I liked that there was free breakfast and plenty of space in the bed areas. They also had free lockers to use—just be careful how you use them, since there are instructions, and if you don’t read them carefully, they can make loud noises if you mess up lol. It’s close to public transportation, and the staff are really nice!

I didn’t like that you need to have your room key card in the bed areas to use the lights and charging ports. Also, there was no AC in the bathroom area across the hallway or in the laundry facilities upstairs and on the first floor, so it was very hot. Even in the bedrooms, it took a while for me to cool off. Additionally, there were at least 14 beds in the female dormitory room, which was new for me, but it was fine for the two nights I was there.

Omg this hostel was amazing. Female only dorm. Privacy curtains. Clean showers and toilets. There were air vents in the beds! And counters with mirrors to quick get ready if you needed. Breakfast was a huge buffet with a mixture of asian foods and breads.View of 101 from the dorm window! Comfy beds. Lockers were good with separate number locks. Staff was really nice as well. There's a bar right outside the 1st floor entrance which is super cute. 7-11 across the street and only a few min walk to Raohe, so great location!

No shelf in the beds to put phones on at night. Outlets were at the foot of the bed. I'm just being nitpicky really. I've stayed in hundreds of hostels and this was easily in the top 5.

Location - I drive up to Taipei from the south. I'm close to the least expensive car park I know in Taipei. (still seeking FREE parking spots - I'm onto a lead! Wish me luck. There's a nearby park and market street. bike and subway get me anywhere, fast. AND it's the only Taipei location I've stayed in where it's restful for me to arrive, to be there, and to stay. I'm grounded and at ease for all Taipei offers. ALSO they improve ALL. THE. TIME. This time: morning buffet butter was room temperature (last time straight out of the fridge, so melting was an issue for me.) They seem to have caring capable eyes on everything, and so they deal with tiny things, fast.

Um. Nothing comes to mine. Everywhere I looked, everything I interacted with was in gentle relaxed order. That's amazing for a hostel/hotel.

We really enjoyed our week at NK Hostel. It felt safe and our quadruple suite with two bedrooms, two fridges, two TVs and two bathrooms was great value for money, spacious and comfortable. We loved the soft towels, power showers and heated toilet seats and were glad of the air conditioning. Everything was clean and the room smelt fresh. We found the staff friendly and helpful, the hallways and reception/common room/kitchen area were pleasant, there were plenty of options at breakfast and the laundry room worked well. We were able to leave our luggage at reception for the whole day once we'd checked out. It was helpful to have the free water machine in the kitchen where we could refill our bottles. We were pleased that there is a recycling bin and the hostel is trying its best to be eco friendly by not washing towels or cleaning rooms unnecessarily during the stay. The location was great for walking to Raohe Street Night Market & the impressively ornamental Songshan Ciyou Temple and we enjoyed meals at Creative Pasta and Zhuji in the Songshan Train Station building. We also visited the nearby Wufenpu Clothing Market, Taipei 101, National Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall and Songshan Cultural and Creative Park with tasty delights at 79 NIGARI Tofu Pudding shop, Lazzy Pet Friendly Cafe and Sushiro in Xinyi District. There were bus stops within 5-10 mons walking distance and we found it easy enough to make trips to Yehliu Geopark, Qingtaingang Grasslands, Shilin Nightmarket for Deer's Flower Cake (yum!), Jiufen Old Street, Houtong Cat Village, Taipei Zoo & Maokong Gondola plus explore Daan Park with the Artist, Flower and Jade Markets nearby. The Nanjing Sanmin underground station is 7 mins walk. It was staight forward to catch the green line to Beimen and walk to Taipei Main Station for the express train to Taoyuan International Airport. Would definitely feel keen to stay at NK Hostel again if we go back to Taipei.

The WiFi was a bit temperamental and we were at the front of the building so there was noise all night from the road but we got used to that. The setting isn't very attractive on a busy main road with overpasses but the interior of the building makes up for it.

The capsule bed is for double people and very spacious. The curtain ensures your privacy. The bathroom and toilet is incredibly clean. They must have cleaned it regularly. You don’t see wet floor stain like other hostels. I love the breakfast. You have the usual toast and Chinese breakfast with congee/pickles. Lots of salads, fruits and boiled eggs.

You have to go past the main reception room to get to the toilet which is slightly inconvenient for the midnight wee 😊. However, the shower room is just outside of the room.

The foundational culture of this place. Always iterating. Always a sense they operate as a respectful tight team. Each visit (its my favorite Taipei base) something upgraded in a creative way

Phone call ahead of time with a "grilling" dynamic. Starting to lean toward machine-like and untrusting away from (till now) their amazing warm human feel. I can only guess how challenging its been for them to operate with both high standards and warm open culture. I hope the signs of distrust and guardedness are temporary.

It is hostel, but also has separate rooms in which we were. Room was good and big, and also had very good view to Taipei 101. Breakfast was OK. Location of the hotel is good and it is very close to one night market.

The staff!! Ian was super knowledgeable about local things to do like getting a transportation card and finding a yoga class. Comfortable room and bed, good shower, and breakfast!!

The shuttle service from the airport seemed excessive. A huge van arrived for only me. Too expensive and a waste of fuel. Next time will arrive earlier in the day and take public transport.

Room: Large with very comfortable bed and great bathroom. Had an amazing view of Taipei 101. No complaints at all. Staff: Staff were very friendly and accommodating Breakfast: Good filling breakfast with varying options of things to eat. Location: Within walking distance to subway station (less than 10 minutes) and Songshan Station (for trips further away) if you don't mind walking 20 minutes or so. Can easily walk to Roahe Night Market which is great. Also, good connection with buses too as there is a bus stop not too far away.

Stayed here for two days during my first trip to Taiwan! Was worried about staying at a hostel at first but this facility exceeded my expectations ☺️ Staff were friendly, bunk beds were roomy, breakfast was also really good. Bus station just a few steps away although you'd have to walk for around ~10mins for the train station. Will definitely stay here again when I come back 😊
