Location could not be better: very close to the train station where you can get buses and trams to all other areas of the city, and also literally next to a shopping centre which has everything you might need. Staff were also fantastic and very helpful. Breakfast had a great selection.

The water pressure in the shower wasn't great - had to stay in for longer when washing my hair to get all the product out. Since I stayed for a long time, I requested my room to be cleaned half-way through my stay and they did not hoover the floor, which was disappointing. The room was very clean when I arrived, though. Sound isolation between rooms was also disappointing: my stay covered the new year period, and some guests were very loud getting back in, dragging furniture around at 4am, which kept me up.

Staff at front desk where really nice, breakfast was lovely, and the restaurant had lod of space even though there where many people (Easter holiday and kids soccer tournament). Location is the best - right in the middle of Gothenburg with easy access to everything!

I liked that you had to book pool in advance - there where only 15 slots per hour. But as we checked in late, all the slots were already taken for the first day. And we discovered later, that many people didn't show up for their pool-bookings, so... I don't know if it would be possible to manage better. We got in the pool twice on three days (at a little odd times though) so I can't really complain about that :)

The location was very convenient, literally across from the Gothenburg Central station which was great as we had an early morning train out and next it also next to Nordstan shopping. The staff were super friendly especially when we had one of our luggage delivered to the hotel as it didn't make it onto our flight. I didn't expect much with the breakfast but it was great! There was meatballs, bacon, crepes, yoghurt, granola, fruits, bread, ham, cheese etc. and all sorts of drinks - coffee, tea, juice and even sparkling water. We didn't managed to wake up early enough for breakfast the second morning when we left to our next destination. It turns out you can have an early breakfast if you're checking out real early. I used to the gym which was basic but had enough facilities to do a good work out. I wished I had my swimmers with me to use the pool and sauna.

There's nothing bad to say other than, it was extremely dangerous for a child to be roaming around in the gym, there was her father/grandfather but he was not watching her one bit while she tried to pick up weights and rolling around all over the equipment while completely wet from the pool... I think there should be a proper protocol about age limit in the gym area. I was super happy about getting a bathtub however, it was an open bath that was just placed there not attached to the walls so the water went everywhere in the bathroom.

Our stay at the Scandic Europa was awesome! It is really well located, is tastefully decorated, with a well-stocked breakfast with great variety. Cool lobby & eating area. The staff were soo kind, gotta give a special mention to Rasmus and Andreas on the front desk. Such a warm welcome upon first arrival and upon our return to the hotel every night of our stay. We ended up on the top floor in a seemingly recently renovated room. It was really comfy, especially the beds, and clean and very tidy. Nice tea & coffee selection in the room, and big TV on the wall to play music through with a wake up function! We never even attended the gym, sauna, or pool as there was so much to do around the city.

The bathroom in our room had a weird smell upon arrival and throughout. :/ Also could have done with a bath mat/better sealing in the shower as it seemed to flood a lil. Heated floor was nice tho!

Breakfast was good, healthy and had variety. Rooms were clean, facilities were good. Swimming pool was good. Location was just great, just next to Nordstan mall. Was helpful to spend evenings in Winter. McDonald's and Kebab were open past midnight.

I should have enquired earlier about the parking. The parking space is a dedicated one for Scandic inside the Nordstan mall's parking space. For someone new to Gothenburg, driving around between these trams and going a couple of circles to park for the first time was difficult. Valet parking would have been great atleast for the first time. For someone new, prebook your parking space with Scandic, park your car in dedicated place in 6th floor inside Nordstan's parking space.

Location is very convenient right next to the main railwaystation and a big mall. All city center activites nearby and trams at the doorstep. Excellent breakfast. Familyroom was big.

We stayed at summer heat wave and the room was hot. Kids told that the matresses for bunk beds are very hard to sleep on. The hotel was full due to Gothia cup, this propably affected cleanliness of public areas. Didn't see anyone vacuum the corridors during our stay. Also saunas were a bit dissapoointing. Weir layout and no hooks or lockers for clothes and equipment. Shower space was smaller than in a usual private home saunas.

Great location - just over the road from Central Station. The Scandic Europa is a beautiful hotel. Every part of the hotel was very clean. The rooms were spacious and modern. Breakfast was lovely for a buffet. There was something for everyone - vegan and gluten free options. Staff were all super helpful and friendly. I was able to message the hotel prior to arriving and they replied quickly with my requests. 100% recommend.

The only downside was that I didn't book for longer. Next time we will definitely check out the pool. We will definitely be returning.

Their breakfast was mindblowing. I have never seen such a breakfast spread in any of my stays at hotels around the world. Please try the duck liver patte. The location was great, right in front of the central train station. Everything was in walking distance. The mattresses were great, and the window blinds were completely darkening the room which is perfect for the white Swedesh summer nights. I slept like a child.

The only small hiccup was the automated air conditioning system that kept blowing cool air and didn't comply to the thermostat, but the hotel staff kindly covered up the radiators and the problem was solved. Thank you!

The location of the property is perfect if you are arriving by either train or bus, the property is opposite the train station. Our room was very spacious, we had a room at the end of a corridor. The bed was very comfy, showers were nice and hot. The bar area was very nice and relaxed and busy with a good atmosphere. Breakfast was good but a little busy at times.

The air conditioning wasn’t great and the room was hot , only downside of being by the station, it was noisy with the windows open and our room was at the front of the hotel.

I cannot rate this hotel highly enough. It really exceeded my expectations. We are a family of 4 with two kids aged 4 and 7. The family room we booked was very large, with a fridge and kettle. There was a sofa bed and a normal bed. Comfortable, clean and warm. We visited Gothenburg to do the Liseberg Christmas market and explore the town. The town itself is small but clean. The people are very friendly and there are loads of eating options. This hotel is so well located. Literally over the road from the central station. Our flight got in at landvetter at 10pm and we were able to take a bus to city centre and walk across the road to the hotel. Public transport is free for children under the age of 8. The hotel had a lovely warm pool which you could pre book and a nice size gym. My children really enjoyed the gym and I enjoyed the sauna. The hotel is located adjacent to a huge shopping centre called Nordstaan, the pizza hut connects the hotel and the mall. My kids were never wanting for eating options which is fantastic for me. The hotel breakfast is really superb, you had all your hot and cold options. Endless teas, coffees, juices. Liseberg is great for kids of all ages and the wonderful thing was we did not have to queue for rides, we literally walked onto them. What I did not expect was how cold the place would be at this time of year. It was extremely cold..I highly recommend this place if you are travelling with children, it is hassle free and you pay a little extra for early check it or late check out. Our flight was at 8pm and were were allowed to check out at 4pm which worked well for us. The staff at the front desk were so friendly and helpful.
