Newrise Hotel is so awesome! Thanks so much for such a wonderful and affordable stay, it's amazing! The check-in process was easy and could be done by credit card, and the security is high with swipe passes required to get in the front door, to use the elevator and a metal key for room doors. The beds are really comfortable and perfectly made, and the AC is really effective. The room and bathroom were extremely clean, not a speck of dirt was present. The shower was a hot power shower. It is around the corner from Youbike stations and close to downtown Kaohsiung, Central Park, the beach and BoEr arts district.

You might need to call the Taiwanese phone number if you arrive outside of check-in time, because there is a slim chance that staff may be elsewhere in the hotel and not present at the front check-in counter.

The room was very well cleaned, and good size. Location is okay, 10 minutes from central park and metro.

It’s an environmental friendly hotel, which is amazing, but they don't provide glass cup, or mugs, not even for morning coffee or tea, only paper cups, which is very uncomfortable and feels cheap. :( The hotel is quite old, but well cleaned, curtains are very old and ugly, but felt clean. But it would be nice to change them.

The room was comfortable and the atmosphere was nice. It was like living in a condo. It had a dedicated closet to put your clothes and you can control the AC to how high or low you want it to be. Clean as well. The room had windows as well.

Unfortunately the room was quite noisy as the windows are not sealed so you can hear all the sounds from the street. I was also able to hear the neighbor talking in the next room as well. The location is at an area where it's one of those streets that doesn't have sidewalks. Might not be a complete dislike but the shower is a Japanese style shower.

The hairdryer in the room wasn’t working properly but I got a very fast reply from the official LINE account, which is impressive as it was already 2 in the morning.

checked on the map, it was a bit walking distance from the station but it’s very easy to hire en electric scooter via ‘goshare’, so totally fine in the end if not a big fan of walking.

Really neat and nice hotel right in the city centre of Kaohsiung. The personel is able to speak English as she helped us with a lot! Besides, there is a really cool market just one block away. Regarding the price it is a very convenient option to stay in!

MRT is a bit far away, around 15-20 minutes walk.

A bit problem with English, but even with some struggle, it's nothing too difficult to overcome :) Very nice stuff, not bad location for sightseeing, very good for eating

1) Good location : Convenient to go 7-Eleven, just 2 shops beside. Walk about 2-3 minutes to the daily morning market. 2) Morning duty staff is very friendly

Room is a bit squeezy and stuffy.

The location is good. It’s easy to take public transportation from here. It’s also close to one of night markets. The staffs are nice. The room is quite spacious with good city view.
