I was here for almost 2 weeks and so the breakfast got a little boring as it is the same every day. But it is a large assortment so if people like to eat breads for breakfast, there’s a big selection. The location is excellent. Within walking distance of Parks and shops and the stadiums. I love this neighborhood.

Americans are used to having a small fridge and microwave and this hotel has neither. There is a nice tea, kettle and assortment of tea and coffee in the room however which is very nice..

Breakfast were healthy and were often refilled so that everyone gets theirs. The hotel was full of families staying with kids. Despite that, we didn't hear a lot of noise, and the facilities are kept clean and tidy. City center is walkable.

The spa and fitness center are small: it's only a single sauna room and a single hot tub for a 15-floor hotel. In the evening, the spa area is wet and unattended. The fitness machines are old and squeaky.

What I love most about this hotel is its location. It is beside the tram station, 2 grocery stores, a cinema, and good restaurants. Liseberg Theme Park and Gothia Towers are only a stop away. I also love the breakfast. It was repetitive, but the variety of food offered was fantastic!

The room size is small but as expected. I couldn't complain.

The hotel was easy to get to from the bus stop which the airport bus takes you to with a small supermarket very close by. The room I stayed in was small but perfectly formed with lovely soap and shower gel. It was really quiet and the bed was super comfortable. I had dinner alone and the staff were friendly and helpful and made me feel at ease. At breakfast there was lots of choice and the quality of the food on offer was high.

It is hard to be negative about the hotel as there wasn’t anything. Staff are friendly and helpful and it was a lovely place to stay for work.

Breakfast was delicious, great variety, so many options. Nice atmosphere. The hotel was central to everything, I was walking distance from. The themepark, Tram, supermarket. I loved the use of the sauna, it helped me with recovery in-between racing, as I was there to compete in the World Masters Athletics Championships.

When I arrived the bed sheet had a stain on it, but other then that the room was good.

They offer a fantastic breakfast selection, especially considering it’s a yearly event for the Gothia World Youth Cup. The rooms are quite basic, but I suppose that’s the norm in the area. The location is excellent, though.

The floor might need some renovation soon. I see a lot of scratches. Just a minor concern.

Stayed here last year when working at the Vin and Deli festival so it was great to come back knowing we would get a friendly welcome and very helpful staff. I could not work the new shower and the lovely lady came up from reception in a matter of minutes to show me. The rooms are very comfy and the hand wash smells divine. Great choice at breakfast and overall amazing value for money.

Spent a night at Scandic Opalen in a family room with four persons (2 kids) and a dog. The family room was large enough to accommodate us all, the facilities were to a good standard and well maintained, the breakfast was excellent, and the staff friendly. The parking is separate from the hotel and on the expensive side, the best value was to park at the municipal parking house Heden some 200 meters away. Overall, a very good experience and excellent value.

Located very close (walkable distance) to our main points of interest - Volvo world, Scandinavium museum and Liseberg park. The room was clean and cozy (not very big) and the staff were helpful and friendly. Next to the hotel there are restaurants and it is also a supermarket and the city centre is 15 min away (walking). The breakfast had a large variety of options.

Fantastic break, traveled as two adults and two children. The hotel was in a fantastic location for exploring, breakfast was included and lots of choice. Would recommend. The bunk beds were fab
