The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, going out of their way to assist with room availability, bag storage, and access to shower/changing area before check-in. The facilities are good (e.g. the gym/sauna area), the location very good. The room was absolutely fine - comfy bed, blackout curtains, ironing board/iron in each room.

My honest sense is that the hotel has not been designed/resourced to offer a high standard to the number of guests they try and fit into it. Breakfast, lift areas, lobby, queue for reception all become very crowded. Breakfast was of pretty poor quality (again, expected if trying to cater for that many people) and despite a constant team of hard working cleaners and staff it's clearly difficult to keep the areas as clean as desirable with that many guests. Shower water pressure not great.

The staff was exceptional; from the front desk for help and information to the restaurant staff to the breakfast room staff, all were fantastic. Property is in a great location on the Avenyen and walking distance to every place we went over our three full days there. Property and surrounding area were very clean and well kept in the breakfast buffet was fantastic.

Not that we didn’t like it but the rooms are a little small.

The room was realy nice and the breakfast had a good verity of food. The hotel bar and the restaurant looked realy nice too.

Our stay was lovely so and I don't think there was much I didn't like during our stay. Mabe one thing. The room got realy hot during the nights but it wasn't an option to put a cool air-conditioning on. That made sleeping through the whole night a little difficult.

Scandic Rubinen is a modern, sustainable hotel in a lovely location in the centre of Gothenburg. The rooms are comfortable, with a hair dryer, an ironing board with an iron, a kettle and many other helpful things already in the room. The breakfast is WONDERFUL, with so many cool Nordic options available every day: you might need a few days to try them all :) The hotel also has a sauna and a gym!

Since it is a sustainable hotel, there is no AC: I was there during a week when it got very warm very quickly, and I had to use a fan through the night to cool down the room.

The room was immaculate and very clean. I really appreciated the use of the card as a way to get electricity; we need more energy saving strategies in the world. The breakfast was SUPERB! Really, I haven't stopped raving about it to my family and friends back in the states. Truly, everyone needs to visit Sweden purely for the breakfast alone.

There was a slight mildew smell in the main lobby, but quickly dissipated once you reached the elevators. This really isn't an issue, as I would assume in rains there frequently, so it's bound to have a more wet smell anyways.

Great location in the middle of Avenyn. We came with the car and they had a garage in a building behind te hotel. Since hotel rooms.in Europe - espeically in the city - are usually much smaller than hotel rooms in the US, I looked at the hotel description ajd went with a slightly bigger room. It had a king size bed, desk and chair and a open wardrobe. The room was modern and clean. The hotel is modern and has a nice restqurqnt open to Avenyn, a small.lobby and a roof terrace/indoor bar area. I was there with my underage daughter, so couldnt try the roof terrace but it looked fun. Breakfast was great - 2 buffets with everythibg one could imagine for a Europran breakfast, eggs, bacon, rolls, bread, salad, cereal, etc.

On Fridqy night the music from the rooftop coukd be heqrd innthe room a level below. They shut it down at 10pm though, so it was ok.

The service provided by the front desk and the personnel at the breakfast was excellent as was the breakfast itself. The location is very good, down town is within walking distance and very close to tram stops and restaurants.

The room was very warm since there was no aircon and my room was facing the evening sun. Also the room was not really clean, the bathroom was ok but the room floor was not.

The hotel was great. We had a family room which gave us a bit of extra room which was nice. The bed was very comfy, shower powerful and breakfast plentiful. The rooftop bar was an added bonus!!! Only a short tram ride from the central train station.

The weather was warm and the room got very hot in the mornings, we struggled to get the air con to go cool enough.

The location near tram stops. Breakfast was good and had gluten-free choices. Breakfast was avaliable early. The staff was very acommodating and helpful.

No way to let any fresh air into the room. Floor had a few pieces of dust and paper on it.

I liked the room. It was very spacious for my 2 kids. Breakfast was really nice, liked the vegetarian options. Would have loved to have vegetarian meatballs too because the kötbullar looked really delicious. Overall it was a good relaxing experience for me and my children. Thank you

Only thing we felt a bit surprised was the lack of amneties in the bathroom. We didnot bring our own toothpaste so it was a bit surprising to see the hotel does not provide this. Also it would be nice to have more than 2 small bins in the room. Would have loved to have more vegetarian options in the breakfast menu.
