I was in Gothenburg twice so far, and stayed at this hotel both times. The hotel is not very big, but very cozy, also has nice public area with a complimentary coffee and pastries available all the time.Moreover, it is very well located - there are several tram lines nearby, Haga neighboirhood just a stone's throw away, also other attractions and both central station and ferry terminal just about 20 mins walk from the hotel. Breakfast has a huge variety of choice, just served only until 9:30 on weekday, so it may be a little bit more comfortable for leisure guests if it was served longer, for example, until 10 a.m. However, as I said, I stayed here more than once, and I would definitely consider this hotel as the first priority when I visit Gothenburg again.

First off, The location is excellent as there are shops, restaurants, bars, supermarket nearby and easily accesible by means of transportation as Bus and Tram. The city center is within walking distance. The personnel was polite, friendly and overall helpful and let me store my backpack after checkout during my sightseeing in Gothenburg. Breakfast was a plus and that was good.

The room.itself needs to be refurbished with those current dated furniture. Apart this thing, my stay was smooth and there's nothing to complain about..

The location of the hotel is perfect. It is located near Haga district, near to the waterfront, everything was in a walkable distance for us. We read reviews about the breakfast that it is limited but we found there a great tasty breakfast. we are totally satisfied with our experience there. the staff was friendly, and it was a cozy stay for us.

maybe the double room is a little bit small for two people, but it was okay we managed this.

Location is hard to beat, the staff have a can-do attitude, always willing to help which creates a really laid back friendly atmosphere in the hotel. I also liked the free tea and coffee as well as the waffle station. That's a huge plus and a really nice touch. The dining area and the upper seating area or outdoor courtyard were also good areas to work or sit. My room was a little dates but impeccably clean and I personally like the older feel to this hotel. It's an old building and it has kept its integrity… real keys to open the doors etc and worn stone steps, which I think adds to its charm. Overall if you are a seasoned traveller looking for a budget friendly option in town that's well located and easy, this is your place. If its a fresh modern sterile look that's your thing, I reckon its not for you. I would also like to add that both check out and check in were seamless, with no waiting around, or unnecessary hinder. It was an easy and comfortable stay from start to finish .

There was a little noise from the street which would probably bother me if I was staying longer. I would like to try a room at the back of the hotel next time. I won't book anywhere else now unless I have to, it ticked all the important boxes for me.

There are enough amenities to ensure a comfortable stay, and the location is gorgeous. The staff members are friendly and professional. Breakfast is included, and there are plenty of great options to satisfy every taste. We felt the breakfast was great. It is an excellent value. I would highly recommend Hotel Vasa for a stay in beautiful Goteborg.

There was nothing like that.

We originally reserved Vasa, there was a water leak situation on the day of our arrival and they very quickly organised transfer of our reservation to their sister hotel Arena. Quick nice communication, problem perfectly solved. Arena offered very tasty breakfast, good location, friendly ladies on a reception and unlimited supply of tea, coffee, juice and cookies. We enjoyed this experience.

Have stayed at Hotel Vasa before, and other than its really good location, the staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are tidy and clean, there is heaters in the room and heat in the floor in the bathroom, which is a big plus, in the wintertime. Good choice of channels on the tv, and nice beddings. Also an environmental concious hotel, is always a plus. The breakfast buffet is definitely also what brought us back, other than the hotel's "warmth" and location.

The very only thing, was that our ventilator in the shower didn't work well, so had to air out in the room, to get the steam out from the shower, but first found out on the morning we were leaving anyway. And the hairdryer in the bathroom were running very slow/low blow, so it could use an upgrade.

Location of the hotel is great, the staff was amazing! Tea and coffee are available all the time in the dining room, which is perfect after a cold evening stroll around the city. You also have cinnamon rolls, cookies and waffle batter to make your own waffles - whenever you like it! There is also a cute little sauna, which the staff turned on just for us. Breakfast was good, a lot of options.

The beds are really on the soft side, but that is just my opinion. The weird thing was, that the window in the room doesn't open at all. That made the air in the room a bit stale and dusty.

Great location, very good breakfast - including local produce, biscuits and coffee always available! Walking distance to all major tourist spots in the city. Friendly staff, very accommodating. We had a room on the second floor; it's good to have a lift option. The bed was comfy and the bathroom felt recently revamped.

The building is charming and the interior could benefit of a little more attention. The temperature in the room was high, despite setting the thermostat at 16 C. Despite booking a superior double room, that comes at 25 mp, we got a smaller one; which was a bit of a disappointment. wi-fi was spotty.

Very helpful and welcoming staff, good breakfast and really nice with a cup of coffee available during the day too. Perfect location close to the avenue and good solution to for the car parking. Very(very) good value for the money.

Undergoing a well needed reconstruction. Noisy form early in the morning and dirty hallways. But sure it’s gonna be worth it once done.
