Our room on the 58th floor of Karlatornet (know locally as 'the zipper') had fantastic views, and even on an overcast day, we could see the river, the ocean and islands far away in the archipelago. The balcony was comfortable for sitting and largely protected from the weather. Our bed had a nice choice of pillows, and the bathroom, plenty of bench space for toiletry bags and clean clothes. There were thoughtful touches like toothbrushes and handcream. A generous number of items from the mini bar were also free. There was afternoon fika at Reception when we checked in (so nice), and breakfast had an excellent variety of hot and cold options. All staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful. We came from the city (Lilla Bommens Hamn) on the ferry to Lindholmspiren ferry terminal, and then walked around 600 metres to the hotel. It was a nice way to get there.

It was a bit unnerving to find the balcony door could not be locked. Given there was a another balcony room next door, even with the very good privacy screen, this felt like a security issue, both from the personal safety perspective of a female who would like to sleep soundly, as well as the potential for theft of property when the room is unoccupied. The previous guests had left a bottle with empty cigarette butts on the balcony. As non-smokers, this was a bit off-putting. The bathroom lacked tissues. However, even with these issues, this hotel is kind of amazing, and we would stay here again.

The hotel is located close to and at walking distance of the Science Park, on the North bank of the river which is opposite of downtown Gothenburg. The hotel is recent build attached to the iconic Klaratornet tower, a landmark visible from far. Very friendly staff from reception to other areas. The rooms are very clean and sufficiently spacious, like the bathroom, a good and comfortable bed with a pillow that doesn't collapse when to lay you head on it. The location suffers from construction works all around and the connection to downtown is limited during evening and night hours when the ferry runs reduced or no schedule. A taxi ride back is approx. 35€. Buffet breakfast with ample choice fo everyone.

The neighbourhood does not offer much distraction or entertainment and the connection to downtown has limitations. The bar at the ground floor closes rather early (not much later than 10PM) so hanging around is not really an option and there are not that many bars outside of the hotel.

Its a brand new hotel so still fresh. The room was good. But hotels are not just the concrete or the building. Hotel are done by people, by staff, service and experience.

A four star hotel with a Spa closed on Mondays and closed everyday in the morning? It sounds quite weird but it might have something to do with the low conjecture. The hotel was understaffed. The lady at the Bar/restaurant, Frida was working alone the whole Sunday evening/night. It is not acceptable, serving drink, food and cleaning at the same time. The area was dirty and all tables full of glasses and bottles. She could not do anything better than she did. Management want to save money but there is a limit when it comes to service.

The staff was extremely helpful and professional. We were in Gothenburg for a basketball tournament for our daughter but she was not feeling well the first day and at very short notice we contacted the hotel and an extra bed was put in our room so she could stay overnight with us. During our staying in the room though we heard a clicking noise that couldn’t let us sleep well, but the day after it was no problem to change room Thanks to everyone that made our stay nice. The breakfast buffet was top-notch !

Nothing, everything was great. Just one thing got stucked in my head - SPA asks hotel guests to change in the room to save capacities in changing rooms, but you havo no bathrobes in the room, so you have to change in the SPA anyway. Hotel is newly opened, so it still surounded by construction site, but once it will be one of the best hotels in Gotheborg

Best hotel for value I’ve ever stayed at. The mattress and bedding were the best I’ve ever experienced in a hotel staff were friendly and polite. The breakfast was incredible and had loads of options for every diet. Everything was fresh and healthy. The spa was amazing and really reasonably priced. The hotel room was equipped with everything you need for a spa retreat.

The breakfast was really good. The bathing supplies (shampoo and soap, etc) were of good quality and known brand.

The Spa was not available, due to a party/event that was held on the second day of my stay. The lobby and its café was so crowded and jammed on the time of the event that we had to find our way back to the room.

Very pleasant place, quiet surroundings, and well-insulated housing.

Honestly, I thought we could stay in the skyscraper where we could enjoy being at a high altitude, but unfortunately, we ended up in a building right next to it and were placed on the 3rd floor. I didn’t like it at all, but the facilities were very comfortable.

The highlight of my stay was definitely the breakfast – it was exceptional, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options. I highly recommend this hotel and would love to come back again!

The hotel was super clean and modern, the view was nice and the breakfast was amazing and delicious. The chef even cooked some rice for us as a special request.

On the room on our side there was smoke from the generators on the ground outside and at night it became very damp on the windows so it sort of obstructed the view
