This was just such a beautiful hotell I am at a lack for words. The design and architecture was so beautiful, probably the best Spa I have stayed at on this side of Skandinavia. The food was amazing, the rooms super nice and the staff very welcoming!! I haven’t been this impressed with a hotell in years. Pure feeling of luxury in every part of our stay, for a very value-for-money experience. Definitely coming back!!

Love the concept..the garden inspired...the noise from DFDS ship loading was a bit hard to ignore...the spa is almost perfect except the jacuzzi wasnt a jacuzzi,it didnt produce so much as a fart let alone a bubble

see above...im not complaining per se but i think for a remote venue you need to be as close to perfect as possible...the staff were brilliant and friendly

It is a strange place, at first everything looks nice but with time you start noticing things. The compound is very beautifully designed, there are many games that you can play, ping pong, table football, they have the spa but I wasn't there for that. I had a great dinner at their restaurant, good food and very good wine and beer. The lady at the reception was always smiling and talking and asking if everything ok. For me the location was great I came there to be close to Volvo Museum which is just nearby. Indeed if you come there to visit the city it is a bit far. I liked it that it is more isolated. And many places to park.

Now things that you start noticing, the room was cold, no heating inside, if they give you the room with number 101-104 at the ground floor then this might happen. I was too tired to go and ask to check it. The room indead is small but with a better design can look better and lighter. The breakfast is not OK the food is tasteless and low quality ingredients and I didn't like the breakfast area, was too dark, it tried to be more discrete, but the lights were too low. Now the staff...except the lady at the reception, the other ones were not too happy to work there, you could see their grim faces, not a good feeling. Overall looks like a cheap hotel which wants to be 4 star but it is not. It does the job but don't expect anything amazing.

Breakfast was nice and varied, peaceful feeling and relaxing feeling kicks in as you enter Arken. Design features.

Could have a minifridge in the rooms, a better fan in some of the bathrooms. Connecting rooms for older children, a couple of ours of bathing and sauna could be including to price

Very nice and comfortable rooms, wleness and spa with lots of saunas, outside pools with hot water, unfortunately we left before main breakfast-but they served mini breakfast for early flight departures, we appreciated it a lot! We relaxed, enjoyed our evening and had nice time. There are many decorations and art around the hotel, it was quite nice to see so much of it.

Maybe little far of Gothenburg center, but we knew that. There is bus service to city, if you need it.

The hotel is very cozy and comforting with lots of art and ambience from the minute you enter the lobby. The spa has two floors of facilities and that is definitely the highlight of the stay. We went for a dance competition and were very impressed with how the whole event was handled by the hotel. The restaurant was lovely, all the food we had was impressive and really good quality.

The hotel location is a bit strange in between industrial area but some views from the spa is over the bay area and you don't notice the factory/refinery etc. You are about 20 mins out of Gothenburg so not exactly a quick trip to the city for exploring. But you come for the spa and relaxing so that shouldn't be your main goal

I've already booked my next stay here as it is a great hotel for the area, the restaurant is top notch with easy parking and nice staff. The room this time was a good size (it is worth the extra as the basic rooms are quite small). The gym is decent.

Gardens and spa area were lovely. Different saunas in the spa area were fantastic!

It’s a pity that the view of the archipelago is fringed with the commercial harbour close to the hotel.

Beautiful hotel with a nice sense of chic and wellbeing. Landscaped grounds and gardens were exceptional.

The hotel sits within an entirely industrial port area, so there was nowhere to explore on foot nearby once I'd walked in the grounds.

The hotel is literally perfect - it was pleasure to spend time in the lobby, in the room or just walking around. Many thanks for SHUFL. in the hall on the 1st floor :) Nature, food, staff - everything was great, really enjoyed our stay!

Location is a bit far from the city center. You can get to the center pretty fast (30-40 minutes by bus, 15-20 minutes by car), but public transport is going to the Arken area rarely. So we had to get back to the hotel in the evening through a forest for a couple of times. Basically I can't complain because the hotel's location is close to nature, we saw hairs and even deer not far from the hotel :)
