Great hotel, and the room was gorgeous. Clean and tidy. Nice staff who were all friendly and helpful. A special nod to Teodora who was so kind and professional. Excellent location in an area that feels safe, with easy public transportation access. I will definitely be back next time I visit Gothenburg. I was pleasantly surprised.

A kettle and a complimentary bottle of water in the room would be nice. A toaster in the breakfast room would be great. Breakfast until 11 AM during weekends would be appreciated. Complimentary touristic maps and discounts to bars and restaurants in the vicinity would also be a good business gesture. Happy hours could be great, with an extended hour of alchool serving ( in the room only) for people wanting a night cap after 1 AM without going out. The main bathroom at the reception should have a bottle of moisturiser.

The staff were very friendly, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good—simple but with a great selection and very fresh. You could tell they put a lot of care into it! I wouldn’t mind visiting just for the breakfast next time. I also appreciated that their shampoo and toiletries were from Hagabadet (a famous luxury spa in Gothenburg). Additionally, the towels were super soft! There was no fridge, coffee/tea, or room service, but considering the price, it’s understandable.

The hotel is located in a converted old apartment building, and unfortunately, the floors did not have good soundproofing. The guest above my room was walking loudly, which disturbed my sleep, and sometimes the road noise was quite loud. The room also felt a bit dusty, or perhaps the ventilation was poor. I couldn’t figure out how to connect my iPhone to the TV, and I had to wait quite a long time for hot water in the shower.

This is such a quirky little hotel. I absolutely loved the old fashioned nature of it, the preservation of the old building and the fact that doors had proper keys that you could had in a reception. Loved the temporary coffee cup that you could fill in. You could get tea, coffee, water and cakes at any time of day from near the reception. I loved this though a bit strange not having tea/coffee in the rooms as well. The staff were so lovely as well, It is very close to the conference centre which was ideal. The bed was single and comfortable enough though the mattress kept sliding off the bed. Some may have found it too small but it was fine for me. Great shower. Great breakfast selection.

Can't really fault this hotel in any way. It was pricey but normal for prices in Sweden in that location.

We stayed at Hotel Onyxen and booked 2 rooms to meet up with friends from europe. Everything about this hotel was fabulous. Interesting decor touches, comfortable quiet bedrooms, with plenty of space. The downstairs tea/coffee facilities and inside/outside sitting area was perfect for quiet hours or pre/after dinner drinks. The breakfast was an absolute standout - so much variety of food types on offer, always being refreshed throughout breakfast hours. the fresh ginger shots got us off to a good start each day! Staff were so friendly and helpful, helped us with recommendations for a day around the southern archipelago islands and prepared the best ever limoncello spritz in the evenings! Highly recommend this hotel for its warm ambiance, comfort, great location and excellent value accommodation.

Cozy and cute hotel right next to Liseberg, surrounded by nice restaurants. Very nice breakfast. Warm and friendly staff, always eager to help.

Our room was facing out on the street, which is usually great, but here - we had to keep the windows open (our room didn’t have AC) and the restaurant below our window kept blasting music right until 23:00. Also, being right next to a busy street, it was noisy all night. Basically, a disturbed sleep for the five nights we were there (with a toddler haha) Anyway, the next time we go, we’ll probably look for an AC room.

Very friendly upon arrival - helpful when dealing with questions - super comfortable bed - great bed linen which aided for a really good nights sleep -we appreciated all the extras like socks , robes , toiletries and coffee in the rooms - the choice at breakfast was amazing - all the staff we came into contact with were attentive to our every need - staff arranged a taxi to pick us up early in the morning - the special touch was the xmas chocolate upon departure - Thank you to the team that was on shift 😊

Helpful and friendly staff. Tasteful and sophisticated decor and ambience. Comfortable beds and large rooms. Excellent and high-quality toiletries provided. Good breakfast selection of fresh food. Iced water and tea and coffee supplies in foyer with excellent fresh baked goods. Close to a tram stop, so easy access to the excellent public transport system.

Oddly, the coffee, which was not to the high standard of the rest of the experience. Not a dislike, but an advisory for some visitors: The building is an older one (but excellently maintained and stylish), so the lift is one of those small 2 person ones with the manual door (a flying cupboard as we christened it) - not great if you're a bit claustrophobic!

Fantastic room in a hotel in a great location. The hotel is beautifully decorated, the room was classy and comfortable. Great shower and lovely toiletries. The breakfast was the best breakfast I've had at a hotel. Nice touches such as free coffee etc throughout the day. To cap it all off the staff were friendly and helpful in helping us plan our days out. A superb stay!

Nothing. Others have commented on the small lift. It is tight yes, but part of the charm. And taking the stairs did me no harm :)

There was a shelf in the room that I didn’t notice was crooked/wobbly until I put a drinking glass on it and it slid right off! Also weird to write one’s info down in a ledger that other guests checking in could see (privacy concern). Otherwise, lovely place, clean and great value!

Onyxen is a wonderful boutique hotel in Goteborg. Rooms are very cozy and the breakfast is great! Staff is very nice and helpful. Even if the size of the room is not that big (bathroom in particular), the design is amazing and everything is very practical. Hair and body products are very very good. Finally you always have water, coffee and tee for free!

Nothing! Just a suggestion: the hotel is pretty new and they could improve even more with some more service (e.g. rental bike).
