Breakfast was delicious! We especially loved the outdoor seating for it. The room was very quaint and adorable, and the view was spectacular. The staff was very friendly with things like answering my questions about Systembolaget on the island, and also how there was a luggage room where we could keep our bags after checkout if we wanted to stay on the island a few more hours on our last day.

The rooms aren't that sound proof, as you can hear very clearly when people are in the hall, but that is understandable and was not a big bother at all :)

Everything was great - the room, the view, the breakfast. The staff was nice and helpful. After reading the reviews I was a bit worried about the window, but our room had 2 windows that we could open, and the room temperature was perfect.

There isn't much soundproofing, but it's a wooden building (I think) so that's not surprising. We only stayed 1 night and didn't have any noisy neighbors so it was quite alright.

Marstrand out of season is dead. We arrived around 4 and by the time we had checked in and settled in our rooms there were no restaurants left open on the island and we had to go back to the mainland to find something to eat in the supermarket. The caretaker at the hotel kindly said we could use the breakfast room to have "dinner". Overall he was very helpfull.

The bathrooms were a bit compact

It is a historic property, well maintained and fits the history of Marstrand Island. The rooms were comfortable, quiet and well decorated. The breakfast was generous. Staff was friendly and transported our bags to the ferry on the morning of our departure.

The property does not have an elevator. Was not an issue for us, but be aware if you can’t do stairs.

The room was spacious, airy and had a little porch to sit on. Bed was comfy.

The location of the hotel was a bit further than described and involved a long walk uphill on cobblestones with roller bags. It would've been nice if the hotel offered to pick up luggage at the ferry in their little motorized cart that we saw parked at the front door. Although the breakfast offerings were okay, it would have been nice to have something hot like scrambled eggs or waffles, etc. Also, the bathroom was tiny and the shower awkward and got water all over the bathroom.

Not very soundproof, noisy room neighbors who came home late made quite a lot of bluse.

Excellent breakfast, good location, comfy beds. Breakfast room and garden very pretty.

Bathroom was very small. Tv was very little and couldn’t find remote control. ( but didn’t come there for the teli, but could have been useful if weather was bad.

Great location in Marstrand. Nice breakfast

Just be aware that you cannot take your vehicle onto the island on Marstrand. We did not know before we were there and it gave some struggle with the luggage. We are on a motorcycle.

A wonderful little family owned hotel very close to the sea (and morning dip!) Good breakfast with the option to eat inside or in the garden - a lovely garden by the way to use around the clock.
