook and enjoy your meal:) Maybe it was a bit hot during the day, but there’s a fan, so it helps. This is a great value for money!
