The location was walkable from the nearest railway station. It is set back from the main road and although there is some traffic, mainly during the day, we did not find it a problem. From the hotel we went on walks uphill or into Disentis. Although the hot food at breakfast was I think limited to boiled eggs, the available coffee, and cold meat, cheese, bread, cereal etc. was first class! Therefore I am glad we paid for the bed&breakfast room rate. You can also eat lunch or dinner in the hotel, rather than walking into Disentis.

The room size was a little small. If there was a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities it would be better.

Excellent value. Quiet. Nice terrace and views. Location is approximate 20min walk outside Disentis - but only 6mins from the local train stop. We were travelling to cycle and did drive. Staff very helpful. Rooms good very clean. Good hearty portions of food and decent breakfast. Would definitely stay again

Not much really. Rooms a lodge functional rather than luxury but good.

The setting for the hotel was lovely. There was plenty of scenery all around. We enjoyed exploring the area. The Disentis Abbey is a must see! The included breakfast was wonderful and the breakfast room very welcoming.

Some of the staff were smoking and there was a strong smell of smoke inside the hotel. Our room was a little tired looking, but this was reflected in the price and the room itself was comfortable enough.

Location was terrific, less than 4 minutes walk from Acla de Fontauna station on the MGB (if you're travelling from Disentis, take the train one station up the line). Very peaceful with nice alpine views and a good base for exploring both the village of Disentis and the Oberalp pass. Check in was easy with the staff speaking good English whenever my rather poor Schweizer Deutsch let me down, and the breakfast was excellent. The room had all the amenities promised and was remarkably comfortable given it's size, and the whole stay was excellent value. The hotel's own restaurant is also one of the better value places to eat in Disentis.

Nothing needed improving, but the only thing to be wary of for those who haven't visited Switzerland before is that you will need to pay the regional tourist tax upon arrival (normally about 4CHF per person per night but it does vary between locations). This is normal at most independent Swiss hotels and campsites.

Great lodge, renovated although they kept some very old fashioned features. Amazing view, big parking and suitable for families with a huge playground nearby. The rooms are tidy. They have a restaurant serving local food (above average). The breakfast is great offering multiple options notably tasty and crispy bread.

Carpet is quite old

Staff were exceptionally welcoming, friendly and accommodating. The lodge had a rustic, wooden warmth which told a charming story. Views of the Alps and Swiss countryside were breath-taking. Breakfast was delicious - continental. Evening restaurant was extraordinary - included some amazing traditional/ local food. Thank you for making our holiday so brilliant!

Could have been tea/ coffee facilities in the room.

Well placed for the part of Switzerland we were visiting. The price was really good. The food was excellent. The staff were very friendly and professional. Very popular with fellow motorcyclists. Everything was in a good state of repair. Very clean and cmfortable.

It was in such a beautiful spot! Really easy to find and very visible from the road. Plenty of level on site parking for our motorcycles. A lovely warm welcome from our host, the food was amazing, and they put the sauna on for us which was a lovely treat after a long day. The bed was really comfortable and the shower was powerful!

It was a little dated, the room was snug and we would have loved some tea/coffee making facilities in the room for in the morning.

It was the best place to a disconnect trip. The hotel has everything you need and well located to supermarkets and the areas around. I would day having a car in that area is a must to enjoy the villages around and so on.

The only thing I would say is that it lacks of real blinders and the sun hit hard in the morning so it become hot and hard to sleep in the morning. But something manageable if you are going to walk around the area ;)
