I arrived late in Göteborg and had a pleasant one night stay at Hotel Allén. After sleeping on an overnight train the night before, sleeping in a comfortable bed felt like heaven. Despite arriving late in the evening, I was greeted by a friendly and helpful employee in the reception. The room itself was simple yet comfortable and clean, which was exactly what I needed for the night. I especially liked how close the hotel was to the train station, it only took me around 15 min to walk there. Unfortunately I had to leave before the breakfast buffet opened, so I can't comment on whether it was good or not. You get your money's worth at this hotel, and I would consider staying here again if I come back to Göteberg in the future.

The elevator was a bit small and only went from the reception, not the entrance. There are around 10-20 steps from the entrance to the reception. Otherwise I didn't notice any other issues.

The staff was nice and kind. The location was nice and close to bus stop. The room was tidy and big. Since I was only staying for a night only, I did not use wifi that much and just slept. The bed and pillows were also comfortable. The breakfast was so lavish and good. A lot of variety to boost your mood even if you don't want to get up and carry on with your day.

The only thing I did not like was the room curtains. They were a little smaller than the windows since the nights are shorter. Sunlight came through the windows and I was up earlier than I wanted to.

First of all, the staff was extremely kind and attentive. We were welcomed and seen off very well. The breakfast was way above my expectations. It was very varied and the products were very fresh. The location of the hotel made it easy to reach every part of the city. Both rooms were comfortable. The room size was very good. We were very pleased with the room cleaning. Our room was cleaned regularly every day. The bathroom was very hygienic. I can say that the beds were the most comfortable among the hotels I have ever stayed in. We will choose this hotel again on our next trip. Thank you very much again.

There was nothing I didn't like.

We booked this hotel at the last minute coming on the ferry from Denmark and we couldn't have been more pleased. The hotel was in a great location. We had fun watching all the kids play soccer in the field across the street. We walked through the park that's across another street from the hotel to a nice area with shops and restaurants. We enjoyed that and felt entirely safe. Our room was a corner room with views on both sets of windows. Our beds were some of the comfiest we stayed in on our trip. The breakfast was yummy with a self-serve latte machine, breads, rolls, meats, cheeses, cereal, yogurt, etc. We only stayed one night as we were on our way to Stockholm, but we wished we'd have had another couple of days in Gothenborg. It's a lovely town.

We liked everything! Hotel has great location. Close to the city center. Everything you want to see is close by. Also all forms of transport are around the corner. Hotel is very modern and clean. Rooms are cosy. You'll feel like at home. There are a lot of options with breakfast. Food is fresh at any time you come eat. They also have waffles available in the afternoon, coffe and tea at all time. Staff is very kind and helpful. You can leave your baggage at the hotel after check out. I recommend 10/10.

Breakfast good also breakfast room open for tea and coffee all day and for snacks into evening . Hotel very good about storing luggage at early arrival and after checkout for rest of day.

Access to hotel up a step and along a corridor -not that welcoming

Breakfast. Snacks/Tea/Coffee throughout the day. Location was amazing, close to the Railway Station and beautiful parks.

The rooms were good for business travellers, travelling with light luggage. For international travellers on a longish trip like ours, with one check-in bag each, the rooms were cramped. It would be better if it is pointed out at the time of booking. We could have perhaps gone for bigger rooms, if we had known this earlier. Merely stating square meters, does not help in guaging the moving around space in the room.

Located right in the centre of town, 2 mins walk from the main avenue where it all happens! The room facilities were fantastic. Cosy double bed to help get over my travel fatigue. Comfortably warm throughout. Amazing breakfast!! Free make-it-yourself waffles everyday. Free endless supply of tea, coffee, fruit juices. I don't know whether the staff are happy or not to work here, but they are all super lovely and should be proud of the care they give to the environment and the guests. The perfect place to start my trek across Northern Europe. Takk!! 5*++

The location of the hotel is super nice and close to the city center. Also, the room was clean and everything there was some tho, all facilities work as expected.

Breakfast was too simple, just bacon, beans and scrambled eggs for the main dish. Also, even tho the location is good, there is a night club in front of the hotel, on the other side of the road. When it's summer, you can't sleep with windows closed - and it's hard to sleep with windows opened, due to loud music coming from the night club.

The staff were amazing . It was well situated for city centre

The photo that sold the hotel shows a double bed access both sides on check in our double was pushed against wall with no access apart from over the top of the adjacent person No coffee facilities in room 😔 When coffee left in reception no milk provided unless reception staff available..
