This is a lovely hotel - quiet, comfortable, friendly and cosy. Beds and pillows are comfy. The location is great, very close to the airport bus stop and close to tram stops. Earplugs are provided in rooms which is nice, but I hardly heard any street noise at all so didn't need them. The centre and all attractions are easily walkable in a few minutes. There are a number of excellent restaurants very close by, and a 7-eleven a few doors away. For anyone interested in parkrun, Skatås parkrun is 10 minutes away by taxi and is gorgeous. Breakfast was excellent. I loved the fact that sandwiches, snacks and drinks could be purchased from reception at any time. Also there is free tea and coffee near the lobby all day, with sweet treats available too. I would definitely stay at Hotel Lorensberg again should I return to Gothenburg.

A very minor issue but WiFi was sometimes a little unstable.

Very pleasant and functional hotel room which excellently serves it's purpose of accommodating various sorts of guests in this beautiful and second largest Swedish city. Room was small (as expected) but very inteligently composed, well-equiped and definitely was so relaxing. Two windows in my room, in one of upper floors, gave me beautiful view in two directions over the main street, which was very nice surprise. I was also impresed the way this quarter was so decent, very peaceful and elegant in a very old fashioned manner. Everything in acomodation was clean and bed was super comfortable. All of neighborhood is very quiet, even though it's quite large and very close to the city center. Breakfast was with enough options and plentiful. Alttough hotel is for every recommendation hotel staff is, at least that is my opinion as a frequent traveler who visited more than 40 countries wordwide probably the best resource of this hotel. Always very kind, with a sincere smile and ready to serve the guest. Definitely, all of this experience was excellent value for money.

We got two rooms as we were 4 people. Although I had already made a few requests and received a positive reply by message from the hotel, none of the requested things were fixed when we arrived; however, everyone on the front desk worked to fulfill all that we have required and swiftly and very kindly helped us get the right rooms, I appreciate very much the great service from the staff at this hotel. The rooms are so clean and quiet, although they have so many guests, you rarely hear noises from outside. They serve a superb breakfast and have plenty tables, including some in a really nice garden. They serve free coffee, tea and pastries all afternoons, which we found to be so incredibly nice, as after a day walking around you get to come and relax with a cup of tea. They also gave us access to a microwave and cutlery at night, which helped a lot to fix our own dinner in the hotel. We had fridges in the room, which was also very helpful. I think this hotel is a real fantastic choice in Gothenburg as the service is outstanding the facilities are comfortable and nice and the location is unbeatable.

This is a wonderful hotel full of character, kindness and generosity. The location is very central with all sights within walking distance or a short tram ride. The rooms are tranquil, spotless, spacious and simply furnished and the beds very cosy and comfortable. The breakfast was generous, fresh and tasty. You had the choice of sitting in a number of salons to eat it…one looking out onto the courtyard garden and sauna. The walls are full of lovely artworks and some are covered in fresco like paintings. The beautiful lamps, fresh flowers and quality furniture added to the comfort. The staff were amazing and what makes Lorensberg so special. They were all so friendly and helpful, (especially Marie, thank you so much) They stored our luggage on our last day and allowed us to continue to access the hotel facilities including restrooms, coffee, great cakes and a bottomless fruit bowl… all at no extra cost!

The staff were all very friendly & helpful. The key card system provided reassuringly secure access to my hotel room. My room was a small single room with no air con but with an electric fan and a window that opened and overlooked a central courtyard, it was quiet and peaceful. Wi-Fi access was good. Tea, coffee and chilled drinking water were provided in the downstairs lounge area. The hot and cold buffet breakfast was magnificent. Other reviewers have mentioned the bacon and eggs, I liked the yogurt and very tasty granola. Also, a new favourite for me, the Swedish Crispbread with real butter and various cheeses was glorious. There are shops, restaurants and bars nearby and the city centre is less than a mile away, a pleasant walk or a quick tram ride? Your choice. The Hotel Lorensberg was a wonderful place for me to stay for my first visit to Sweden.

Fantastic hotel. All staff was very helpful and friendly. We mainly dealt with Amanda who checked us in and she was fab. Breakfast was great with a good variety of hot and cold food. Lobby areas had really comfy sofas and armchairs and beautiful lamps while also offered free tea/coffee/hot chocolate all day with small cakes. Breakfast conservatory area lovely with also outdoors seating in the yard. Free drinking water, still and sparkling, to refill water bottles or take upstairs in jugs. The hotel offers free sauna and in the summer free bike hire. Location brilliant - 2 minutes from bus stop for airport bus. City centre 15-20 minutes walking, Art Museum only 5 minutes away.

Our 2nd extended stay here. Had such a good time in 2023. Lovely breakfast, comfy rooms thoughtful amenities, near 2 tram/bus stops, near concert hall and supermarts. Free coffee, tea, snacks in the lobby.i was very grateful this time especially to the staff, as one in our group fell down and injured her face. The staff helped us to find urgent medical services.

Not much except that there could be tissue paper in the room? Bed mattress was a bit out of shape on one side, but I guess that's due to wear

The hotel was close to parks, restaurants and bars and so it was easy to walk to places. I felt safe in the neighbourhood. The airport bus drops you off just round the corner. Free water, coffee and fruit are offered, and there are umbrellas to borrow when needed. The paintings on the corridors are lovely and I made a point to look at as many as I could. Room was clean and plenty of space for me.

Bed was a little soft but that's probably a personal preference.

Lorensberg does not look very appealing from the outside, but its inner qualities are great. My single room was very small (like in many budget hotels in Skandinavia), but very clean and comfortable. Great WIFI, and very good breakfast, with a lot of food variety. My colleagues all agreed: Very good choice of a hotel in Gothenburg! Location is good, with the airport bus stop just around the corner, and train station in walking distance (a bit of a walk, though).

The location of this hotel is superb and very reasonably price. The only reason I didn't rate the facilities 10/10 is there wasn't a bath, which i didn't personally need/ want but that's the only thing I think is needed to give it a 10/10. The shower was good, hot and good constant pressure. The bed was comfy and plenty of pillows, very clean. Breakfast was great. Fab addition of tea/ coffee facilities outside of the breakfast times. I would happily go and stay there again, and would recommend it to others.
